Between his comedic lucha-styled prop work and his serious Billy Robinson-styled work, Oyanagi had demonstrated himself to be one of the most versatile workers on the scene when he was active. You put him in any role, and he could do it with ease. In a way, it is bitter-sweet that the primes of his career were in smaller promotions. On one hand, I am unable to readily prove how good he really was, to people that I'd like to show. On the other hand, he cemented his legacy as a well-kept secret within the already rich and deep talent pool of the puro scene. |

6 | 19.04.2017 | TheCorwo | 8.0 | Although he retired at a young age, Kinya Oyanagi had a long, prosperous career. As an extremely versatile worker, he was seamlessly able to incorporate high-flying action, technical wrestling, and even comedy into his matches at times. The only thing that prevents me from rating him any higher is a lack of footage. |
