[9.0] "A great ex-wrestler in his own right, Eddie Marlin was one of the faces of Memphis Wrestling for decades, most notably as the man acknowledged on Memphis TV as the promoter of the territory. Marlin was involved in countless classic angles, many of which are easily available for viewing on YouTube. Even though he stopped wrestling full-time in the mid 70s, Marlin continued to enter the ring well into his 60s, whenever being the promoter wasn't enough to exert his dominance. In addition to his own accomplishments, he was the father-in-law of Jerry Jarrett and the grandfather of Jeff Jarrett. If there was a Mount Rushmore of Memphis Wrestling, I'd think Marlin would have to be on it."
