As each brother had a different on-screen personality, Universo 2000 was played up as a violent, almost bloodthirsty, wrestler who cared nothing for his rivals' wellbeing and was well ready to seriously injure them. His evil reputation got an unwanted but enormous boost when Rayo de Jalisco Jr, suffered a nearly fatal neck injury while taking his dreaded Martillo Negro piledriver, and this was later worked in an angle with Perro Aguayo, who needed to undergo neck surgery, and which was made to seem like the effect of another Martillo Negro. Universo 2000 was an absolutely hated rudo who played his part well, but his legacy is mostly that of endless kicking, punching and posing. |
