Hepatitis B sucks man, he got that shit, an injury on his arm and them somehow no one wanted to hire him as a wrestler anymore. He is a fucking GREAT at the commentary desk because he knows so well about the industry, but we love to see him. Good to see him facing Bryan at this decade, wonderful that my dream match with Zack Sabre Jr freaking happenned and now we can only wait for more and more from him. He needs to enjoy what the pro wrestling technically took from him during 13 years. I saw someone saying one time on X that if we exclude everything Bryan has done at WWE and AEW, we would still be one of the greatest of all time. I will rephrase it. If you exclude WWE and AEW from his career, you have Nigel. Simple as that. |

Cringe old guy (like a character), bad on the mic (his disgusting low blows against MJF where he talks about sleeping with someone's wife or some similar crap, and he pulls it off terribly), very bad in the ring (awful matches that resemble gachimuchi). This isn't an insult; I really like gachi and technical wrestling. But Nigel's matches are just laying around and petting each other. He's bad shape, he doesn't have a good character. Just a guy in trunks with a messy haircut, periodically making a brow house to pretend he's serious. His feud with Bryan is the most personal thing I've seen in wrestling history. Probably only surpassed by Bryan's match with Ospreay. Basically, this wrestler is capable of spamming jabs, chops, eye pokes, and dull submission holds. There are good wrestlers who use submissions well--like Kyle O'Reilly, who's being pushed now. He manages to sell that kind of style and reverse. There was also Timothy Thatcher, who was both a cool character and really underrated. As much as I love Daniel Bryan, he looks like a god of wrestling compared to Nigel. Nigel can even compete with Zack Sabre. |
