[6.0] "TNA's Hurricane to me. He's a decent wrestler but hard to take seriously. His stone cold act was kinda funny, but wrestlers like him have always struggled to make a real name for themselves."

[7.0] "Yeah boy! Shark boy! This guy is great Stone Cold parody. Give me a SHELL YEAH! and all that. He is a really good technical wrestler too. I call him comedy wrestling prime."

[6.0] "I used to love this guy as a kid back when he was in TNA, but looking back, I think there's a rather good chance that said admiration was undeserved. He's a decent wrestler and nothing was too special about him besides his gimmick."

[6.0] "Enjoyable mid card comedy act. Good in the ring and entertaining on the mic in this role. Gimmick gave him the longevity but also guaranteed he would never be a big star."

[7.0] "Dean is a man who looks as good as possible in a comedic role. He has been acting as a comedic character almost all his career and even managed to perform in WCW and WWF, and he was able to become memorable and recognizable due to his bright gimmick and his skills. Solid 7 points."

Even if he never won anything in TNA he was always entertaining, he gets 2 points straight up for bumping off that barbed wire christmas tree, 2 points for getting New Jack to use Hulk Hands in a hardcore match, and another two points for being the lost Baldwin brother! He could work X-Division style, get other guys over and do comedy stuff when given the oppertunity. Just a real versatile talent ."

[2.0] "When I think of cult wrestlers, Shark Boy really set the tone for what would develop later once the Internet rose in prominence. With his name & mask, Shark Boy really caught fire, even attracting mainstream notoriety with MTV's True Life program. Due to the attention, he got some opportunity it might not have seen otherwise; his run in TNA being the most note worth. All that said, he was very much a comedy guy; something I'm not overly fond of. I thought it was a stupid act to begin with, but then it got REALLY stupid with the Austin stuff. I see a little appeal, but I'm really not a fan."

[9.0] "Shark boy is very talented, and good comedic character I always loved to see him in his time in TNA, always seems to be good in ring just bad booking in TNA seems that he have low rating here, underrated because wrestling many years in TNA never gets a nice push, only sporadic appearence with jobber status..... He was also an underrated flyer and great seller, and worked as a lower-tier X-Division wrestler or enhancement talent for TNA (his gimmick was such that losses wouldn't hurt his popularity), and could excel on the indies. Kind of surprising Chikara never wanted to use him; seems like he'd be a perfect fit there."

[9.0] "Talented worker despite his lame cartoonish comic book character like gimmick. His selling skills are top notch. Makes a great jobber though, which is why TNA kept him around so long. Pretty much his generation's Barry Horowitz."
