| 1 | 26.06.2025 | BlackVikingGZ | 6.0 | Kevin Northcutt had a run in early TNA. First, as a member of The Red Shirt Security, a security group formed by him & Ryan Wilson. At first they only did their job, but soon moved to help the recently turn heel Jeff Jarrett on his feud with Jimmy Hart, Erik Watts and Mike Tenay. They became one of Jarrett's henchmen that tried to stop his enemies, specially Raven and Erik Watts. Ryan Wilson didn't last that long on the faction, as he was injured on a Clockwork Orange House Of Fun and never camed back. But that wasn't the end of the group, as Legend joined and continued working as a tag team with Kevin Northcutt. Those two continue feuding with Raven & The Gathering till the end of the year, where they wrestled against them on that memorable steel cage match on the last show of 2003, where The Gathering turned on Raven. The Red Shirts did a very good performance there. In 2004 thet continue being involved in Jarrett's reign of terror where he took control of the company. They had some good matches with AMW, specially the strap match and the tag team that ended with the Red shirts winning after The Naturals interfence. And then they shockingly won the tag titles after defeating 3LK. That wasn't a good match, but at least gave us a memorable moment on the next week when AJ Styles defeated them for the titles on a handicap match (even if he was teaming with Abyss). After losing the titles, they were defeated by El Leon & Dustin Rhodes, which caused Jarrett to hit a guitar shot on Legend and take him out of the company. Northcutt didn't last much longer. Northcutt could so some impressive powermoves (Northcutt Driver) and I could see some potential in him if he continued improving as this big man. With another gimmick those two could have last longer maybe, because Legend & Northcutt were an interesting team that did some good heat segments. They were involved in memorable matches with Raven & The Gathering, AJ Styles and AMW, some of them were far better than they had the right to. The combination of Northcutts power with Legend solid background and abilities could have gone big. It's a shame they didn't do more with them, cause Northcutt had potential and Legend could have been a top name in TNA. |
