[5.0] "Droz is someone who was still new to the business when he got his life-altering injury and needed a lot of improvement to rate him higher than a 5. His run as part of LOD 2000 was horrendous with the Hawk angle being abysmal. He had an ok tag team with Matt Bloom (Albert) before he got paralyzed."

"I'll just comment only instead of giving a rating. The injury that happened to Darren Drozdov was utterly tragic, but he seemed to be one of the most positive and genuine people in all of wrestling and for that he should be remembered with real fondness. I think we should try and remember Droz the person and not define him by the injury. Sadly we never got to see how good he could have really become due to his career ending so early. He seemed like he had potential and if he'd had the right feud with the right opponent he might have kicked on and become a big star in the industry. RIP to someone who seemed to be one of wrestling's genuinely good people"

[5.0] "I had tossed and turned about rating/reviewing him as early as by the time I entered the cage here. Even then, even before then - How can I dare say anything negative about him in light of "the incident and subsequent injury" ? The problem is Droz was not that good. In fact, if you said 'Droz fkn sucked" I wouldn't really go out of my way and defend him with sword and shield. *sigh* Rest in peace but I can not lie and say I recommend his in ring material. *grumbles* ... I guess a 5 is extremely and maybe even grotesquely generous. But yknow, mercy points or something to that effect."

[7.0] "Rest in Peace Droz. A lot of potential that was sadly unrealized due to the freak accident against D'Lo. Solid rookie that had a lot of upside, and seemed like a really good dude."

[3.0] "Had potential and the look, but his career was ended too soon to rate higher than a 3. The Puke gimmick was moronic though. Typical 1998 WWF Vince Russo stuff."

[7.0] "Droz was good. He'd been wrestling less than two years at the time of his tragic injury and retirement and seemingly had to learn on the job (his second listed match was in ECW, his fifth was for WWF! ). He was very athletic (great leaping ability, could really get off the ground for dropkicks, shoulder tackles, leap frogs, etc) and had a lot of strength (terrific powerslam, great at catching guys in the air) and worked a good brawling style with some fun flourishes. He absolutely could and would have gotten better in the ring. He also had a unique and memorable look and having some on the lower card like Droz helped keep the WWF an exciting and engaging watch, even when a top guy wasn't on screen. Lots of respect for Droz."

[5.0] "Absolutely tragic what happened to Droz. He was a solid rookie in the game, while not very impressive I don't think there's a reason to assume he wouldn't have been able to improve to produce decent performances."

[4.0] "He had potential but sadly destiny had different other plans, he had the stamina and the physic but his in ring work left much to be desired. The one thing about him that stood out the most was his look, he was easy recognizable and seem to very charismatic, poor guy could have been nice mid card champ."

[6.0] "A quality man who had true tragedy befall his career. The fact that he leads a productive life is inspiring. His career was cut far too short judge fairly. He showed a lot of charisma and potential despite being saddled with questionable creative. I see some criticism about his abilities as a worker. I have an admittedly narrow scope of his in-ring work, but given the former footballer's natural athleticism I have no doubt he would have continued to improve had he been fortunate enough to have had to opportunity. Will forever have an apartment in my brain thanks to his scene in the film "Beyond the Mat" opposite one Vince McMahon. "He's gonna puke! " His untapped potential and his resilience as a man influence my rating."

[3.0] "Solid look and charisma but not exactly a good wrestler as far as in-ring ability is concerned. The Puke gimmick wasn't exactly great either."

[2.0] "I hate gross-out culture & some dude coming in as "Puke" instantly got him on my shitlist. Then he did some dumb wannabe Road Warrior thing which also made him unlikable. Dressed like a bum & showed me nothing in the ring."

[4.0] "The gimmicks and storylines Droz was given to work with - "Puke" and LOD2000 - weren't exactly stellar, but he had a good look, decent power and mic skill, and certainly had potential to do more than he was ultimately able to. Unfortunate that his career was ended suddenly and in such horrific fashion, but it was nice to see him able to stick around the business as a magazine and website columnist for WWE long after his in-ring career was over."

[5.0] "Not a fan of his, today he'd be compared to Mojo Rawley. But he was far from awful either hence I chose not to give such a low rating."

[6.0] "Hard to rate based off what he did, Droz was definitely improving. I think he had great mid-card potential."

[4.0] "It's hard to rate him properly because he never had a chance to come into his own before the horrific accident that ended his career (and almost his life. ) He's got low ratings on here but that's only because he was a pro for only 2 and 1/2 years, not enough time to determine what kind of wrestler you really are. 2 years in, you're still trying to find your voice and know your role, so to speak. (And he wasn't going to get famous as the guy who pukes on command. ) So this guy's tough to rate. But he gets major respect for holding himself responsible for his injury. He's regained his upper body and arms, thank God. All in all, a missed opportunity of a career."

[1.0] "Droz was a bad wrestler with no mic skills, and nothing in the ring. He brought down every team he was a part of and his matches were slow and absolutely terrible. No place in a wrestling ring whatsoever."
