His run ever since starting AEW has been atrocious, he can barely land half his moves anymore and he refuses to change anything about his moveset. I remember when he almost paralyzed himself trying to do some 630 backflip thing at a GCW show, he's lucky to be alive but insists on still trying to kill his legacy. Just why?"

Reminds me of modern workers like Dante Martin and people at the same time as him such as Matt Sydal. Very creative with spots. Only reason he is a 7 is due to the fact he does botch a good amount, sometimes to the detriment of his health. 7."
[5.0] "All I recall is him getting fired for doing so many flips that he ended up being sick all over the place. I'll give Evens his due: he's probably one of the best spot-monkeys ever in his prime and someone who was doing shit that I don't think anyone has done as smoothly or as frequently since. His appeal was unique in the early ROH days because no one was doing what he was doing in the ring: essentially a indie Jeff Hardy in his appeal to fans and how he'd be thrown with big acts to be flung around and never win, but always get in some good shots and get over. Here's the issue: he never learned how to actually work a match, and only started to do such a thing when his body started to drastically break down from his intense workrate. His strikes are weak-looking and his technique/mat work is really lacking, more seeming like a way to pad things until the next spot. Evens visibly struggles when he's not allowed to do big spot after big spot and his AEW run was defined by his incapability to adapt beyond botching spots over and over. There are some good matches in the second stage of his career but it's mostly him struggling with a generally faster style of wrestling with a older and more worn down body."
[9.0] "To me he is easily one of the greatest high-flyers of all time. He was high-flying before it was cool and I believe he inspired many names like Ricochet and Will Ospreay. He botches a little too much but he is very creative in the ring and I think he is solid on the mic too. He's such a solid wrestler that never fails to entertain the audience. A well deserved 9 from me."
[5.0] "A very solid high flyer with an innovative style during his prime but for the past 8 or so years jack Evans has just been pretty hard to watch."
[8.0] "Previously, he was positioned mainly as an "addition" to Teddy Hart and not very successfully performed in the growing CZW and ROH. He was just a young athletic guy, but after that he started to make a name for himself, starting to wrestle in PWG and AAA, where he later teamed up with Angelico - one of my favorite teams in AEW, which is mercilessly buried (although Jack himself admitted that in this It's also his fault.) He's been a spot wrestler his entire career, but that style wasn't as common before and Jack's skills seemed phenomenal. His 630 splash is just a work of art. Unfortunately, in recent years he has lost his form and started to botch a lot, but he is still quite capable of putting on an amazing match."
[3.0] "I'm sure Jack Evans had a successful career prior to coming to AEW, but I haven't seen that so I am only basing this score on his AEW tenure. Jack Evans is not very good. He botches a big important spot at least once almost every match. I commend attempting to do flips and stuff but if you can't do it safely just stop trying them. In other areas, his striking is poor and unconvincing. He has one of the most bland looks on the AEW roster. I'd suggest he retire at this point to avoid serious injury either to himself or his opponents, and to keep at least some of his prior legacy from getting overshadowed by his poor work in AEW."
[6.0] "I like Evans, but whatever impressive moves and career he has had in the past clearly isn't coming through in AEW and it really sucks since he could be doing so much better and proving everyone wrong. I actually find Angelico's matches more interesting because of Evans' frequent botching and same old moves every single match. He doesn't have much to offer right now and it's disappointing."

He worked well in Lucha Underground & I think Angelico is a good fit for him going forward in AEW. I would like to see the duo get a proper team name sometime soon."

But I note that he is somehow trying to be a good villain. As time goes by, his push in Lucha Underground increased and I see something great upon him. He starts to throw some good matches, he tries to match the flexibility and aerial skills from luchadors like Drago, Fenix, or Aerostar, and this is the good part when he can bring his foulmouthed personality alongside his wrestling skills (now I see a true villain upon him). I also start to trace his past in ROH and AAA, and I find this man develops something way better than he ever did before. He maybe not good enough to be a Lucha Underground Champion, but retaining the trios title (either as heel or face, as I think he also had a great skill to be both) could be great for him. I also can't wait for him to hold the Gift of the Gods Championship. I see a bright future in Jack Evans as he always bringing a great performance and year by year he is better than before."

[8.0] "A regular with ROH in the 2000s and a mainstay with AAA in Mexico since 2008, Evans is primarily known for his high-flying skills, and few can pull off such impressive aerial moves with such amazing regularity as him. Although in the past this style has had him sometimes pegged as a "spot-monkey, " his most recent major stateside role with Lucha Underground has shown him to have grown as a performer, adding a bit more context to the big spots he does, becoming a decent striker and an excellent seller in the process. With these skills as well as a certain RVD-like laid-back charisma, I wouldn't be surprised to see him rise to an even more prominent role within Lucha Underground as it goes into its second season."

He did a lot of fancy, athletic moves in the ring that I have never seen before like that corkscrew 630 he did off the top rope he did onto Anthony Nese, that was awesome! Because Jack impressed me so much, he is now my pick to beat Austin Aries, Zema Ion and Low-Ki to gain that TNA contract! He definitely deserves a contract with TNA after that great match he had with Anthony Nese and Jesse Sorensen on Impact!"

Er hat zudem IMO keinerlei In Ring Physiologie und eklatante Darstellungsprobleme."

Wenn ich denke Was Joe oder Abyss mit ihm gemacht haben oder wie Danielson ihn verknotet hat.. Sehr Gut!"

Sowas braucht Evans aber nicht. Punkt. Er lebt von seinen reihenweise missglückten Suizidversuchen im Ring."
[5.0] "Evans' risikoreicher Wrestlingstil war für eine Weile bei Ring Of Honor "in", weswegen er als menschlicher Gummiball natürlich Aufmerksamkeit zog. Unvergessen bleiben auch die Momente, als Evans von Samoa Joe aus den Latschen geprügelt oder von Bryan Danielson wie eine Ziehharmonika zusammengefaltet wurde. Viel irgendwann vom Rand der Indywelt und verdient sich seine Brötchen nun in Mexiko -- ob erfolgreich oder nicht, vermag ich nicht zu bewerten."
[4.0] "Atemberaubende Flugmanöver und top in der Disziplin Sich-stretchen-und-durch-die-Gegend-schmeißen-lassen, einerseits. Auf der anderen Seite stehen eine hohe Fehlerquote plus ein unter anderem aber nicht nur damit zusammenhängender Unglaubwürdigkeitsfaktor, ein schnelles Sattsehen an seinen Spots, das er selten anderweitig ausgleichen kann - wobei ich das Gefühl habe, es leigt mehr am fehlenden Willen als am fehlenden Können. Wäre eigentlich dennoch als Arcade-Wrestler für weniger anspruchsvolle Momente zu gebrauchen, wenn da nicht noch sein letzter Mangel wäre: Das peinliche Gehabe eines 13-jährigen Wannabe-Checkers, das als Heel-Image ja noch okay ist, das er aber leider auch als Babyface und - noch schlimmer - wenn mal Ernsthaftigkeit gefragt wäre, nicht abstellen kann."
[6.0] "Als Spotwrestler definitv eine Granate, aber ansonsten eher schlechter. In Tag team Matches eher einsätzbar als in längeren Single Matches und in wahres Bewgungswunder, dem es aber im Gegensatz zu einem Matt Sydal an wrestlerischen Fähigkeiten fehlt. Er wird bei ROH sicher nie über den jetzigen Status kommen, aber trotzdem seh ich ihn immer wieder ganz gerne."
[9.0] "Je mehr ich von Evans sehe, desto besser gefällt er mir. Waren es anfangs "nur" die perfekt ausgeführten High Risk Aktionen ist er doch auch ein unglaublich harter Hund, wenn es ums Einstecken geht. Man merkt ihm an, dass er sich schon im Hart-Dungeon hat verbiegen lassen. Jemandem, der sich im Ring so dermaßen verknoten lässt, kann ich einfach keine schlechte Note geben."
[7.0] "Hat sich in letzter Zeit doch IMO etwas verbessert. Haut seit seiner Rückkehr von der Verletzung nicht mehr ganz so viele Spots raus, sondern bringt auch Technik und sogar Matwrestling in seine Matches mit ein. Z. Z. doch eine gute Entwicklung, die Jack da durchläuft."
[8.0] "Klar ist Evans eine geborene Bump-Machine mit seiner beweglichkeit aber auch sein Seeling von Moves ist ab und zu grandios. Ab und zu denkt man wirklich, das man ihm grad den Rücken gebrochen hat. MicWork lässt klar zu wünschen übrig, aber für 8 Punkte reicht es bei mir. Ich bin fasziniert von dem Kerl.."
[8.0] "Muss gestehen, dass ich erst 3 Matches von ihn gesehen habe, war aber angetan von ihn. Ok, Gimmick ist Müll (Cena für Arme), Mic-Work halt auch noch ausbaufähig, aber Junge, was der im Ring leisten KANN... ist echt immens. Hat sich kostant weiterentwickelt. Werde mal versuchen, mehr von ihn zu Gesicht zu bekommen."
[6.0] "Ist ein ganz schöner Spotmonkey, aber bei ihm hängt auch wirklich ne Menge von der Tagesform ab! Hat er Bock, kann er begeistern, an anderen Tagen sollte er lieber zu Hause bleiben!"
[8.0] "Anfangs dachte ich Geil , was der im Ring zeigt. Dann kehrte aber das Gefühl ein , das er immer das gleiche zeigt. Trotzdem gibts ne gute zwei , er muß nur die richtigen Gegner bekommen. Mit den einen stellt er ein großes Match auf die Beine , mit anderen wirds schnell langweilig. Er selbst kann halt kein Match aufbauen , also liegts am Gegner."
[8.0] "Evans ist mit Sicherheit im Bereich Agilität die Nummer 1; klar hapert es vor allem an der Stiffness, aber seine Welt ist das Flying und das Verbiegen. Evans unterhält; kriegt die 2!"
[4.0] "Früher mochte ich ihn, aber in der letzten zeit geht er mir voll auf den sack! Im grunde ein Spot Monkey. Das einzigste was an ihm rockt ist der 630°!"
[4.0] "Als ich ihn das erste mal sah, war ich begeistert. Nach dem dritten, vierten Match stellte sich allerdings sehr schnell dieser "Smoke on the water" Effekt ein. Man findet dieses Stück eigentlich genial, kann es aber genau so eigentlich nicht mehr hören. Wenn dies zudem bei Jack Evans bereits nach dem vierten Match passiert, ist dies nicht gut. Stets die gleichen Aktionen, die Matches laufen zumeist nach dem gleichen Schema ab (jeder darf ihn mal verhauen, er fliegt dann kreuz und quer durch den Ring und darf am Ende dann auch hin und wieder einmal gewinnen) und abseits seiner Kicks wirken seine Aktionen zumeist lasch und ohne Drive. Er müsste sich aus meiner Sicht so langsam einmal ein wenig weiter entwickeln, denn dass er generell etwas kann, sieht man."
[8.0] "Naja, derzeit wohl der beste Spotwrestler seiner Art und, was Promos betrifft... zwar nichts nennenswertes, aber er kann sich über Wasser halten. Zwischendurch ist Evans immer was ganz feines, aber langfristig wirklich nicht und das wird wohl auch der Grund sein, wieso ich mir bis heute noch nie eines seiner Best Ofs zugelegt habe."
[8.0] "Manchmal habe ich ja doch Angst um ihn, wenn er mal wieder einen Spot komplett versemmelt. Aber so lang Evans danach wieder aufsteht und weitermachen kann, ist ja alles in Ordnung. Wie schon erwähnt wurde: Keiner läßt sich so schön rumwerfen wie er. Und wer liebt es bitte nicht, diesen selbstverliebten Möchtegern-Gangster tanzen zu sehen, bevor er dann im Sekundentakt auf die Matte gebrettert wird?"
