[9.0] "When your father is one of the most emblematic wrestlers in the history of the sport, matching up to him can be a tall task and to some it can even be impossible. Dr. Wagner Jr. was not only able to succeed in matching up, but some may even argue he was able to surpass him in terms of accomplishments. A phenomenal worker all around, Wagner could have a great match with anyone not to mention he is surprisingly good at the "promo" work that certain sections of the wrestling community loves so much. One just has to look to THAT segment at his doctor's office to understand that this man would have succeeded a lot had he gone on to work in the USA, but he did not do that instead he remained in Mexico with some tours to Japan here and there. A decision I appreciate a lot as it gave us the chance to truly appreciate his in ring work against the likes of Park and Atlantis. The only reason he is not a 10 is that he has done the ultimate sin in Lucha Libre, something I cannot ever forgive. He lost his mask to Psycho Clown and then a few years later to decided to just put it back on like nothing ever happened, had someone other than Wagner done this I likely would have given them a 0 rating for the blatant disrespect to the sacred laws that govern this world. Thankfully for him, Wagner is an all time great and he gets away with a slap on the wrist and a one point deduction."

[10.0] "My favorite luchador of all time. Great wrestler and giving great matches in his prime. He has great look and charisma. I always thought he could've been the world champion in Japan and maybe US. He also could work well as Tecnico or Rudo. God Bless Dr. Wagner Jr. Bien, Bien, Bien!"

[3.0] "Behold the Rey Wagner, the wrestler who had everything to become a legend and messed up. During late 1990s and mid 2000s his popularity reached his peak, he was one of the biggest draws in the Mexican Lucha Libre. Even non pro wrestling fans know who was Dr. Wagner Jr. But he still needed a memorable match to consolidate as a legend. Unfortunately, his major feuds with Atlantis, Canek, LA Park, Rayo de Jalisco Jr. ended inconclusive. In Mexican wrestling the apuesta matches are really significant the result could affect a career permanently. Triplemania XXV was the beginning of the end of Wagner's career. His unexpected mask loss against Psycho Clown was not taken well by the fans. Many people haven't forgive that anticlimactic result. Wagner did not even try to redeem, the flamboyant Rey Wagner persona was negatively received. From a serious and respectable wrestler to a living joke. His hair loss to Blue Demon Jr. had a very negative reception by the fans due to the controversial ending. Actually his latest title and apuesta matches are messy. He has been demoted, he is no longer in the big events. It is really underwhelming watching him in live events. He doesn't even do his trademark moves. I will rate him with a 3/10. He could be regarded as one of the most iconic wrestlers and ruined all."

[8.0] "Dr Wagner Jr was an absolutely impressive wrestler in his prime, especially when it came at showcasing his devastating offense against some unfortunate tecnico. He was willing to take crazy risks as well: see some of his insane matches in Japan, especially against Jushin Thunder Liger. Very good at promos as well and has always been a major draw: his alliance with Blue Panther made excellent money and to this day fans are ready to pay good money and suffer through a lot of low quality filler to see him despite being far from his prime. However he has taken a number of questionable decisions throughout his career that have put him in the "second tier" of Mexican wrestling legends, behind the various Blue Demon, Mil Mascaras, Tinieblas, Cien Caras etc despite being arguably better than several of them."

He has the skills and the presence to deliver a match that can captivate the crowd. His legacy has been written as he keeps going and he should continue to make people excited when he's on the card."

Oozing an unmeasurable charisma, Dr. Wagner Jr. is a SUPERstar anywhere he goes and in a sport with a big hierarchy where vétérans are treated like living legends, he simply commands respect and admiration, and cannot be equaled."
