[9.0] "This rating fits because Melissa is the perfect example of someone who's nine-tenths of the way there. She has size and strength, but is still a beauty. She can mat wrestle, she can fly, she can use weapons, she can build angles, she's good with the fans... the only thing she can't do is cut a great promo. With that one exception she's the total package of what a woman wrestler can and should be. For the indy promotion SHIMMER, which is where I saw the most of her, she became the heart and soul of the organization."

[7.0] "A jack-of-all-trades female wrestler that had everything going her lately aside from character development. She just never grasped on something worthwhile for her to make to the big scene and seriously lacked a "larger than life" persona to make it as her -- Raisha Saeed character, obviously had zero leverage in the long run. Great as hell at selling and taking bumps and was very giving in the ring with a lot of inexperienced girls. If she had some extra fire to her, she definitely would have made it in the big scene but, alas she's a highlight worth noting in the women's independent circuit."

"My Rating 8.9 First I have to say that I haven't seen her latest matches that are dated in 2024. When Cheerleader Melissa was actively competing she brought the female wrestler in the indies to the next level. Melissa has the skill to bring the best out of her opponent any day of the week."

[8.0] "Cheerleader Melissa is often talked about in tandem with the likes of Sara Del Rey, LuFisto and Mercedes Martinez. The four of them are credited as pioneers who helped raise the bar for American women's wrestling on the independent scene. It is a crying shame that Melissa hasn't found success on a televised wrestling product. Incredible wrestler all-round. She was wasted in Impact despite being signed during a really strong period for the Knockouts division and Lucha Underground is seemingly done for now. I think she'd be awesome in AEW either competing or even serving as a trainer for the women. Her body of work in SHIMMER over the years (as one of its OGs) is really worth your time."

[9.0] "Melissa is a truly top-notch wrestler who never really got her due. I've mostly seen her work as Alissa Flash in TNA, where I was always frustrated the company didn't push her or do more with her. She always put on good matches there, and from what I've seen of her work elsewhere, she's delivered excellent in-ring performances throughout her career."

[10.0] "Very great and underrated wrestler, I like her aggressive style in wrestling as she makes every move she does looks legit, and she has the skills of modifying and creating new moves and submissions, she's definitely one of the top 5 female wrestlers in the USA in my opinion"

[9.0] "Vastly underrated as she never made a big splash in a top company. Even when she was in TNA during their heyday, she was not thought about because she was hiding in plain sight as Raisha Saeed (a character that I really enjoyed, by the way). Mariposa in Lucha Underground was excellent & let Melissa explore a new character. During the time that WWE was intent on only hiring out of modeling catalogues, Melissa was breaking walls down & having great matches. Versatile & talented. At 36, I have to imagine she is mostly retired now, but AEW would be foolish if they were not looking at her to potentially work as an agent for the ladies."

[10.0] "Melissa has done it all. Look at her "Also Known As... " list and you'll see so many characters that are all different yet she pulls each and everyone off. I mean, look at who trained her, how could she NOT be one of the best female wrestlers of our time? She has even mastered intergender wrestling (which I am not a fan of to begin with but alas) and has shined in all promotions she has been a part of."

[10.0] "Melissa is one of the greatest womens wrestlers of her generation from the United States second only to Sara Del Rey. She was and still is a major part of the Shimmer promotion have held the title on two occasions for long runs. Melissa currently works for Lucha Underground as Mariposa a great character on the show and although she has started to slow down a bit she is to women's indy wrestling as to what Daniel Bryan was to men]s wrestling. Hopefully one day Melissa will be given a job in WWE alongside her former rival Del Rey(Amato) as a trainer for the women in WWE."

[10.0] "Cheerleader Melissa is one of the best indy wrestlers in the world. No Bull, no lie. The most underrated athlete this sport has ever seen. I don't see why most people don't get the hype of Melissa, but she has given her night in and night out. I've seen a bunch of her matches and I'm sorry to all those who don't like her that much I've been impressed with her line of work. To say that she is overrated is just too low in my opinion. She is underrated and does everything she can to put on the best match possible. I think she will go down as one of the best women's wrestlers in this generation, because she is the “Future Legend” and she deserves legendary status once she's done in the ring."

Titansrevenger wrote on 25.12.2015:
[8.0] "Melissa is fundamentally sound and a great ring technician. However she is bland and doesn't have much in the way of ring psychology or a real personality. She is great for Shimmer but has not found much success elsewhere . What does that say?"
La Trina wrote on 12.11.2015:
[9.0] "A respected indy veteran, Cheerleader Melissa, as she's commonly known, is a very skilled grappler inside the ring. She might lack a little bit of something though, as she's failed to connect with a larger audience numerous times. Still, one of the better women's wrestlers out there, that you can always count on for giving you a great match."
