[2.0] "He got pretty popular at a certain point of his career in his babyface run with Oddities and he definitively a giant attraction more than a actual pro wrestler but he still awful in the ring not great at promo generic gimmick but i give him 2 points cause he definitively have the look for his role of monster heel and for the pop he got when he was in the Oddities"

[3.0] "Als Kurrgan bei der WWE gestartet ist, gefiel er mir in der Truth Commission eigentlich noch recht gut, weil er als Riese einfach eine bedrohliche Ausstrahlung hatte. Danach wurde er aber leider komplett zum reinen Comedy-Act gemacht, wodurch er jegliche Bedrohlichkeit verloren hat. Die Oddities waren dann ohnehin eine relativ wilde und absolut belanglose Truppe."

[5.0] "I don't know, I kinda rocked with Kurrgan. He's just a big dude doing big guy things, he wasn't pulling out match of the years or anything, but I think he had some fun squash matches, he had pretty intimidating presence too, well until the Oddities. But hey that's pretty fun and memorable group, moreso than the damn Truth Commission."

[6.0] "Ehhhh he had his moments but he wasn't very good was he? big of an attraction in the attitude era (basically just being a big dude) but couldn't really move or wrestle and left little to no legacy to be fair"

[3.0] "He was terrible in the ring and his run a The Interrogator in the awful Truth Commission stable was 0/10 worthy, but he did have a much better spot when he was in with The Oddities where he would show a much more goofier side to himself and was embraced by the crowd for it and was infinitely more entertaining with that than being a monster heel! He still couldn't wrestle though."

[5.0] "For some reason I loved Kurgan. Ya, he wasn't great and mostly just a big man. I still always enjoy when I see him pop up in movies. Sometimes wrestling just needs a giant and its not like he was pushed to the top over better people. Perfectly serviceable for what he did."

[0.0] "I think he's honestly worse than Giant Gonzelez, like it's pretty damn close, but I think Gonzelez has a better look and was a better personality (at least in WCW) In ring their both atrocious though. I'm really not sure anything good can be said about Kurrgan. His babyface Gimmick borders on ableism too."

[6.0] "Ich weiß nicht warum, aber irgendwie mag ich Kurrgan. Er ist definitiv nicht der beste Wrestler, aber für seine Größe ist er eigentlich okay. Besonders finde ich dass er das Monster gut spielt. Man schaut ihn an und seine Präsenz wie seine Bewegungen kamen für mich immer rüber dass er gefährlich ist."

[2.0] "Oh great, another tall immobile monster gimmick. Seems like Vince McMahon was trying a new tall guy or a fat monster each year. They tried pushing him as a bad ass in late 97 and by mid 98, he was doing the comedy act with the Oddities. Had the look, just awkward and couldn't talk for shits! Would hate to see this guy have a presidential debate with Andre The Giant!"

[3.0] "Immobile, with a small arsenal of moves, but a really scary convincing wrestler. Kurrgan spent most of his career in WWF and I am not familiar with his performances outside the company, but there he was remembered as a monster interrogator, part of the military group, and later a member of the freak show stable. Pretty interesting changes. I think he was quite convincing in his alliance with the Jackyl, and although their partnership did not last long, this period of his career was the brightest for him. 3 points for this gimmick."

[7.0] "Man, whatever. Kurrgan rules. Pro wrestling should always have a place for strange scary big men squashing people. I don't need long competitive Truth Commission or Oddities matches, but just let him in there for 90 seconds with several impactful moves and then a claw to the face. Who doesn't love that? !"

[3.0] "I'm only giving him a 3 because I like some of the movies he was in after leaving wrestling like 300 and Sherlock Holmes. That being said, as a wrestler he was unremarkable. A standard big man really. At least him and the Oddities were over I guess."

[0.0] "Big and very clumsy, Kurrgan couldn't really do much in the ring, in a group, or by himself, he couldn't do anything except dance funny"

[1.0] "If you're into the big lumbering giants that have a hard time moving around and can't impress in the ring, then Kurrgan is the man for the job. I didn't understand the appeal way back and I don't understand the appeal now. At least he looks pretty intimidating and was pretty good at portraying a brainless, dangerous man."

[0.0] "He's one of those guys who were there ONLY because of their look , his in ring work was terrible & he lacks personality."

[2.0] "As a young fan, I remember when I first saw Kurrgan I thought he would be a force due to his imposing size. The Jackyl being his manager felt like a really good fit. Kurrgan also seemed to be in good shape for a big guy & he looked like he's be able to move better than other seven footers. But as it played out, Kurrgan ended up being a big flop. The Truth Commission faction was bad & the Oddities was even worse. I feel like he should have been more."

[7.0] "I liked him. He was great in the ring. too bad he did not get a big push in the WWF. He was great for his size. The gimmicks he had were great. He is now in movies like Sherlock Holmes and Pacific Rim."

[3.0] "Vermutlich ist er besser als Schauspieler aufgehoben, denn als Wrestler. Einfach nur übermächtig dargestellt, was an sich stimmig war, aber unverletzbar kann einfach keiner dargestellt werden, denn das ist unrealistisch. Sein Gebrülle hörte sich für mich immer an, wie von einem bellenden Hund. Nee, WWE das war nix."

[8.0] "Kurrgan gets a bad rap, as he is not worse than other extremely tall giants type. He did well considering is very short career, had a memorable presence and, as a bonus, did a lot to enhance wrestling in the Maritimes region and was involved in his community witha pristine civic reputaion."

[1.0] "If he'd had even a bit of skill or charisma to go with his amazing look, he'd have gone far in the late 90's. As it was.... all he had was impressive stature. Glad to see he's done well for himself after wrestling, though."

[2.0] "In der Truth Commision ansatzweiße gut gespielter Charakter, aber wrestlerisch auf dem niveau des Great Khalis. Und sein look war auch eher mäßig, sehr einschüchterrnd sah Kurrgan nie aus. Hatte leider wenig zu bieten."

[2.0] "Keine Ausstrahlung und eine richtige Schlaftablette im Ring. JA er hatte Kraft und er war ein ordentlicher Brocken, das war es dann aber auch."

[2.0] "Im Ring eine Zumutung. Absolut unbeweglich und mit einem sehr begrenztem Repertoire. Auch ansonsten hat Kurrgan nicht viel zu bieten. Die Oddities waren jedoch eine gute Idee und da hat er auch gut reingepasst. Doch für eine bessere Bewertung - in einer Liga mit Riesen wie dem Undertaker, Kane oder Paul Wight - reicht das nicht."

[4.0] "Ich sah ihn neulich in einem Film auf DVD wieder. Erinnerte mich sofort wieder an sein Debüt im TV damals in der WWE. Mir hat damals seine schockierende Gesichtsmimik gefallen. Schade, hätte man irgendwie im Laufe der Storys anders verkaufen müssen. Guter Ansatz, interessante Type seinerzeit..."

[2.0] "A giant of a man, Kurrgan's first mainstream role was as the Interrogator, the enforcer of the Truth Commission stable in 1997 WWF, and continued with the group as it morphed into the Oddities. While the comedic version of the Oddities was good for a laugh or two and was a memorable fixture of the circa-1998 WWF undercard, in the long term it (along with his lacking in-ring ability) may have hurt his chances of being taken seriously as a threatening figure. After leaving the WWF in 1999, he had runs in Mexico and his native Canada, but has only appeared sporadically in wrestling since 2001. He has, however, been able to parlay his gigantic, muscular stature into a lucrative career as a character actor, with roles in such major motion pictures as '300' and 'Pacific Rim' and a recurring role in 2015 on TV in 'The Strain. '"

[2.0] "Erinnert mich ein wenig an The Great Khali. Ist von den Bewegungen im Ring so ziemlich das schlechteste was ich gesehen habe. Er sieht natürlich auch nicht wie der neue Star aus, aber schlechter als Untererdurchschnitt ist er nicht."

[1.0] "Even though the Oddities were a fun gimmick, Kurrgan was absolutely awful in the ring. He was one of those Great Khali or Giant Gonzalez type big men who could barely move, much less perform in the ring. I do have to give him credit where it's due as he seems to have successfully moved on from the wrestling business and seems to do quite well as an actor."

[10.0] "I honestly don't know why Kurrgan is rated low on here and I'm not saying that cause I'm being biased towards my childhood watching him, but because I really think he's a more talented giant than people give him credit for! Maybe they rate him so low because he was in the Oddities along with ICP who I honestly hate too so I can't blame anybody who doesn't like ICP, but whether that's the reason or not, I'll probably never know, but I honestly liked Kurrgan when he was in the Oddities! He along with the rest of the Oddities got a great crowd reaction every time they came out to the ring during the Attitude Era and hell, even I was on the Oddities bandwagon when I was a kid, but way more importantly, I liked him way better when he was a monster heel with The Jackyl as his manager because WWE really made you believe he was a scary, intimidating monster beyond belief with his evil stare and every time he grunted angrily and especially every time he latched on that Paralyzer finisher which was a deadly move in itself! What I really loved though was a lot of times after he won with that Paralyzer, he would either not let go until Jackyl slapped him in the face or he would still have that hold on his opponents and drag them to the back which both of those things made him even more intimidating! I think Kurrgan is one of the greatest big men in wrestling because of that monster heel role he played! Looking back on it now, I thought he did a hell of a job back then!"

[0.0] "Nee ging garnicht! Irgendwie hat er mich im Wrestling überhaupt nicht unterhalten. You know what I mean!"

[4.0] "Hatte eigentlich Potenzial bei seinem Monster-Look mit der dazugehörigen, gefährlichen Ausstrahlung. Und seine Auftritte im Ring habe ich eigentlich auch als gar nicht mal sooooo stümperhaft in Erinnerung."

[3.0] "eigentlich komisch das aus ihm nichts geworden ist. Als Interrogator eigentlich wirklich gute Ansätze für einen Monsterheel und mit ein paar wenigen Veränderung weg vom Rassistengimmick der Truth Commission und schon hätte man einen guten Heel gehabt. Als Kurrgan dann bei den Oddities einfach verschenkt, obwohl die ja recht over waren."

[1.0] "Ein ziemliches Monster, aber so gut wie kein Talent! Sicherlich auch der schlechteste Wrestler, der je in der CWA um einen Titel kämpfen durfte."

[4.0] "Als Wrestler natürlich eine Niete, aber als Nebendarsteller in diversen Filme ist er einfach nur zu köstlich, siehe , zuletzt Sherlock Holmes. Weil ich ihn mag, bekommt er 4 Punkte!"

[3.0] "Okay, wrestlerisch sicher nicht die Welt, aber als Riesenviech hatte er wenigstens eine kurze Daseinsberechtigung."

[3.0] "In "Sherlock Holmes" war er cool, bei den Odditites zumindest lustig... unterm Strich aber eine ziemliche Nullnummer..."

[0.0] "Nein, das hat mit Wrestling absolut nichts zu tun."

[0.0] "Tja was kann man zu ihm sagen war er einfach talentfrei oder konnte er sich nicht verbessern?"

[1.0] "Einfach völlig grausam im Ring. 1 Punkt noch für das wenige Charisma was er wohl irgendwie irgendwo hatte."

[5.0] "Ich bin mal wieder anderer Ansicht. Kurrgan war für seine Größe doch schon ziemlich okay. Verglichen mit Brocken wie Khali, Luther Reigns, Giant Gonzales oder Heidenreich, hätte man aus diesem Typen mehr holen können, zumal ich ihn für charismatischer als die genannten Kollegen halte (z. B. bei den Oddities)."

[1.0] "Hatte meiner Meinung nach im Ring nicht viel zu suchen. Seine Tritte und Schläge sahen durchweg künstlich aus. Einfach nur unglaubwürdig."

[3.0] "Er war ein Monster und auf den ersten Blick erschreckend, aber seine wrestlerischen Fähigkeiten waren doch sehr limitiert und keiner, an den man sich erinnert."

[4.0] "Mit dem Great Khali möchte ich ihn nicht unbedingt vergleichen, oder sagen wir, er ist "Klein-Khali", wenn man bedenkt, dass der Khali nochmal ungefähr einen Kopf größer ist als Kurrgan. Im Ring eine Niete, bei den Oddities aber Kult oder wie heißt es immer so schön: so schlecht, dass es schon wieder gut war!"

[0.0] "Man fragt sich manchmal ernsthaft ob die WWF das mit Absicht macht, dem Fan in gewissen Abständen die talentfreien Seiten des Business zu zeigen. Vielleicht denken sie, dass die anderen dann besser wirken? Der hier war in jedem Fall nicht TV würdig."

[0.0] "Ganz schlechter Wrestler. Wegen Talent kam er jedenfalls nicht in die WWE."

[0.0] "Nope, mit Kurrgan konnte ich mich in keiner Form anfreunden. Im Gegenteil, ich habe es gehasst ihn im Ring sehen zu müssen. Mit der Oddities Gruppierung hat man ihn zum Abschluss nochmal ins Lächerliche gezogen, was einem aus Schadenfreude nochmal ein kleines Grinsen entlockt hat, aber kurz danach wurde man zum Glück von seinen WWF Auftritten erlöst."

[0.0] "in einem Match gegen Joe E. Legend hatte dieser ihn in einem Headlock. Um den Ref zu foppen antwortete er auf die Frage ob er aufgeben wollte mit "IŽm super, thanks for asking" , einem Zitat aus dem South Park Film. Keiner der anwesenden Fans nahm danach das Match noch ernst und der Referee lachte lang und laut von genickbruch. com mehr als dieser Spruch blieb aber von ihm nicht übrig"

[0.0] "Ist privat befreundet mit Marc Callaway und hat wohl nur deshalb einen WWF-run abbekommen. Dass Bret Hart der Trainer gewesen ist, beweist halt doch, dass ein gewisses Bewegungstalent vorhanden sein sollte. Da kann auch Bret Hart nur scheitern..."
