The Mid South run left me with lukewarm feelings, why was he booked as a face? As a face with almost no mic time? What a waste. His time in Southwest Wrestling is much better. Plays the part of a creepy cult leader-esque semi-madman wonderfully. Methodical bruiser with malicious intentions. The look and ring habits are akin to WWF's Skinner character meshing with heel Jake Roberts, I bet you could compare to a certain member of the modern era as well. Not many like this one, very few here and there and it always WORKS. I hear he was a creative force and I have no idea where that translates to "watchable" but I guess he booked some stuff many of us liked wherever he went. I need to see more... |
