Also, one of the most genuinely nice stars I've ever had the honor and pleasure to meet. Rich Swann is truly incredible and one of my picks for the most underrated list. |

His character work aside, he's a pretty good wrestler. He's mostly a high-flyer with a lot of sharp strikes thrown in, though he was definitely always overshadowed by his various contemporaries throughout his career. His aerial attacks were never especially spectacular but they were still pretty good, since he had good energy and mostly really smooth and precise technique. If his character work was more palatable then I'd have liked him a lot more, but he's definitely pretty good when playing a minor/supporting role in a match. |

He can have a great match with the right superstar like Kenny Omega, but usually it's more average or sometimes above average. In an era of great wrestlers though and strong high-flyers, Swann can struggle to stand out on his own. It was great that Impact gave him a run at the top but I think it proved he's not really a main event star. I struggle remembering many things about him with biggest stand out being his match with Omega that was more due to Omega than Swann. Still a fine performer. |

But in all seriousness, he's a great wrestler and if you watch enough of his matches, you'll come around to him, I wasn't a fan of his at first either. |
