127.07.2025ewcraleigh3.0It was his entrance to the WWF that started making me doubt how authentic wrestling really was. The character was a buffoon. The "Birman" character had no place being in a business based on fighting. It was silly and ridiculous. His promos were annoying as well mainly due to the annoying tone of his voice. Even his moves in the ring were often unprofessional and often failed. Then, he'd pass it off with that annoying bird move he'd do with his arms. The only reason I don't rate him a 1 is because he did move in the ring.

1414.04.2024Pigeon Scratch7.0Many people question as to why he is in the hall of fame, since he wasn't ever really a top guy and to people outside of the Golden Era don't really see him and think one of the greats. The thing is though, if you actually look him up, he was honestly pretty good, just was working during a time where someone like him didn't really belong in terms of his style of wrestling (gimmick wise oh he definitely fit). Charisma wise he was fucking excellent, he was a good worker, and most importantly, Frankie is one of the best birds in professional wrestling. But I think what got him in the hall of fame is Piledriver. Dude, he's quite literally the highlight of The Wrestling Album II, because he sang his fucking heart out.
1511.03.2024Conquistador378.0*sings in a gravely soulful tone* "OoAoAoH YeAeAeaH! " Koko B Ware was a joy in the 80's when a babyface. Be he part of the Pretty Young Thangs with Norvell Austin (who was the polar opposite of "pretty") or the WWF's crooning & colorful "Birdman". As a heel he had little to no credibility and was never underhanded enough to be conceived as a threat. Dynamite in the ring and chemistry with plenty. Behind the mic, few were as comfortable as Koko. I enjoyed his pairing with Owen Hart, be it "Blue Blazer" era or High Energy. I don't think I like much of what he did in Memphis though. Awesome dropkick, watch his UWF material and be wowed. Gonna circle back to the PYT's, who did great in Mid South, but only so-so in World Class. Under rated because he was slipped into Vince's Hall of Fame and many feel he didn't deserve it (it's VINCE'S Hall of Fame, not mine nor yours). Quite watchable, except when a heel as he's too innoxious. Also, the High Energy era look was deeply regrettable. EDIT: The more I watch, the more I appreciate. His Brainbuster was/is top tier. His Missile Dropkick could be devastating. As noted, he had chemistry with many such as Rick Rude, Don Muraco, The One Man Gang/Akeem and super heavyweights in general. Looked fantastic in blue & yellow but I simply appreciate his commitment overall to a colorful character. Underrated like all kinds of heck and I could keep singing praises about his babyface work...( like the fact that he didn't phone it in at house shows) 7.75

1731.01.2024cioran9.0Great worker, good talker, great look with amazing haircut, lots of bright colors, and had a parrot. He was basically the first time you did drugs as a professional wrestler. Sadly his parrot Frankie, who should also be in the HoF (they put the Bellas in IDK why they can't put in a parrot), passed on in a house fire in 2001 :'(

1917.10.2023celticinvader7.0High tier jobber. Made the mistake of being a high flyer in the steroid era so was underbooked, but it made him stick out in matches against people like The Big Bossman. Lots of fun to watch in the ring, and comfortably slotted into various tag teams.

2418.08.2023MattHall7.0Had some nice athletic spots in the ring, and had an amazing dropkick. I don't believe that he was Hall Of Fame noteworthy, but he wasn't terrible either. It was sad when Frankie passed away in a fire back in 2001. Had good charisma, never heard his mic work, but severely lacked in height,

3323.10.2022crs2857.0Koko was never going to be a star but he got seriously over as a face. Decent in the ring and on the mic. His character work was what makes him memorable to this day.
3405.10.2022Giantfan19806.0Good high flyer but had the rotten luck of being in the WWF in the 80's where he was noticeably shorter than nearly everybody else and was JTTS. Still, his charisma and decent promo skills made him a fan favorite and you just had to cheer him on!
3528.08.2022sbg20226.0He was great in Memphis. But as is the case with any 80's talent that goes to the WWF from another promotion, they're relegated to the "WWF Machine" with an over-the-top and often cheesy gimmick. So, his gimmick as the "Bird Man" put a stamp on his career as a "gimmick" wrestler. Not taking away from his in-ring abilities.

4029.04.2022texasyosh6.0Pretty underrated. Most known for his time as a jobber in the WWF as Koko B. Ware, but before that he was a very solid wrestler and dependable in whatever role he needed to be in. Fantastic brainbuster.
4117.04.2022krukster6.0He was good, but not a Hall of Famer by any stretch. Matches were always solid and did have some pretty big during his time in the WWF. His Ghost Buster was an incredible finishing maneuver. Was a mid-carder that was believable. Could have been a above average tag team specialist, but was rarely used this way. (except intially with Owen Hart)

4817.03.2021Bad Jobber7.0you all know that even koko thinks he's in the hall of fame because mcmahon wanted to apologize for the controversial release, right. he does not deserve to be the measuring stick for HOFers. his rating is way too low, he deserves a 6 at least. the fact that he is 2 points below dolph ziggler is astounding. yall disrespecting him.
4923.01.2021Brett19804.0Always be remembered as a jobber with a parrot to me. Sometimes was okay but was involved in some pretty bad PPV matches.

5902.08.2019KyleEnjoysWrestling5.0I feel a little bad for Koko, as he's pretty much now the measuring stick used when talking about guys who are not Hall of Fame worthy. Koko had a good amount of charisma, but he was most known for having a bird with him. Had it not been for Frankie, I'm not sure anyone would remember Koko. That said, every company needs some job guys, so having one who kids like (even just because he has a pet with him) is a good thing.
6022.06.2019TheGoat5.0Reasonably entertaining guy who could pop the crowd a bit but overall, a rather mediocre talent. LImited by size in a big man's era WWF. Overall, I felt the 'Birdman' was probably better suited for a tag team role. Definitely not a hall of fame worthy talent.
6127.11.2018JEK 19916.0He is the Cat's Meow for entertaining fans since the 80's. Bringing in his macaw, Frankie was exciting. As a wrestler he was no that great and could only do two moves. What impressed me was his high flying moves. He was a pioneer at it. Also he was one of the first wrestlers to dance to their ring entrance music. Flapping like a bird. He was small back in the day were there were no crusierweights and became stocky to look big. Sad that Frankie died in a fire. Koko is remembered for his work in Tennessee, USWA and WWF. What I give him credit for is that he was a great jobber. He is still wrestling and entertaining fans.

6311.10.2018RatingsMachine6.0As a worker, Koko was fine if not outstanding. His size meant that his best success came before his WWF run, where he became little more than a glorified jobber.
6419.08.2018pappahouse6.0Ein laufender 1, 5 Meter. Sympatischer Kerl, hatte auch ein paar coole Moves. Auch wenn es das Team High Energy nur eine kurze Zeit lang gab, so sind es doch immer noch Helden meiner Kindheit.

6708.04.2017Blood Pump2.0Born in the wrong year for a man of his stature to be a wrestler. I reckon he'd have a better chance if he was a mid to late 90s guy but back in 80s, especially the early 80s, a man of his size was doomed to be nothing but a jobber novelty. I guess I should give him credit for being entertaining at least, but hes insanely forgettable.

6929.11.2016AriesMark7.0Koko B. Ware was an extremely underrated talent, however he was much better off as a tag team worker (like he was in the territories) than as a singles guy . His run as part of the Pretty Young Things with Norvell Austin was a work of art. He also had a decent run teaming with Bobby Eaton under the name Sweet Brown Sugar as well.

7722.06.2015DanTalksRasslin6.0The Birdman had a fun look and gimmick for an undercard WWF wrestler of the '80s, and had a solid speed- and aerial-based offense, which was enough to stand out from the powerhouses that filled the WWF's ranks during that time. He also had a pretty good tag team run with Owen Hart as High Energy in the early '90s, funny outfits aside. It's rather unfortunate that his Hall of Fame induction has become a measuring stick in a negative way - "if Koko can be in the Hall of Fame, why can't ____? " - because he was a good talent.

8107.08.2014Tmoney09258.0Extremely underrated and compltely under-utilized by the WWF. Go watch his matches with Ric Flair from the early 80's on Youtube and you'll see the wrestler he really is.

8402.03.2014Thundercracker235.0Koko was never anything special. But he was a serviceable hand who could win or loss, and the fans would cheer for him regardless. He did a fine job being a face of the WWF in music and commercials.
8530.11.2013ADouble5.0A solid jobber who could always get reaction with his athleticism and high-flying, but not really anything special. Hard to believe this guy is in the Hall of Fame when he never really did anything worth mentioning in his career.
8603.11.2013Daneras2.0Nicht mein Lieblingswrestler. Er ist für mich zu klein, zu rund, und seine Style machen ihn nicht zu einem typischen Wrestler. Ich habe seine Matches nicht wirklich viel mit verfolgt durch Desinteresse.
8722.09.2013Leone6.0Koko B Ware stood out among his peers as a wrestler with a lot of flair and colour, as well as a Parrot. He also had an excellent Brainbuster as a finisher. Other than that, I can't say too much about his work.
8822.07.2013Boris The Menace4.0Hi, he's in the Hall of Fame so he must be great, right? Not really.
