[0.0] "man I feel bad for Mike shaw, like whoever decided this gimmick as a punishment should seriously be kicked out of wrestling, now that we have the sympathy out the way. this is the worst gimmick I've ever seen, I mean I cant even watch a full match of his without gagging, he's a fat dude in one of the most disgusting pieces of attire that no matter how much you could possibly clean it still looks like garbage, and his finisher, oh my God his finisher, I mean it works, a fat slob sitting on your upper chest full force would make anyone quit, like god, he looks like the boss baby if he was a fat slob, also, he's a fat slob, I don't know how much I need to say it, a fat slab in a horrible outfit who basically sits on your face, please never make something like this again WWE."

[0.0] "his gimmick is terrible and disgusting too the fact that he looked like a monster heel impressed me, but seeing him in that goofy-ass, weasel knuckled diaper sitting on bodies in matches, it made me dislike him. YOU'RE NOT YOKOZUNA, RIKISHI OR MABEL. GET OUT!"

[5.0] "Really wasn't that bad of a character. You can tell by the amount of different stuff Vince made him do that he's a good person to have on the roster. Not a fantastic move set or selling ability but guy shows up and did his best for the size that he is."

[2.0] "Obviously terrible and risible gimmick, even for the mid 90s WWE era. His matches with Virgil are the antithesis of a classic series. One bright note, if it can be considered as such. One summer holiday day whilst bored witless I decided to entertain myself by eating a yogurt inspired by Bastion Booger. Namely half eating it, half wearing it. For this I was branded a cretin, evicted from the kitchen and strictly prohibited from wasting any of the remaining yogurts in the fridge. So for about three minutes of childhood self amusement many years ago, a generous 2."

[2.0] "Honestly could not get a good gimmick. Bastion Booger, Friar Ferguson, Norman the Lunatic, and Man Mountain Mike were all terrible in my opinion. His in ring work in WWE and WCW was not good. Overall not an enjoyable watch for me."

[0.0] "Bastion Booger is one of the worst gimmicks WWF ever made, one of the most disgusting ones made during an era full of bad gimmicks, also one of the worst finishers of all time. I feel sorry for the guy behind the gimmick, sucks to be known as Bastion Booger."

[5.0] "Total Rewrite Edit. Decided to go the math route because I think it will give him a better rating. Makhan Singh was solid & credible The gimmick worked & he did exceptional in the role, both bell to bell & the mic work (7.75). Norman The Lunatic was far better than most remember & the face turn was well done. He showed his versality as a heel & face, showed character depth. His comfort behind the mic & his crowd control was commendable. Displayed chemistry with Brian Pillman & proved to be excellent in tag teams. His feud with Kevin Sullivan was fun! (8.25). Then Vince McMahon RUINED his career. The Bastion Booger gimmick is one of the worst & says more about Junior that it ever did about Mike Shaw (0) . The final score is 5.33 rounded down, so yah - he gained a whole point."

[5.0] "Silly (though entertaining) gimmick aside, Mike Shaw moved really well for a man his size, with all the limitations that entails. He looked like a cannonball flinging around the ring. The gimmick was what it was, but it was intended to shock/gross people out and it served that purpose."

[7.0] "Great worker in Stampede and in Wcw. Moved well for a big guy. To bad most people remember him for his work as Bastion Booger. I suggest people watch some of his stampede works. That will give them new insight in how good he really was.Even did some work in Mexico. Good example of how one gimmick is what you are remembered for. Would be a good hand in any territory. Could have been the champ in any regional territory. But no more then midcard in wcw or wwf. Was nice to see a big guy using someting different then the Big splash as a finisher."

[0.0] "Disgusting to see in ring, like he was a big baby, covered in sweat and poop, in ring he was horrendous, no doubt and I have nothing for a big baby that looks like he has a fill diaper, everytime I see him on the shows, with those broken teeth and body hair and fat, I just skip his match. 0/10"

[4.0] "I get it he was supposed to be a comedy gimmick wrestler but damn his theme song is one of the worse i've heard during his time only one that i can think of thats worse is T.L. Hopper his finisher is really lame to which is a buttdrop pin i'll give him credit where credit is due because he played his character really well making WWF fans disgusted at him."

[5.0] "A HELL of a worker for a big man. Huge shame he's got the WWF gimmick stink on him because as a result his work is way underappreciated. He did some decent stuff in WCW, especially in the beginning, and in Stampede he was genuinely great as Makhan Singh."

[4.0] "credit where credit is due, Mike shaw went the extra mile look wise to either look like a drunk monk, a loose cannon or a fat slob, going so far as to have the typical monk haircut on friar or being completely bald and having seemingly rotten teeth with bastion booger unfortunately all of these gimmicks were completely ridiculous, eliminating any chance of him being taken seriously as a worker, he definitely wasn't the worst on the ring but being forced to play such stupid characters definitely hindered his in ring skills"

[5.0] "If you only ever saw Bastion Booger in WWF, then his average rating probably makes sense. If you saw him as the Norman the Lunatic in WCW, then that rating seems a little bit harsh. If you ever saw him in Stampede as Makhan Singh - as I have - then it feels downright criminal. Taking all that into consideration, Im going to with a 5 here. When he was younger, he could be a bit better than that, but those last years did get pretty rough."

[6.0] "Mike Shaw is way too underrated here. He was known for being a great heel and solid worker in Canada as "Makhan Singh", where he had feuds with Bret Hart, Owen Hart and many other future stars. In WCW his character "Norman the Lunatic" was pretty over, specially with younger fans. But he will always be remembered for his WWE run. Vince McMahon give him some over the top, goofy gimmicks, Friar Ferguson and then Bastion Booger. I always thought he was very entertaining and funny as Booger. He didn't get over but he was good in promos and was a good comedy wrestler."

"Bastion Booger was, simply put, gross. There is no reason to put someone of this man's build in the ring with other dudes on steroids. It's is just very unbelievable that he could ever do any actual damage to anyone."

I wish he lived longer, but well, I liked the attitude of Bastion Booger, and his theme song was also so amazing, showing his comedian side of Bastion Booger. I didn't saw his other gimmicks so I rate by Bastion Booger one"

[2.0] "Bastion Booger is such a nasty gimmick, in my watch of 1993 WWF I saw plenty of Bastion Booger matches and they all stunk. I guess I'll give him 2 points for the Monk gimmick which was really stupid in the best possible way and pissed off some Christians, which is more heat than the Bastion Booger gimmick ever got besides just that's nasty heat. Perhaps someday I'll watch his stampede run and adjust my rating accordingly, but from what I saw in the Fed I don't have high hopes."

[2.0] "This guy had a string of gimmicks that were far worse than what Brutus Beefcake was offered! Also, had one of the grossest finishers in wrestling by basically tea bagging his opponents. Yack!"

[3.0] "Poor guy, Bastion Booger was horrible but everyone said that he was a good and professional guy and that's sad that everyone will remember him in his worst part of his life"

[6.0] "Bastion Booger was good as Makhan Singh. After taking the gimmick of Bastion Booger he was a jobber to the stars but still wasn't very weak as he held victory over owen hart, appeared on pay per view and even went the distance against some decent opponents"

[4.0] "Mike Shaw was a fairly decent big-man wrestler and had a solid run in Stampede Wrestling under the Makhan Singh moniker, as part of the influential Karachi Vice stable. In the major promotions he just couldn't seem to catch a break, though, being saddled with gimmicks that seemed to get progressively worse - from his WCW run as Norman, a mental patient who inexplicably later became a trucker, to the WWF, where he initially debuted as Friar Ferguson, a puzzling character of an evil, dancing monk, and then - most infamously - became Bastion Booger, whose gimmick was simply that he was disgusting (even his entrance theme consisted primarily of various belches and snorts). Really an unfortunate waste of a guy who wasn't that bad a performer."

[6.0] "This guy was a great worker and an all around nice guy. It's a shame how poorly he was treated in the business."

[5.0] "He wasnt as bad in the ring as his rating suggests. He might of had some shocking gimmicks in wwe and wcw but when he was in the ring he wasnt to bad for a big guy"

[4.0] "I guess he was fine in Stampede Wrestling, but to be honest Stu Hart's promotion was never my cup of tea as it seemed to be one or two good matches featuring the likes of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman and Hiroshi Hase and a whole lot of matches featuring at best filler and at worst complete boredom. Makhan Singh was invariably part of the latter. Not really his fault as he filled the role big men like him had long filled in the territories, but not exactly exciting stuff either. Then WCW came calling, and hopefully wrote him a big enough cheque because Norman The Lunatic was really a cringeworthy gimmick who mostly feuded with have-been's like Tommy Rich and never-were's like Zan Panzer. If you want to know how much Mick Foley loves wrestling, well, the poor guy lost to Norman the Lunatic so many times I lost count at six. After WCW came a horrible stint in CMLL as Aaron Grundy. Again, not really his fault because he was mostly stuck against horrible workers like Vampiro and Brazo de Plata, but the bad stuff was starting to pile up and went off the scale after he finally joined the WWF as Bastion Booger. After that Makhan Singh wisely started to wind down his career: one can only imagine what horrible matches and terrible gimmicks awaited him had he returned to WCW or joined another major promotion."

[2.0] "No good in the ring. He was only good in Stampede as Makhan Singh The gimmicks he had were horrible! Nothing exciting about this guy."

[5.0] "This poor guy had bad character after bad character imposed on him. He never had a chance to shine as a credible wrestler, but he swallowed his pride so often to get a decent paycheck that you have to admire his resilience and tenacity."

[9.0] "That Makhan Singh ranked this low surprised me, if I were to be honest. The WWE squashed this guy and turned him into a running joke. Shaw likely cooperated and did play the Booger and Friar gimmicks about as well as anyone could play the type of nonsense we are talking about. The facts are that as head of the heel faction Karachi Vice people PACKED arenas to watch him get beat by guys like Bad News Allen and Owen Hart. He was a fantastic agitator, and could rile a crowd into a frenzy at will with a mic. The NWO was a copy of a lot of the antics of the Karachi Vice, including the match run in with several guys on one. It was visionary faction development. The Great Gama, Bruce Hart, and Makhan Singh knew how to book the big man and he was a talent in the ring, and as I said, he drew as well as any territory heel wrestler of the day at that time. His low rating speaks to the fans that never quite got past his most famous and worst gimmick. He also was a colossal fail as Klondike Mike (face) in his early years. When booked properly, Sigh was a true heel draw. Otherwise, he simply was not."

[1.0] "Before WWF when he was know as Mike Shaw he wasnt half bad. But in WWF he had multiple gimmick changes and they were horrible. Not only were they stupid but the Bastion Booger gimmick was disgusting. I cant remember who said it but someone said on commentary, "he uses his nose as a snack machine". Overall the only thing I can say is R. I. P."

[10.0] "Bastion Booger could very well be the best wrestler to ever have lived. His gimmick was the best in the WWE and he could act the part brilliantly. As well as that, he brought an immense weight to the ring despite only being 6'0 but he put it to good use with powerful slams and running charges. 10/10"
