[5.0] "Gets a bad rep for his comedy work in WWE. Sheepherders were a good team for their era as they were a hardcore brawling style before that style took over in the mid to late 90s. Memorable tag team in WWE that got over with the fans, although had more bad comedy matches than good matches there."

He was just out there grunting "that's right cousin! ", almost never trying at a promo ever. Usually let Butch take the lead in ALL facets and regards. If Butch was holding his own in Royal Rumbles, Luke was getting eliminated in almost record time. Only good for a *point and laugh* here or there, otherwise f#ckin' DIRE. 0.75 rounded up."

By 1991 the Whackers were pretty much just jobbers but they were still over with the fans no matter how goofy they were booked and they made good money for easy work, so who am I to knock them?"

[8.0] "One of the innovators of the hardcore wrestling style. Had great success as a booker for the puerto rican wrestling scene ( WWC for Carlos in the early 80's/ IWA for Savio in the early 2000's). Had good in-ring psychology as a both the violent heel that he portrayed early on in his career and the fun loving babyface that he still plays to this day. Has had a ton of longevity in the business and a lot of that is contributed to him being able to keep the bushwhacker thing fresh. He wrestles sparingly EVEN NOW and people still do the bushwhacker march, want to be licked by him, etc. Nothing but praise for Bushwhacker Luke."

[5.0] "Luke is officially in the top of the oldest wrestlers who still perform and it's just amazing how devoted he is to this sport, especially considering that in the early years of his career, together with Butch, he participated in quite brutal hardcore matches. In terms of wrestling, I never liked the Bushwhackers when they moved to the WWF back in the late eighties, and the current matches involving Luke are all the more clearly not the 5-star classics for all time. But still, I consider his dedication to the cause rather a plus and there is nothing wrong with the fact that he pleases fans by performing in small companies."

CecilIvanish wrote on 13.07.2016:
[8.0] "Before the WWF he was half of one of the most hardcore tag teams of their time; unfortunately, the gimmick they were given by the WWF (that they interpreted in a great way) limited them on the ring and left a very strong mark, so that most people will only identify Butch and Luke with the goofy Bushwackers."
