[3.0] "Honestly Havoc was a hardcore specialist who managed to have quite a few good matches and get signed. He was good at the weaponfest matches but his in ring wrestling was alright as well. He did not appeal to me with his character work or mic skills but I know he did get over with this in the UK. His work in the UK is hit or miss really. In AEW he did not excel. His run and career were ended due to the accusations against him in the speak out movement where he had some of the worst accusations of all who were accused. Honestly AEW and pro wrestling will not miss him."

[10.0] "Nowhere utilized Jimmy Havoc like PROGRESS did. I've been combing through his matches there -- his rivalry with Will Ospreay is beyond compare, and really, the company was built on their feud, their bond, their blood, their hatred for each other. I've yet to get to their final match together (which looks to be a three-falls absolute brawl, like 45 minutes long, I am so fucking excited) but what I've seen so far is just... man, it's spectacular. Not to mention his heel turn -- he starts off as this "loveable loser" (as the commentator dubs him) babyface and, when his frustration boils over, you can tell exactly why he worked so well in the deathmatch scene. And not to mention how convincing he is when he's threatening people -- you really do buy into "this man is going to kill someone". God, what a talent."

[1.0] "I don't understand why he's rated so highly. He's easily one of the most overrated wrestlers I've seen. Even setting aside his questionable actions outside the ring, his performance was consistently below average. Few others have made me cringe as much."

[6.0] "Jimmy Havoc is an interesting wrestler to rate. He was fully capable of putting on a very good wrestling match and his character work was excellent most times. However, Jimmy would also fall victim many times to theatrics that were corny and off putting. At his worst Havoc would cut promos where he murdered someone, would use obviously fake blood for spots where someone would get their flesh bitten, or would do a paper cutting spot where his opponent would act like they were horribly sliced up with no blood in sight. This ambition for theatrics without a budget to support looked cheap and tacky, and often took me out of the moment when watching his work."

[6.0] "Jimmy Havoc could had become a hardcore legend on a massive stage but sadly things behold his control, them demons got to him. Not condoning sexual or physical abuse at all. In another life, hed be the real big breakout name in AEW. His indy work is the stuff of legend and so many hardcore victims in that ring. -4 because of whats gone down, be happy James, please be happy."

[9.0] "Rating is for the in ring stuff only. Jimmy Havoc is someone who I didnt know much about until I saw the 3-way match with him and Darby and janela. Overall, I think he was a good worker and a good promo as well, I like the deathmatch style also. I hope he gets a second chance to redeem himself and move on from his past. Idk, maybe Im just too nice lol"

[2.0] "Never got the hype. Never got into this guy like everyone else around 2016 did. Looked like shit, had the worst knockoff version of a Rainmaker I've ever seen. He is not near big enough nor strong enough to pull off hitting people with the Rainmaker. His only good matches came against Will Ospreay, a guy who could have a great match with a dustpan, and when he resorted to blood and violence. Glad his run in AEW stopped before it ever really began because he did not need to be stinking up Dynamite."

[9.0] "Im here to rate him as an ring worker and his character, i personally was never a person who enjoyed deathmatch wrestling i never did, although his deathmatches were decent to me i allways dig it, i watched probably over 100 of his matches and i found him to be great at selling and had good facials and enjoyed his promo skills alongside with his theme song, he simply was great everytime he was on and had interesting spots in his match and i loved the pace of them. as an in ring work he was one of my favorites in 2017-2019 specially in progress wrestling, as a character he was very charismatic."

[0.0] "Legitimately one of the worst wrestlers I have had the displeasure of seeing work in the ring. Shitty deathmatches, can't work a normal match and someone who standardly turned out to be a creep outside and inside the ring. Let's hope he stays gone forever as he provides nothing to wrestling and never has"

[0.0] "Some cringe middle age dude playing pretend emo kid. His deathmatches were mid at best, his regular matches were just ass, and his time in AEW showed he had no character whatsoever. Simply put, just a unique look on most independents he was on during the time that set him apart from the rest. He wouldve been one of the AEW 2019 originals to either be relegated to Dark until his contract expired or just unseen completely and its clear why. Other then the lackluster wrestling career? An absolute pest."

[7.0] "I rate the talent of a wrestler, not the personality, and I think Jimmy was very good in the role of a sick sadistic bastard, performing on the British scene. His feud with Will Ospreay is a modern classic, and Jimmy himself, having a memorable title-reign as world champion, was able to attract attention to himself. This segment was the brightest side of his career, because before that he was not the most memorable hardcore wrestler, and after that he frankly got lost by signing a contract with AEW. Jimmy is not a very gifted wrestler, but he is definitely charismatic and did a great job on his character and was one of the most memorable wrestlers in the history of Progress Wrestling."

[7.0] "Despite everything that's gone on with him, I'll always be a fan of Jimmy Havoc. He was THE man who got me watching Progress Wrestling. He had a great look that made him look like an unhinged psychopath (especially when it would transition in his promos). I loved his work against Will Ospreay, Paul Robinson, his hardcore/deathmatch work in MLW, CZW and GCW, and even his short time in TNA with Decay and AEW against guys like MJF and Joey Janela. I do wish he would return to the ring one day once he's cleaned himself up. I wish him all the best."

[3.0] "This guy was always pretty bleh to me. His only really good feud was with Will Ospreay, he could have a good deathmatch here and there but his weaknesses were REALLY evident in AEW. I feel like even if he hadn't been outed as an abusive asshole, he wouldn't have been signed to a new contract anyway."

[3.0] "A deeply mediocre wrestler in every sense of the word, how he got signed by AEW is beyond me. Occasionally had a fun deathmatch by UK standards."

[0.0] "His matches never did anything for me, even within the scope of deathmatch wrestling he was often poor. The revelations about his abusive behavior make him even less appealing."

[7.0] "All I'm going to say is that his PROGRESS heel run as the deathmatch specialist was good. Promo skills are well above average too. Hope he gets his just dues for what he did outside the ring though."

[2.0] "Embarrassing joke both as a person and as a wrestler. Terrible look, no wrestling ability, small size, no athletic ability etc. He basically could do only one thing. Absorb punishment. His runs with AEW, Defiant & MLW were garbage and his short Impact run was at best forgettable af."

[9.0] "One of my favourites, seen him a lot over the past ten years in UK Indies. Solid brawler, great at death matches and surprisingly good technical wrestler when given the chance. It's brilliant to see him in AEW against people like Cody, just wish they used him a little more on the main show and not just on Dark. Plus we really need the Havoc/Moxley death match."

[8.0] "As a heel, he is great both in the ring and for promos... His PROGRESS run and his rivalry with Ospreay were great. Good wrestler nothing to add"

[7.0] "It is only fair to rate Havoc for what he is. He is a "death" match specialist and if the stars of early ECW can get 9s and 10s then Havoc is worth a 7 at least. What makes him stand out from his peers is his timing. He feels the crowd and knows exactly when to make things extra nasty."

[6.0] "Good character work, he? s fun to cheer for and fun to boo at, but I? m not sold in actual in ring ability. I? d rate him as an 8 for deathmatch/spot filled wrestling but he needs to wrestle more actual matches in order for me to really see if he has any talent in ring. He? s decent enough to get by I guess."

[5.0] "So many modern day deathmatch wrestlers love to make the claim "I CAN really wrestle, but I just choose not to. " Well I have watched enough Jimmy Havoc matches to not really buy into that claim. I don't think he's the worst of the bunch by any means & at least he has a gimmick & is not just another random skinny white kid without a shirt. Thus far in AEW he has pretty much just been lumped in with the other garbage wrestlers, but going forward it will be interesting to see if Jimmy can do what he claims, since a national company can't just do hardcore matches all the time. I'l; rate Havoc a little higher than I would most deathmatch workers because I do see something there with his character & like I said, I don't think there is absolutely no talent in the ring. But I'll see where he is a year or two from now."

[8.0] "Death Match wrestling isn't really my thing, but I can make an exception for Havoc. He's got a cool look, good mic skills, and is a great wrestler even if you take Death Match out of the equation."

[4.0] "Don't get him at all. Terrible look. Terrible technical ability and so on. He's the stereotype of when Jim Cornette complains people look like geeks. He can have great matches with guys he clicks with but he's only good at brawling/hardcore with even then him having some notorious duds like the Sami Callihan match in MLW. Granted, maybe I'm just seeing over the hill Havoc as I do respect him for putting a lit if the UK scene companies in the map with his feuds. Nowadays, I just feel he's overexposed"

[8.0] "Probably the most accomplished British Deathmatch Wrestler in history. Jimmy is solid in ring, good at speaking, and is great at story telling. He's wrestled in multiple countries and has competed in CZW Tournament of Death."

[8.0] "If it wasn't for Havoc's match with Will Ospreay from PROGRESS, I'd probably never start enjoying hardcore matches. He certainly isn't all about extreme moments where he just hurts himself (which is sometimes completely unnecessary and stupid), he's also a master storyteller. Always looking forward his matches, especially in PROGRESS."

[10.0] "I wonder what I am going to say about Jimmy Havoc. I think he is a very good wrestler. He is so great at deathmatch wrestling. I also like him because he won the tournament of death in my home state of Delaware."

[9.0] "You can not enjoy Jimmy Havoc in the ring and what he does (personally, I love Havoc and what he does). He may not be the most flashiest or the most technical, but he has more charisma, character, promo work and story telling than damn near anybody in the wrestling world today."

Havoc has a great, legitimately hate-able gimmick, and an impressive set of moves to back that up. He also has an extensive knowledge on wrestling's history, adopting oldschool ideologies to create a truly compelling psychology between the ropes. His reign as PROGRESS Wrestling's Champion could have been one of the best singles-title runs of the modern era, culminating with an excellent loss to Will Ospreay. 10/10"

Proof that "deathmatch guys" are by no means typecast to that role, he still manages to reach into any point of his career and pull out the best he's got."
