[6.0] "The Young Bucks are easily one of the most overrated teams today. They're by no means bad, but they're not as great as some fans make them out to be. Perfectly serviceable as a midcard tag team, yet it is worth noting that their business acument is quite excellent for getting to where they are today. Their matches are reminiscent of the usuail indie spotfest mess that isn't entertaining for everybody. Ergo, their matches are easily choreographed and it's not uncommon to see one guy waiting for his spot with lackluster (or non-existent) selling involved."

However, they have 0 psychology, tend to rely on obviously planned and rehearsed spots and have never improved in their time in the ring. In 2023 I don't think they have meant less since they were in TNA."

His only personality trait is arrogance which comes across well when he's in the smarmy heel role but it seems he always wants to be a babyface. Passable on the mic but has none of that "oh wow he looks like a wrestler" aura that top guys have."

"As a big fan of tag team wrestling, I believe that he and his brother have a lot of talent and are fun to watch. I still remember when he was in Impact as 1 half of Generation Me, which was a good fit for the insanity of tag teaming that Impact had. Now, he gives off a great show every time he appears on AEW. He and his brother even gave Private Party a boost by giving them the win in AEW's first week. No matter what, he'll always be remembered as a true star"

I know they have awesome matches and treat their fans well since like a decade ago and they've been getting rich on merch and now aew for like 5 years. Masively successful and I'm rating that here. Good promos but sometimes goofy. Great tag matches. Maybe sometimes spot setup heavy but they are good. And cooperative."

Matt Macks wrote on 02.07.2022:
[10.0] "Incredibly athletic, like his brother, and a bit more charismatic as well. His northern lights suplex combination is a beauty and his moves look smooth as butter at all times. Obviously the Bucks will always be linked together, but if they were to one day break up for whatever reason, Matt Jackson could have a great solo career as well."

Also, I think he can be very obnoxious, and that's helped them a lot in AEW in the last couple of years as they've been the top heel team."

PhenomenalGun wrote on 22.12.2021:
[9.0] "Matt Jackson is one of the best high flyers today with a solid technical repertoire he can employ during transitional moments of his tag team matches. While his brother Nick excels in athleticism and high flying spectacles, Matt is a solid talker, has heaps of charisma, and has a better look. Out of the two, Matt also has an exponentially higher chance of making it as a singles performer, but the pair have made it abundantly clear that will not occur anytime in the near future which is reasonable, their team is fantastic in all facets."

In my opinion, the creation of All Elite Wrestling really ruined all their appeal, specially Matt Jackson - who was my favorite of the two. I am not that old but I agree with Jim Cornette in a bunch of stupid things the Young Bucks made since 2018-2019."

They also have some great looks and act well as both faces and heels (even if they can be somewhat obnoxious). Neither of them are particularly good on mic from what I have ever seen, but they don't need it. No doubt, they will become (or are) an important part of Pro-Wrestling history."
KyleEnjoysWrestling wrote on 05.08.2019:
[3.0] "Hard to talk about as a solo, as pretty much everything he's done has been as a part of the Bucks. He gets a slight nod for being more comfortable on the mic compared to Nick. As a team, I can't stand 90% of their matches. Pinball video game matches. Doing their part to kill the superkick. Nothing matters except for high spots. Tag rules are thrown out the door in favor of non sensical double team maneuvers. If you've seen one Young Bucks match, you've seen them all. I see potential in them and I was hoping they might change things up with the launch of AEW, but thus far their matches with the Lucha Bros has just been more of the same."

Neither of them are amazing performers individually in my opinion, though. Doesn't help that they pretty much don't have singles matches."

Furthermore, the tag team moves with his brother, always perfectly executed and innovative, show that they are simply the best team! He has also a great charisma and maybe the best facial expression on the business."

But as a team, it's easy to see why they've become so popular. Spot wrestlers? Perhaps, but no one does that style better."
