Whether it's the varied moveset, the thumping theme Yamato Spirit or the slight hair part taunt that infuriated his opponents he will go own as the 3rd longest Dream Gate champion and one of the pillars of Dragon Gate. Similar to Doi, I expect he'll freelance eventually - he's already doing more and more non Japanese bookings. While I'm glad a larger audience will see him and how he's still solid in the ring, I'll be sad that it's the inevitable start to the end of his career. If you watch anything of Dragon Gate, find a YAMATO match in his full heel mode and enjoy."
[10.0] "There's always a lot of talk about "total package" wrestlers in the industry. YAMATO is one of them. From his tag team days with Doi in Mad Blankey to becoming the de facto ace of Dragongate post-CIMA, the man is impressive in everything he does. He's an incredibly fluid grappler, but he can also fly, brawl, talk, and he has effortless charisma. While the veterans are starting to be pushed to the back in DG in favor of pushing the young generation, YAMATO is still at the top of his game after hitting his 40s, and I hope he sticks around long enough to have a veteran run like Masaaki Mochizuki has in his 50s."
