704.08.2023Messalla10.0Trevor Murdoch (or Trevor Rhodes, as billed in his "home" promotion, Harley Race's WLW) is a old-school southern brawler, with a style than can satisfy either puroresu or indie classics. Although his redneck gimmick is not particularly affected, his mic skills are definitely lacking, probably also due to some lingering performance anxiety factor. When he seemed to be at the end of full time career he went back to roots, re-inventing himself in NWA, which is not for everyone. Real pro-wrestling enthusiast and hard worker, still today bringing with him the legacy of his too soon disappeared best friend Lance Cade. His physique had many ups and downs, but the character allowed for it. At the age of 40, he has fought in every major promotion in the world and reached some important milestones. This 10 is a tribute to his resilience and his heart, but it is also meant to raise an average that is too low in my opinion.

1125.05.2023Giantfan19805.0I liked Murdoch. He was like a throwback to the old 1980's WWF days and the territory style. An underrated team with Lance Cade.

1513.03.2023Conquistador3710.0Trevor Murdoch hits a personal spot that almost no other wrestler post 1989 has. Trevor Murdoch feels like an 80's territory guy. I'm an 80's territory guy. Be thankful I never made it to NWA Powerrrr tapings, I would have been bellowing "Cmooon Trevorrrrr" from the bowels of my lungs to annoy you all. I really *REALLY* fkn love this guy. He's one of those guys where I don't care about his short comings; I love his look, style and story: it all feels soo 1983-85. I will be eternally grateful for this time machine of a wrestler. *starts bellowing in approval*

1718.11.2022crs2857.0Trevor Murdoch deserves an award for his improvement from his days in WWE and TNA (do not get me started on the Dupp Cup stupidity). Now in the modern era he is a top throwback character and a main eventer in the NWA. He is the example of WWE not being the defining part of the career. Murdoch is in his prime and I look forward to watching where he goes from here.

2326.07.2022WrestlingStats16.0Assets: Is built like an old school hoss. Demonstrated the ability to be a tag team champion at the highest level. Has finally managed to get the opportunity to main event at the league level (and is doing a decent job of doing so.) - - - Flaws: Isn't built like a modern wrestler (or even a wrestler from the Rock N Wrestling Era), which delayed his rise to the main event. Certainly better suited for more traditional promotions rather than modern promotions or those focused on sports entertainment. May prove to be a "wrestler's wrestler" rather than someone admired by the modern crowd. - - - Career Potential: Admirable minor league main eventer or satisfactory major league tag specialist.

3208.01.2022Die hard fan7.0He came in the wrong era for sure because he hardly fit in the modern wrestling days but the truth is Trevor murdoch is a good worker and capable tag specialist and resembles the NWA lineage of the champions very well.
3315.12.2021Cakeboyo8.0Trevor is a workhorse. Plain and simple. He worked his ass off to get to this spot in his career, where most people his age can't really do much. He has proven, not only can he still go, not only is he getting better, but that he is a force to be reckoned with. Can't wait to see what legacy Trevor Murdoch shows in the future!

3616.11.2021killowenskill8.0A talented dude. He may look bad outwardly, he mayn't be as mobile at 41 as he would like, but he easily makes up for all the shortcomings with his work, sometimes smart, and sometimes brutal, and the natural charisma of a simple man who just wants to be at the top at least once. I'm glad he got what he deserved. It's sad that 99% of those who gave him a low rating will never reconsider their opinion.

3921.09.2021theJAww8.0The 5.67 rating for this guy is criminal. I can't imagine anyone calling this dude untalented or boring have ever actually watched classic NWA, or else they'd be saying the same thing about the top guys back then. Silliness. Murdoch is a great wrestler, and there is a place in the current wrestling landscape for an old school brawler like this. He was always the bright spot in his WWE tag matches and now that he's finally getting the spotlight he deserves it's worth it to acknowledge that the dude can wrestle with the best of them.

4306.09.2021WrestlingExpress8.0Trevor Murdoch is a good worker. Murdoch able to make do with what he was given and has become a throwback brawler and tag team specialist. His promos are generally on point and have an old-school feel to them.

4503.09.2021krukster7.0Love Trevor Murdoch, old school Dick Murdock / Harley Race type wrestler. Completely misused in the WWE, and glad to see him now as the NWA champion. You do not need to look like a bodybuilder to be a good wrestler.
4630.08.2021Makoto927.0
4726.08.2021CognacConversation5.0He can still put on a good match but is an abysmal shape and won't draw anyone to NWA (forget casuals, not even hardcore fans want to see him) in 2021. I like NWA but it's pretty farcical that a midcard tag team wrestler from the 2000s is getting booked as a main contender for the world title. This isn't any way to build a product that's trying to recover after the pandemic put them on hold. Murdoch could've built his stock up with more time in Japan than he did. He returned to wrestling for a company that desperately needs to attract some better names back.

5111.03.2021KyleEnjoysWrestling6.0A very unique look & a good, old school vibe. I think he shined brightest as a tag team alongside Cade. Never quite got to the next level as a single, but still had enough intrigue to keep me entertained any time I would see him.

5526.12.2020Old ride long line5.0I love me a Harley race throw back and with better booking he could have been a solid upper card guy and a believable administer of Pain. Sadly I can? t think of to many memorable moments other than his tag team with Cade. I think this kind of gimmick could work in today? s day and age and I? d love to see wwe give somebody a real shot to pull it off.
5617.10.2020qaywsxed6.0
5711.10.202001mr017.0Solid old school worker with a nice throwback gimmick. Good sort of guy for the NWA and maybe a lower to midcard in a larger promotion.
5805.03.2020Shoot Headbutt Lover7.0
5914.01.2020BenDenV65.0Murdock is a solid wrestler but lacks wow factor in every conceivable way. Not menacing enough to be a convincing heel but not interesting or charismatic enough to be a compelling babyface. Above average in the ring considering his size and a moveset that is a good combination of "old school" and modern. Takes tough bumps and good seller.

6325.11.2018DanTalksRasslin6.0With a very old-school ring style, look and gimmick, Trevor Murdoch perhaps came 20 or 30 years too late to become a major singles star in WWE, looking more like a throwback to the territory days. He was a good brawler who could occasionally surprise with how agile he really was (being capable of performing a Canadian Destroyer, for instance), and his tag team with Lance Cade was a good act with solid in-ring work.
6412.10.2018RatingsMachine6.0Trevor Murdoch was very underrated, falling victim to being given a gimmick that overshadowed his talent. Murdoch was solid in everything he did, and would have been great midcard talent.
6523.05.2018Oliver95x4.0
6608.01.2018TheLoudMouth6.0Ein absolut unkonventioneller Worker.
6724.07.2017HC76.0
6823.12.2016forkboy7.0Had a really fun run as a tag wrestler with Lance Cade, a good aura of a redneck brawler and his version of the Canadian Destroyer was perfectly absurd

7528.05.2016Mizzle Assault Ant8.0An atypical performer in terms of presentation and physique, yet I actually quite enjoyed Murdoch for most of his run. A good tag wrestler and a good brawler, and stands out as a character as well.
7625.12.2015WrestleArts6.0
7728.11.2015jchiofal6.0Roscoe Jackson/Trevor Murdoch is a great wrestler who wasn't given much of a chance whatsoever. With a larger frame and a brawling style you wouldn't expect him to move well, but he is surprisingly agile, and his aerial maneuvers are quite crisp and clean (far better than the aerial abilities of many who are half his size).
7813.10.2015Crippler Crossface6.0
7919.06.2015PWC2.0All I remember of this guy was WWE attempting a singing gimmick with him back in 2007 and he would (legitimately) smack tobacco while making his way to the ring. Gross, gross, gross.

9010.08.2011Giantswing9.0Hat im Indybereich gezeigt das er unglaublich gut im Ring ist. Hier gnadenlos unterschätzt.
9112.06.2011jjchiofalo10.0While I love Lance Cade, I personally prefer Murdoch. She was and still is agile and a great brawler. In Japan, he is showing how great he is and can be. He is quite agile, and you honestly wouldn't expect it with his larger frame. In Japan, he is performing diving maneuvers with such agility and gracefulness that I rarely have seen from a man with such a frame.
