611.12.2023greaterdale10.0Kind of dumb that Chyna's rating is so low here. She was the top women's star in the hottest period in pro wrestling history and honestly just one of the top stars in general. She was consideredfor the WWE Championship and even was for the IWGP heavyweight champion and if it wasn't for some sexist asshole convincing NJPW not to do it she would have been champ there too. Also she is a former Intercontinental champion and the first women to enter a royal rumble. And like in the modern era where tons of wrestlers have only fans how can you hold Chyna doing porn against her.
709.12.2023humanserpent7.0
829.11.2023Bar78678810.0Im not surprised by Chynas rating, as she was always controversial. Some of her matches were disappointing (mostly talking about the one with Jericho). But I honestly think, after seeing her match against Chono in Japan, that that had more to do with an opponent who thought they were being buried by looking equal to a woman. Because when you look at Chynas career as a whole package, it was a thing of beauty and a spectacle that we will never experience again. The attitude era, the most impactful period of WWF, can be defined by eight people - Stone Cold, The Rock, Mr. McMahon, Mick Foley, Undertaker, Triple H, Kane, and Chyna. Her initial role as DXs bodyguard was revolutionary and her presence guided professional wrestling into a more diverse and overall dynamic environment. I thought that her gradual face turn was played perfectly and when she started to win matches and dissent between her and HHH began to emerge, she was a potential world champion or at least a contender. She had a quiet menacing charisma that revealed gentler and more feminine nodes later as she became Eddies mamacita and the first and only female Intercontinental champion, and she was much more capable and athletic than many would have you believe. She challenged femininity and masculinity in a way no other individual in professional wrestling ever has and her brief stint in Japan proved how good she really was. Chyna is one of the most memorable and important wrestlers of all time and thats why shes a 10.
920.11.2023JediSaiyanMaster12035.0Chyna is a true mixed bag for me. While I do admire her accomplishments and have a ton of respect for her as a feminist icon and paving the way for countless women wrestlers who came after her and were inspired by her. On the other hand, she was never a good wrestler and was booked overly strong in the women's division and any form of excitement was gone since you could tell she was clearly meant to have matches with the men, so a 5 is where I'm gonna land on. R.I.P. Chyna
1120.10.2023wwetitlefan210.0Honestly really shocked to see Chyna rated so low. She was a trailblazer and huge inspiration for a lot of today's women's wrestlers. A lot of women wrestlers even credit for being their motivation for getting into wrestling. She was the only woman hold the Intercontinental championship and the first to compete in the Royal Rumble. She got people behind her, had great charisma, and could go in the ring. The fact that she doesn't have her own solo spot in the WWE Hall of Fame yet in a crime in and of itself.

1312.10.2023Akatsuki9.0Wow, kind of surprised to see Chyna' rating so low, pretty disrespectful. One of the most important & successful women in WWE history who was able to regularly face not just the opposing women but also the men. There was clearly no other woman that legitimately looked like they could kick your butt more than her so having her be associated with DX made them even more badass. It would have been interesting to see what she would have done if she had more time in the WWE. Also, I loved how she made history with randomly being in the Royal Rumble twice. RIP Chyna.

1502.09.2023tmxicon3.0Its true that Chyna was a trailblazer. She has many firsts as a woman in WWE. Even New Japan felt she was unique enough to give a short run. None of this takes away the fact that she wasnt that good in the ring. Kind of sloppy and clearly in over her head with her intergender matches. Its a shame to see how far she fell both professionally and personally.
1628.08.2023FrajagatorJr10.0I think many people misunderstood her as a competitor, first of all let's talk about her contributions and impact for the wrestling industry, she was one of the most popular wrestlers in the late 90's and the beginning of the 00's, she was really relevant not just for WWF but also in the main pop culture and stablished herself as one of the jewels that WWF had to offer, she was a great talker, not the best for sure but she knew how to cut a promo, she had an impecable look and knew how to play it for her current gimmick, her in ring skills are usually questioned by many fans but I've seen some footage of her work as Joanie Lee (pre WWF) and as Joanie Laurer (post WWE) and she really knew what to do in the ring, she was more than just a powerhouse, she was really quick sometimes and technical as well, she had great matches in and out WWE, her NJPW run it's really underrated and in my opinion is there where she truly showed how much she was capable of in terms of in ring ability.
1721.08.2023Retro Ricky8.0Tremendously influential, so much so that if not for her limitations she would probably rate a 9. Chyna had a fantastic look and her poise and charisma were excellent. Comfortable enough on the mic though she often seemed disinterested. Similarly, she had a tendency to be lazy in the ring. Even when motivated, her selling was patchy, marked by a tendency to die rather than show fire. Chyna's power spots with smaller opponents were impressive enough (especially at the time). Her strikes were poor by today's standards, maybe average for a WWF woman in the 90s/00s. Some of this is on the trainers, but there were also signs that Chyna was not particularly receptive to learning from more experienced talents (most notably Ivory). With all of her weaknesses noted, she was over enough to spawn many imitators and deserves a prominent place in the history of wrestling.
1821.08.2023allure111810.0She was great in so many ways. I dont even think she was a bad wrestler she was pretty decent. She was also a great manager. She made a large impact in the world of professional wrestling that nobody can deny. Shes done things that have never been done before by a female such as holding the intercontinental championship 3x and entering the royal rumble match twice. She was a very important member of DX and Im honestly very surprised by the overall rating here. She was a one of a kind. May she RIP.
1918.08.2023MattHall9.0She was very unique for her era. Especially when someone breaks boundaries in wrestling. First female to enter the Royal Rumble, First female IC champion. Was Triple H's bodyguard, and helped paved the way for women in wrestling. Chyna had a good enough look and was extremely agile in the ring for a woman her size. Her love storyline with Eddie Guerrero was awesome.

2203.06.2023MasteroftheMatchGuide998.0She was very good, as we all predicted, but sometimes, her behavior and insistence on wrestling men bothered me a bit because she was without a doubt a physical specimen of God-like proportions, but at the same time, it made it seem like she had almost zero competition because of that aspect. She was a good wrestler and was an entertaining character, but there were just some things that didn't sit right with me. Like I said about Brakkus before, nothing is involved in my rating concerning the person, but just the facets of their time as a performer.
2330.05.2023Kingerty10.0One of the greatest female wrestlers, she opened doors for women in the United States and Japan. It's a shame her personal problems got the best of her right as she was truly coming into her own. Sure you can say she wasn't the most technical in-ring, but she didn't grow up a wrestling fan and was discovered when she was still training with the Killer Kowalski. How much could she have done better when still learning to wrestle, which not many women post Fabulous Moolah in American Wrestling could do? Name one woman other then Chyna who stood across or worked with The Rock, Brett Hart, Mick Foley, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Chris Jericho, The Great Muta, Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker, Jushin Liger, Chono, Stone Cold, Lita, Trish Stratus, Ron Simmons, Mark Henry oh and of course Shawn Michaels and Triple H. There is only one, the Ninth Wonder Of The World, Chyna.
2425.05.2023Conquistador375.0Rarely does "stuff outside the ring" affect my ratings, however this poor soul let demons creep into her in ring work and things end on a very pitiful, lackluster, bordering "go away heat" note. Had a 10/10 look no matter what year, the cosmetic surgery in my estimation was not needed - but it got her in playboy, so there ya go. Chyna was one of the most compelling figures in pro wrestling in yeeaarrs. Her ring work was passable enough to usher in a whole new crop and generation of fans, however the ring work was also sometimes woeful enough to create a tidal wave of "haters" (stunning displays of strength/hideous looking forearm blows). The good in many ways was trailblazing and business changing, the bad is brazenly not good at all. As well all know: the mix of hot and cold results in lukewarm (which is still a fairly safe place to be). 5.25
2525.05.2023Giantfan19805.0Gets a bad rap 22 years on because of backstage politics and her twitchy personality and stress leading up to her career and life self destructing. Chyna was pretty over in that 1998-early 2001 period. After she left, she got overshadowed by Trish Stratus and Lita.

3407.02.2023GonzoAppreciator7.0I was never the biggest fan of Chyna as a wrestler but I can't deny that she was a fantastic manager for DX and a important part of wrestling history through her intergender matches in the WWF and NJPW. Her feud with Jericho was a highlight of the Attitude Era.

3720.01.2023benh24.0Excellent in her enforcer role when she first came onto the scene. Looked great and believable when throwing around men. That transitioned into her wrestling against men and that's where it fell apart; she wasn't good enough in the ring for it to work. She did begin to improve eventually but she was a victim of the times where women were showcased for little more than sex appeal. Might have been interesting in the current era.
3813.12.2022No One6.0
3902.12.2022MainEventMaster6.0Chyna was actually an ok wrestler, and right before she was released, she was getting better. But it is unfortunate what happened.
4006.11.2022ucey6.0
4126.10.2022Spanky2.0Chyna had an amazing look as Triple Hs manager but in terms of actually wrestling or promos, not good. I have read horror stories by guys like Jericho about how awful it was working with her. After also watching seeing some of her matches I have to say that WWF made a good decision by not giving her the match against Austin at Summerslam. While I respect what she did for wrestling if we? re being honest she was simply at the right place at the right time. The WWF could have easily found another strong women that could likely wrestle better. I feel horrible for how her life turned out but I can not pretend she was good.

5129.04.2022texasyosh6.0Chyna had a great mystique about her seeing how muscular she was, and the fact that she was a silent killer. She got over big at a time where women's wrestling in the WWF was not seen as important. She was pretty clunky in the ring but not as bad as she's made out to be. Unfortunately she was treated horribly by Shawn and Hunter and by the WWF as a whole.

5308.04.2022MorbidAxis4.0
5415.02.2022OnlyHalfTheEffinShow8.0A trailblazer if ever there was one. When the rest of the women of the Attitude Era were unfortunately stuck wrestling bra and panties matches and being valets, Chyna was contending for the WWF World Championship. The sheer spectacle of her if you ask me offsets some of the shortcomings she may have had as a worker. Chyna was one of a kind, and we shall never see her like again.

5719.12.2021EleceRock10.0Although is certain that even during the time period Chyna was active there were already much better womens wrestlers in Japan, the fact that she managed to be respected, have serious an usually good matches during a time were wrestling in USA didn't take womens wrestling seriously, makes her a deserving 10 for me.

6327.07.2021Tomato4.0
6406.07.2021juiceisloose4.0Chyna wasn't a good worker, she just happened to work with good workers who made her look like a decent wrestler. Of course she broke some barriers in the business but that doesn't mean she was a good wrestler or a good talker in general. She often cut bad promos (her voice was very annoying too so that didn't help either) and her male opponents did most of the work in the ring so that she could look good and they could have a decent match. I liked the strong character she portrayed and her confident look but unfortunately that is not enough. I feel like she could've improved but since she didn't have to do most of the work, she probably never felt the need to better her work. Her best work was probably with Eddie Guerrero and this is just because Eddie was involved in it.

6620.06.2021Daigotsu7.0Chyna wasn't the best wrestler or promo, but there's no question that she broke new ground in in the wrestling industry.

7217.04.2021AnB7.0Torn on whether I oughta rate this for what she meant for the industry or her abilities. There's no doubt she was a trailblazer, but her promos and in-ring ability were somewhat lacking.

7621.02.2021Moomoomiltank9.0I can't believe she is rated this low. She is a literal pioneer for women. She held her own with men, and kicked a lot of their asses. Seeing Chyna wrestle a man was normal for her. And that's why she deserves more recognition. If it wasn't for women like Chyna there would be no women's division. Chyna was a true trail blazer, and broke down more barriers than arguably any women in WWE ever.

8413.09.2020Dalesdeadbug7.0I registered solely to point out how ignorant of a comment the jabroni before me posted. To rate Chyna a 0 and say Miss Elizabeth was more of a trailblazer for women than Chyna, needs to stop trying to be that dumbfuck Meltzer. While she wasn't athletic like Lita or a technician like Charlotte to say she couldn't perform is absolutely stupid. Chinas size alone made her the most intimidating woman to ever grace a WWE ring. Her power made her believable and I'm sure Mr. Sauaredstupid was too busy pounding his pud to Trish Stratus to realize it.

9130.04.2020qbort8.0Chyna was a trailblazer. She was always the odd woman out, even in the video games she was among the guys in the roster select screen, while the other women were in the diva section. And she was good for the short time she was in.
9219.04.2020jchiofal9.0This rating is for her importance in the wrestling industry. Chyna will never be considered a technical wizard. She will never be called great in the ring. That being said, there was no one like her. Nobody (aside from Jacquelin in the US) could stand up to men as legimately. She had matches that at best were decent, but she had a presence that few had

Asuka, Ember, Trish, etc. ) have been booked to fall to the figure eight, but if Chyna were still alive, she would be the one making Charlotte tap.
9802.08.2019draven4.0
9927.07.2019KyleEnjoysWrestling9.0An amazing force in her early years with the company. No one quite like Chyna had been seen in WWE prior & they used her expertly. Obviously her later years were a train wreck of epic proportions, but she should be remembered for her early work. She was one of the biggest stars in the company for a while regardless of gender & really got Triple H over in a big way.
10005.06.2019ErycK248.0The most groundbreaking woman in wrestling history, she wasn? t great in the ring but she was good enough to be apart of some solid matches with females and men.
