Trent Acid

[8.0] "Trent Acid was always your go-to "Spot Monkey." Trent is my favorite CZW wrestler who never had a Death Match. He had incredible charisma and attitude that could charm you into his matches. A true pioneer, literally, because he was in the early Best of the Best tournaments, delivering a great match. Trent demonstrated his talent and versatility with the Iron Man Championship, Tag Team Championship, and Junior Heavyweight Championship, against guys like Jimmy Rave, Ruckus, Jun Kasai, and in many other matches. Many say he's a "What If" wrestler, but for me, I couldn't say exactly what I think. Trent was out of CZW for a few years; all the footage I've seen is from 2004 and earlier, but I can say that I would have loved to see more of him. Play "Chase" - Star Inc."

[8.0] "Trent Acid was a pioneer, having incredible matches with the likes of Jun Kasai, Ruckus, Jimmy Rave, Ric Blade, Winger, Homicide and many others. He was someone you really could have built a whole promotion around while he was indy in his style, his personality and presence were unlike others. I really liked his move-set and determination in matches, never felt like he was just passing time, always felt like he wanted to win. He died at 29, having wrestled since he was young and I feel the wrestling world was worse off massively as he passed. I was glad to have been there from the start, made a genuine lasting impact."

[4.0] "Trent was your typical "spot monkey" in that his matches had little to no ring psychology in them, similar to Teddy Hart and Jack Evans at the time. Him passing that young was sad though, as he still had time to improve when his drug use caught up to him."

[6.0] "Trent Acid was one of the biggest "what ifs" in modern wrestling--a staggering talent whose charisma, ring style, and looks were decades ahead of their time. His blending of aerial athleticism, rockstar swagger, and cocky heel attitude made him a standout on the indie scene, particularly in CZW and ROH. Mainstream stardom never came his way, but his influence was real. WWE's return of John Morrison in the mid-2000s was a striking similarity to Acid's character, look to demeanor, and fans couldn't help but speculate what could have been if Acid had initially gotten the shot. His untimely death only cemented his status as one of wrestling's greatest missed opportunities."

[7.0] "Trent Acid is one word, underrated. He had charisma, good wrestling ability and was one half of the backseat boyz. It's a shame what happened to him but he will always be remembered by anyone who watches CZW."

[8.0] "Easily one of the biggest "What If" stories in modern-day professional wrestling. Trent Acid was arguably the best worker CZW had during their initial launch period, and his team with Johnny Kashmere is still one of the greatest tag teams that indie wrestling has seen from that early-to-mid 2000s time period. It is a travesty that his substance abuse took him as young as it did, but I am glad that his legacy lives on through plenty of the current deathmatch workers in the modern day."

[5.0] "Trent Acid god rest him was a gimmick preacher. He had a good team with Johnny Kashmere as the backseat boyz and well known for his peak run in JCW as the top heel. Had one of the best kicks to the middle section and likely built to become a big star if sober but sadly didnt make it to the promise land."

[6.0] "Trent Acid had a lot of potential but unfortunately drugs took him too soon. He had all the tools, good mic skills, nice charisma, the ability to get the crowd into the match and could go in the ring."

He was also good on the mic and had a fantastic tag team with Johnny Kashmir as the Backseat Boyz. Sad that he died. But surprised to see the low rating. But from what I've seen, he is really good."

[7.0] "Trent Acid was good in the early and mid years of the 2000s. I remember some of his matches with Johnny Kashmere and found them to be enjoyable. When he was in shape, he put on very good junior-heavyweight style matches and was 1 of the best wrestlers in CZW. When the drugs began to show their effects, he became a shell of his former self, and while he could still work a bit, it wasn't to the same degree of quality. Its sad that he died before we could have hopefully seen him either in his best years as a wrestler or career-wise, in greener pastures."
