Jerry Sags

[5.0] "I always liked Jerry Sags more than Brian Knobbs. He was the better competitor in the Nasty Boys so he gets a point higher then Knobbs."

[6.0] "Like his tag partner he could play a character and was good in a brawler tag team. Didn't do much of note as a singles specialist. They had some good tag matches in WWE and WCW with good opponents but after that did nothing of note."

[6.0] "Sags was the more straight up, stand up, no non sense, no bullshit half of the nasty boys. He's also a tough son of a bitch. If he felt someone was messing with him or trying to take liberties with him, he'd kick their ass. I can speak personally to this, because I was there in person when he punched Scott Hall (RIP) in the face a couple of times, swelled his face, and knocked a few of his teeth out after he got a chair thrown at his head. Unfortunately, that's the incident that cut his career short, but never the less he was a great brawler in the ring, he did the hardcore stuff well on main stream tv before it really started becoming a thing, and his style meshed with any team he worked with."

[4.0] "I never got the hate for the Nasties. Sags played the role just fine of a brawling street punk. Their best days were 1990-1995. People were getting tired of them by 96 and many resent them these days."

[5.0] "The better half of The Nasty Boys. Started as a referee, then was enhancement talent for a moment; it seems like all I did was go to the bathroom then to lunch and he was with Brian Knobbs as "The Nasty Boys". Good team at their peak, Jerry is by far the better worker. Legitimately good timing, outside of the box brawler, strong grasp on pacing/ring psychology. Jerry also kept his body in check, he was always a mess but never let that mess spill out of control like Knobbs. Damn good (read: very rewatchable) stuff with The (Midnight) Rockers, The Steiner's and Booker T when the two shared the ring during Harlem Heat/Nasty Boys tag matches. More than one significant injury sank the Sags ship fairly early. Fantasy booking takes Knobbs out of wrestling, Sags continues and everyone stays healthy. Alas fantasy is not reality and despite my compliments, the bad stuff is wretched."

[2.0] "What happens when you make the worst enhancement talent actual wrestlers. Like his partner, Saggs was an atrocious plunder brawler and part of one of the worst tag teams that ever got a push. He gets a single point is his hilarious mullet and another single point for the boys awesome match with the Steiners in Halloween Havok."

[2.0] "One point lower than Knobbs because at least Brian could talk and was kinda funny. The Nasty Boys were bad and there was little that could save them"

[1.0] "Just a dreadful wrestler all round, there really isn't much else to say. His matches were boring then certainly don't stand up any better now. The TNA run needs to be seen to be believed on just how bad it was."

[3.0] "Just like his long-term tag partner, he was barely passable as a brawler but had an atrocious gimmick."

[0.0] "Can't remember anything he has done except being one half of the Nasty Boys. No talent and had no major titles. What titles did he win other than the tag belts? Knobbs did better. His wrestling style was bland with no charisma just boring."

[4.0] "In his day, Sags was a decent enough brawler, and he and Brian Knobbs as the Nasty Boys made a solid heel tag team for their era. His career was occasionally derailed by injuries and that perhaps held him back from getting as many singles shots as his partner."

[2.0] "Much like his tag team partner, Jerry Sags was a poor wrestler with a gimmick and interview style that was embarrassing."

[4.0] "The Nastys were an okay tag team in the day, but they stayed around for way too long and couldn't do anything but brawl. Their TNA run was just sad to watch."
