609.11.2025BillyBobJoe36.0Triple H is one of those wrestlers I respect more for his big matches than for his week-to-week presence. When he's motivated, he can put on absolute classics, his matches with The Undertaker, Mick Foley, Daniel Bryan, Steve Austin, and especially Shawn Michaels are some of the best in WWE history. He knows how to tell a story in the ring, and when paired with the right opponent, he can deliver something special. That said, there are long stretches of his career where he just feels bland. From around 2006 to 2009 especially, it seemed like he was just floating around, doing a lot of nothing despite always being near the main event. He had the aura and the spot, but not the energy or creativity to make things interesting. Honestly, he was one of the few people who could make me change the channel during that era. Still, even in those duller years, there were bright moments like the feud with Daniel Bryan and the aftermath of The Shield breakup. He clearly understands wrestling psychology, but he doesn't always channel it into exciting TV. Overall, Triple H is a legend with a strong résumé, but he's also one of the most inconsistent top guys ever. When he's great, he's really great, but when he's off, he's painfully boring. 6/10 feels right.
708.11.2025GeeMAyy6.0I am seriously at a crossroads for this. One of the best wrestlers ever, and single handedly made 2018 WWE good just with booking NXT alone. But what the hell happened starting around the Summer of 2024? Somehow managing to outdo Vince in terms of making a god-awful product.

1130.10.2025KaptainCirk2.0Before I let Sunday Night Football's own Cris Collinsworth handle this review, I wanted to address what others here have brought up, he used his weiner to get himself into a position of real power. Before that he kissed the ass of the bigger stars by carrying their bags and being what can reasonably be called a wrestling intern. Hey it worked but it should forever be a black cloud that hangs over him. He also couldn't carry anyone to a truly great match only a truly watchable one. Back to you, Cris "Now, here's a guy that could've benefitted greatly from being in Andy Reid's system and Patrick Mahomes' tutelage. He has the tools but never filled his toolbox with what you need to be the best like Patrick Mahomes"

2212.10.2025pleasedreamofme3.0Just barely got by as a wrestler and an even worse booker. He was never really anything amazing or even good. Late career work was awful as well as his early career work. Wrestler carried by gimmick matches and stipulations as well as other amazing wrestlers like Shawn Michaels and Bryan Danielson. The main reason for such a low rating is his incredibly poor booking of great professional talent as he has constantly made bizarre booking decisions. Not a good wrestler, not a good booker.

3218.09.2025nothingleftinside7.0The dude definitely has some good matches under his belt for his career, but also plenty of bad ones and tons that were way too long. I find him to be completely overrated despite his good points. Definitely overpushed, a bit of a one-note promo, and always struck me as the guy who works with top guys rather than being the top guy himself. Gets some extra points as a booker for NXT and his initial run as WWE booker, but has fallen off since wrestlemania 40. I don't think he's someone deserving of the number of 10 votes he's gotten on this site. B- in ring, B+ look/gimmick, C for promos.
3310.09.2025Rassle Fan4.0He didn't excel in any one category and he wasn't terrible in any one category. That's why I'm giving him a 5. Would he have stayed at the top of the card as long as he did from 2002-2006 if he wasn't married to the boss' daughter? We'll never know. Would Larry Zybyszko have been AWA world champion if he didn't marry Verne Gagne's daughter? He probably had just as many terrible matches as he did good ones which puts him in a unique position for sure. DX in 1997 was a junior high version of the NWO with none of the coolness. The 2006 and 2009 versions were even worse because they were near or over 40 at the time. It was self indulgent nonsense. He booked a great run in NXT from 2015-2019 and all of a sudden the revisionist glazing begins. Assuming he should get a 10 and anyone else who rates him differently is "moronic" needs to learn what subjective means.

3602.09.2025Noer9.0Not the most likable wrestler during his prime for many reason, overpushed, overhype, overrated, etc. but there's no denying the thing that this man has done for wrestling, when wwe has been shit, he provided us with some of the best wrestling down in nxt, created future top star, he gives women a chance to shine in nxt that they will never got on the main roster which leads to women's revolution, his booking on the main roster since he took over is not always the best, sometimes can be pretty shit but it's way better than anything vince does before him.

0 Punkte.

5030.07.2025Keithnelson188.0As a wrestle, Triple H can have great matches to garbage matches. As a booker, he can also be 50/50. From July 2022 - December 2024, he was great, but as of late, I don't know what's been happening with the product

5726.06.2025CreamyDeluxe Triple H is a living legend in wrestling. Charisma, in-ring talent, incredible storytelling, and an impressive career both as a wrestler and behind the scenes. He has impacted multiple generations of fans. Nothing more to say he truly deserves a 10/10.

6109.06.2025TallNick27.0Good but overrated. His prime (for everything aside from physique) was only 1999-2001 and people act like being an entrance merchant for your entire career makes you the goat.
6208.06.2025alemolina5.0Absolute love and gratitude for Triple H the wrestler. One of the greatest of all time: the game, the cerebral assassin. Probably the most important heel of all time, being the first to shock everybody retaining the title at Wrestlemania. If we talk about him as a talent, he is a 10000/10 without a doubt. Unfortunately, I have to give him a 5 score because he is simply killing and destroying his legacy by being the worst, most boring and awful booker WWE could have in this moment. He has at his disposal one of the greatest and most talented roster in history and he is unable to give us nothing but predictable and flat storylines. You can tell the winner and the outcome of every match this guy books in great detail beforehand. WWE I BEG YOU: keep HHH's legacy clean, let us remind him as the awesome talent he was and keep him away from the booking

6401.06.2025AttitudeAggression7.0I always like D-X Triple H and Evolution was cool, but a lot of his matches on RAW and Smackdown were very forgettable. Triple H could always put on a good event match. I honestly like him better as a booker, than a wrestler. He was always a serviceable wrestler, but his consistency has always been lacking on his TV matches. His event matches however were legendary and when he was at his best he was spectacular.
6527.05.2025bherbert19808.0The "reign of terror" is overrated by his detractors and overly defended by his marks. The reality of it is that there is no question that HHH was unnecessarily booked as a top guy for three or four years, but it is also true that it happened at a time the three biggest stars in wrestling history left the company, so realistically he was a good choice to fill that role. If we're comparing Trips to Jeff Jarrett, Double J's reign of terror is far worse. In his prime he was a great worker and technician, and he adapted once he dealt with injuries. His work as the top heel was fantastic. I would have given him a 6 or 7, but in his current role he seems to be doing a good job of giving the fans what they've been clamoring for, and not doing the Vince thing of pushing whatever he feels like. When its all said and done, he will be remembered as one of the most impactful and influential figures in wrestling history

6820.05.2025Undertaker9082 Triple H gets a lot of slack from people that isn't deserved. He was a great technician and grappler and great as a heel as well. And while I know some go off his "politicking", there's no doubt he has passion for the business.
6919.05.2025brossfacebrippler416.0Has chemistry with just about anybody, but hands down my least favourite wrestler ever. Incredibly boring and long match portfolio, buried a lot of people, never opened a match for his performance. He carried himself with a lot of grace in the ring and his persona did a lot of heavy lifting for him.

7216.05.2025dani19996.0Is he a wrestling legend? Yes, but he was never one of my favorites, and he's also overrated in the ring. Even so, I don't discount the importance he's had in the history of wrestling. His "reign of terror" era is one of the best in history.
7316.05.2025RemyLeBeau9.0
7414.05.2025sanjuro5.0The 8+ average ratings for Trips go back far enough that the sentiment clearly predates any current conflation of his in-ring career with his sentimentalized reception as a booker, and the thought that consensus for his actual wrestling can be that high is mind-boggling. He had a decent workrate in his early era, perhaps because as a mid-carder he was not allowed to go over 10 minutes save for special occasions, but it takes a truly deranged narcissist to have to adjust oneself to the impact of a quad tear and instead of adapting to the possible strengths of slowing down, instead put yourself in positions to pretend you can have epic mat-classic wars. Look at how brilliantly Steve Austin and Akira Hokuto adjusted themselves to an entirely different work style and character approach after major injuries sidelined their early dreams of being technicians, then compare them to HHH, who tried to do WWE's version of King's Road after he'd lost 70% of his speed. Almost every major main event featuring him is a slog, his politicking makes even his jobs feel hollow and a detriment to the other guy, and even his mic skills are overhyped. When he leaned into meathead plunder with Foley or was willing to actually share spotlight with a more talented friend like Shawn, he could put together some great work. But it's largely impressive that this guy managed to get NXT and then the main rosters in decent shape storywise after being such a drain on the product for years.

7808.05.2025Takeshitas Lariat6.0Pre quad tear Triple H was an exceptional worker, after that he had to shift his style to a more old school heel, character work based thing and to his credit he absolutely embodied the smug, successful heel. I hated him so much as a kid and was actively invested in seeing him lose, the frustrating thing was he so rarely did and the slower pace in later years always had me losing interest as matches wore on. The dude really needed someone to tell him to stop wanking himself off and cut 10-15 minutes out of the majority of his matches. As a booker I've been up and down with him, NXT was often oddly booked but got over on the strength of it's talent, also I cant ever really forgive NXT uk for decimating the britwres scene the way it did. All in all, mildly positive

His backstage politics shouldn't be forgotten, he has buried more talent than any other modern day wrestler. Had to get with the bosses daughter to get a main event push cause his talent couldn't get it done. He's Horrible at his current job as a booker as well. Overall a mid wrestler, mid promo, and a shitty human, who got carried to good matches by the actual all time greats. Will never understand this guys hype

8917.04.2025stevecollins19886.0Decent wrestler. But its kind of crazy the love this guy gets. WWE are very revisionist on how important he was in the Monday Night Wars and the period after this he drove off more fans than anyone in history with his reign of terror. Very good politically and has a giant shovel to bury people which served him well.

10027.03.2025davidthemark9.0Arrived at this rating considering both his career as a wrestler and a booker. Nepotism allegations be damned, he was a dependable main event talent for WWE for nearly two decades, and has been a part of some of the best matches in the promotion's history. Triple H was dependably over, and in big moments he could back that up in the squared circle. If there's one criticism to his wrestling career I'd level, probably due to the creative control he gained while his main event career was ongoing, it's that he sometimes put himself over at the expense of more deserving or logical talents on the roster throughout the 2010s, and this arguably was as much of a contributing factor as any to the promotion's creative ice age by the late 2010s. His career as head booker at WWE is still rather young but it's been promising to say the least. You can tell that the morale of the roster has dramatically improved and that's translated to more invested performances both in and outside the ring. The Triple H age had a hot start for the first couple of years, but it feels currently like the product is a bit more hit or miss. I think some of that is Trips still growing into building out his own storylines and getting adjusted to what role he's going to have as head booker when it comes to weekly programming. It feels like the product quality is at an inflection point and could either improve or decay rapidly, but it's a better situation than what he came into, and that earns kudos.
