[8.0] "A lucha legend, hero in Mexico, I've just started watching his stuff, so a lot more of the catalogue to go through. A very talented grappler and quick moving, ariel junior heavyweight. Always has a highlight every match, pretty consistent in his performances in the 90s and 2000s. Lucha Libre hasn't ever really been my thing but El Hijo del Santo is the first proper full-time lucha star i've enjoyed."

[10.0] "My favorite luchador of all time and one of the greatest pro wrestlers ever. For three decades, Santo stayed at the top of his career with consistent high-level performances, remarkable longevity, and a match catalog filled with quality. His in-ring style is versatile enough to mesh with any contrasting style and still produce great matches. Santo's greatest strength is his in-ring versatility - being equally skilled in mat wrestling, high-flying, and brawling, something very few wrestlers can truly master. He is the ultimate técnico, yet his 1996 rudo turn was as shocking and impactful to me as Bash at the Beach '96. The "grappling, high-flying, bloody brawl" formula in his matches is one of the most reliable structures in wrestling, enriching his career with countless bouts ranging from very good to outright classic. By never losing his legendary silver mask, Santo also built a unique record in apuestas matches. His decades-long consistency was sustained by his incredible technique, selling, speed, agility, and fluidity. El Hijo del Santo's legacy transcended Mexico, cementing his place as a respected figure across the entire pro wrestling world. One of the best ever to do it."

[10.0] "Still an excellent worker well into his 60s, El hijo del Santo is a phenomenal talent with an enormous cultural impact in Mexican wrestling and beyond."

[10.0] "One of the greatest to ever do it. His rivalry with Negro Casas is among the best in all of professional wrestling. Fantastic matches with almost all of his contemporaries, a legendary apuestas against Art Barr and Eddie Guerrero, and some of the smoothest ring work of any wrestler push Santito to the upper echelon for me. Everything he does, he does well, almost picture perfect in every maneuver. he could've easily coasted on just the name of his father as other luchadores in a dynasty have done, but el Hijo del Santo crafted a legacy that can stand on its own."

[10.0] "At their best, I don't think I've seen anyone better than El Hijo del Santo. Crafted one of the most appealing formulas in wrestling, while also delivering outstanding performances in just about every style and setting he tried. Unquestionably special. The best high-flyer; so smooth and fluid in execution without coming across as contrived as his contemporaries, nor as choreographed like the majority of wrestlers in that vein since."

He always performs at the highest level, producing many great matches, some of them classic, and shows why he is regarded as one of the greatest. So smooth yet vicious with his technical ability. He can make his dives seem brutal and impacful in a way that no one else can do. He has an iconic name, mask and legacy. And even though he isn't the draw or legend his father was, he is still one of the best."
