| 12 | 23.02.2024 | IDriveAFordFusion | 3.0 | There are very few wrestlers I dislike, and Saraya would be on that list of wrestlers I generally dislike, but even putting that aside in my rating of her, she would still score low in my ratings of wrestlers, hence the 3 point rating I just gave. Saraya's career has been mediocre in terms of just about everything she has in terms of skills, Her AEW return run has been an atrocious circus and her former career as Paige is mid to say the least, she is THE WORST champion of any belt within the history of AEW (and there is some dishonorable competition to that debate too by the way). Her wrestling is below average, often being sloppy and slow in some matches, even back then that was the case but not as prevalent as it is today, her move-set is also incredibly outdated and it's doing more harm to her supposed abilities than it is giving off nostalgia (I'll give her a little credit she's got a decent submission). On the Microphone, she is bad and has NEVER had a good promo of any kind. In terms of character, she might be okay in that regard but it really depends on if she's a heel or a face, she seems to have Go-Away heat with many due to her becoming one of the most hated women in Pro Wrestling in the 2020s despite being loved by a lot of fans back in the 2010s. She also seems to have a lack of originality in her characters (her ripping off Teddy Long when she was GM was just bad and cringe) and The Outcasts, one of the WORST stables in AEW and in the 2020s so far, shows this. All of these professional flaws are not getting into nor taking into account her very obvious personal issues (which she has plenty of, and would score a 0 if I were rating her off that) plus her toxic social media presence is just really bad. I have always found Saraya to be incredibly overrated, she benefitted from some very bad competition during the late term Divas era and was not better (and never will be better) than the 4 horsewomen and even a lot of the newer talents today. She seems to have lost whatever star power she may have had since going to AEW. Also, Saraya is probably one of the least deserving people to ever have a biopic made about her life (thanks a bunch, Dwayne! ), the fact that she got a Hollywood film before many other deserving wrestlers makes me shake my head every time I think about it, and she seriously thinks she deserves a sequel to it too! ? (having a hearty as hell laugh there). Some may say she's no longer a major women's wrestler because of booking, others may say it's because of injuries, and those are fair points to some extent, but I personally believe it's *mostly* because of Saraya herself, she seems to have destroyed almost everything that may have made her valuable by just being her own worst enemy and this will always seem to haunt her. What a shame. |

She came up and stood out as a breath of fresh air in the dying days of the Divas era, but really got gassed up more than she shouldve been. Within 2 years on the main roster, she had to deal with a whole new generation of excellent female performers, which was a bit of a sink or swim situation to see if she could hang with these hot prospects that had all the fan support she once had behind them after only really having the Bellas and AJ Lee to work with for the longest time. Unfortunately, they were almost all better than her in the ring and on the mic, which she almost had negative charisma on most of the time. Sure her career was dogged with injuries, but she just couldnt match the workrate of the horsewomen, and her lack of charisma didnt make up for it, just having a unique look to set herself apart, just look at her time managing Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Her comeback run in AEW has been awful, Ive hated the Outcasts from the start, they just ruin the fun for no reason (which is more the fault of AEW piss poor womens division booking). Im so happy Toni has split from them and taken on the Timeless persona, miles clear of Saraya and Soho. She also has one of the worst title reign and win in recent memory, quite biased on know, but I was there in person and booed over all the cheers. Her immature social media activity and her abhorrent taste in men (Alberto Del Rio and Ronnie Radke can go fuck themselves) makes me hate her even more. Heute sind einige Jahre vergangen, sie war lange raus und ist im Ring sicherlich nicht besser geworden und wirkt am Mikro mal sehr ordentlich, mal sehr unbeholfen. Die absolute Star-Ausstrahlung ist ihr aber geblieben und als Heel macht sie eine gute Figur. Sie mag nicht der Top-Draw für AEW sein, wie einige zuerst dachten, trotzdem ist sie eine Bereicherung für die Women's Division, alleine schon wegen ihrer Starpower. |

Because she was injured shortly before the Four Horsewomen and a bunch of other excellent female wrestlers were called up onto the main roster, she was able to avoid being compared to much better wrestlers and maintain the image of being a great talent as a result. Now that she's come to AEW on a roster containing a lot of great talent, she's been exposed. In AEW, her in ring work has been very average, she cut one solid promo about her struggles against Britt Baker and has bombed on promos every other time, and her ideas that her boss supposedly listens to have been awful, with the Outcasts coming off as boring at best, and embarrassing to watch at worst, with the spray can segment involving Toni Storm's hip being one of the most embarrassing things AEW's done. She had a lot of good will going into the company, but she's been a cancer on the division and she's easily the biggest signing mistake AEW's ever made. |
