[2.0] "There's nothing more representative of Lucha Underground's downfall then pushing this guy, of all people, as a serious threat to Pentagon Jr. /Pentagon Dark's title reign in their last season. Martin Casaus/Marty Martinez is a below average performer with a basic moveset - he does actually very little in the ring and what he can do doesn't look all that good. He actually can play the "big guy" gimmick somewhat convincingly enough to be a glorified jobber, but booking him as anything more than that is already a stretch, as his weakenesses as a wrestler soon become apparent. What Matin really excells at, though, is playing his gimmicks: even though LU made him part of some of the most forced (and dumbest) angles they could come with, Martin actually worked very well as a creepy, disturbed and obsessed guy. After LU folded, Martin seems to have wrestled only a few times a year, but has found success on other venues, such as acting, playing video-games on Twitch and such."

[7.0] "Came a really long way over the corse of Lucha Underground to make his character one of the most special things on the show. I'm surprised that he has effectively fallen off the face of the planet since then, especially with the indie wrestling boom."

[7.0] "He's an "ok" wrestler, but where Marty Martinez really shines is him playing his creepy Lucha underground gimmick. I enjoy his fcial expressions, voice modulation, moveset. Overall good worker."

[4.0] "This guy is a fine even good wrestler at times, but if he wants to star in a wrestling promotion that emphasises soap-opera entertainment then he shall be judged as such, and damn if this guy isn't the Lucha Underground version of Bray Wyatt. Totally forced, melodramatic, and cringeworthy in his "creepy" persona. Like Wyatt he also makes his acting come off as incredibly pretentious, as if he thinks his character is just fantastically written and he is a master of capturing the audience's attention and shocking them with how scary and unnerving his performances are. Instead he just comes off like a total geek. His character's psychopathy just comes off as totally ill-fitting for every match or storyline he's involved in. I want to fast-forward through every speaking segment this guy gets, and he often manages to ruin his actual wrestling because of his insufferable character work."
