922.10.2024jpirtle5229.0Shane Haste has always been underrated in my book. Hes been my favorite within TMDK. He can be very charismatic and goofy, but when he steps into the ring he can be one of the best in the world. Just like Matt Riddle, he can switch from fun and goofy to serious in an instant.

1122.09.2024ProbablyHunter9.0I've been a fan of Shane Haste since he and Mikey debuted in NXT, didn't know much about them before then. Shane was heavily held back in-ring and on the mic in NXT/Main Roster and I don't think he was given much of a chance, unless you count SLAPJACK. When watching his run in the G1 and his appearances in ROH and AEW, he seems like a completely different wrestler, similar to how he moved about 10 years before. Very charismatic in the ring and on the microphone, great wrestler.

1604.07.2024crs2857.0Shane Haste is a good wrestler from the Australian indies and NJPW. He is a good tag team wrestler with Nicholls. The less said about his WWE run the better as they got pretty good treatment on NXT but his main roster run was abysmal. Has rebounded really well with his NJPW run.

2307.12.2023MegaSPS9.0shane haste is an unsung hero in njpw right now. he is a great tag team wrestler with mikey nicholls, but hes very underrated on his own. his match with tetsuya naito was one of my favorites in the entire g1 this year and he was always great in noah. shanes wwe run was disappointing unfortunately. he and mikey looked like they were heading towards big things in nxt but shane had a big knee injury that stopped their run. then the slapjack and retribution gimmick happened before shane got released. his njpw run had been a lot of fun so far and im looking forward to his future in the company.

3414.08.2023NEVERoverweightChampion6.0Sometimes feels like a cringy try-hard dude but still has some charisma, a good enough look and has good wrestling abilities so even if I can find him pretty lame at times I think he's still a solid wrestler who can sometimes have a great match depending on the level of his opponent.

4418.07.2023cal90995.0Slightly better than Mikey Nicholls but not seen much from his NJPW run so far. Better athletically and a better promo, but still dull between the bells and a tad annoying.

5910.10.2022Tyler727.0Shane Haste is getting better and better. I feel like Shane Haste's efforts are similar to that of David Finlay, both heavily underrated. This was especially true at this year's Declaration of Power event where he fought Zack Sabre Jr. I think with further effort and the right booking, he's more than capable of becoming a major wrestling star.

6102.09.2022snowyday10.0Very very good. TMDK in NOAH were one of the best gaijin tag team of the 2010's. His stuff in NXT was an unfair observation of his abilities.

7330.07.2021hirsty977.0I always thought he was pretty decent, better than Nick Miller, needs something better than Slapjack
7429.07.2021Upgrayedd8.0Athletic, dynamic and quick are the best words to describe Shane Thorne. The Slapjack gimmick was absolutely horrible, just like the whole entire stable, but Shane Thorne would definitely be able to become a great heel. WWE need to get their booking right, otherwise they'll waste yet another fantastic talent.
7513.07.2021ElPolloLoco4.0I just wanted to copy and paste the comment I wrote for his ertwhile partner Mikey Nicholls and be done with it but he deserves a personalized comment. Like Nicholls Shane Haste/Slapjack is symbolic of my growing disconnect with younger wrestling fans: he's average in the ring (and I am probably being too generous) and worse outside of it but somehow I am supposed to believe he's a misunderstood superstar in the making who just needs better booking to become the next John Cena or Chris Jericho. I don't know: Nicholls was exactly the same before his inexplicable stint in NJPW laid bare for all to see he's just another indie guy: he's fine to watch at the local show but has no business working for a major promotion. Shane Haste is just the same, only people are willing to cut him more slack because of his laughable WWE ring name and having been part of one of the most laughable stables in recent WWE memory. We have had folks like them pass through the WWF, WCW and Crockett undercard by the dozen back in the days: they aren't bad but... come one.

7830.03.2021GoodGoodSnap8.0I will admit I am biased because I grew up watching Shane Haste locally and seeing firsthand the amazing performer that he is - whatever terrible direction he has been given since joining WWE, he still has unlimited potential and when the chains are off, he is truly awe-inspiring.

9523.12.2019Alchemiist10.0He is one of the wrestlers I look forward to watching every Wednesday night. Thorne has so much untapped potential because he hasnt been given a correct storyline its insane. Great heel, great wrestling, and from what I have seen in PROGRESS, a truly talented individual.

10012.08.2019KyleEnjoysWrestling5.0I don't think TM-61 ever connected. They came in to NXT without much fanfare & spent the majority of their time being rather unremarkable. They were above average in the ring, but that can only carry you so far. When Miller left, Thorne was mostly hung out to dry. I think there could be something to him, but I'm not sure he'll ever have much of an impact under the WWE umbrella. It feels like he's going to be an enhancement talent from here on out.
