[5.0] "I thought he was very sold in the ring. Was a super lower mid card guy who would win on occasion. Could be a face or heel and credible in the ring. Was very good enhancement talent and could work as singles or tag team talent."

[4.0] "Never a big deal and never too interesting. A lower card worker who gave some credibility to the risers that beat him in the ring, which is more than can be said for a lot of jobbers."

[4.0] "Mark Starr may have been little more than an enhancement talent and a Mike Awesome body-double, but beating him really enhanced his adversaries. His great physique, as well as his good agility (especially considering the standards at the time) made him a very adequate stepping stone, worthy of being shown on television."

[6.0] "West Midlands born Mark Starr was an undersized, but talented utility player for promotions like Memphis and WCW, where he was primarily used as an enhancement talent, but later got a minor push in a tag team with another wrestler who left us too soon, Chris Kanyon. Along with a few other WCW enhancement guys, like The Gambler, Starr was one that I recognized and one who had talent to work a decent match and get a guy over. The low rating here really puzzles and troubles me because it doesn't say much for the understanding most of the site users have for the business. Mark Starr wasn't flashy, but he was a solid worker who filled a very specific and necessary niche."
