[7.0] "I don't like their music, but I don't understand how people slept on them in wrestling. They're not that bad. In the ring they can do basic stuff and on the mic they can talk. On commentary they're super funny (except the gay jokes). Violent J is the better of the two and had a better physique."
[5.0] "My Rating 5.1 I really don't remember much of his work as an in ring performer but on commentary he was always hilarious. Now that he is back in wrestling (NWA) as a manager he has seemed to find his spot. Nothing bad to say about his current work and I'm really glad he is back."
[5.0] "Its easy to dismiss Violent J because of ICP's notoriety, but he's got a legacy in wrestling few can ignore. ICP's in-ring career came to prominence when they starting doing crossover appearances in WWE and WCW. Violent J himself is not a small man and was the muscle to Shaggy's aerial spots. Yet as the "Monday Night Wars" era came to an end, Violent J became less of an in-ring talent and more of a promoter. If JCW can continue growing as a touring independent promotion, he'll hopefully become better (and more fondly) remembered as a promoter."
[6.0] "It's sad that people sleep on these guys because of their hip-hop career. They aren't groundbreaking, but they tended to pump out competent, mid-level matches wherever they'd go. While Shaggy was able to use his smaller build to his advantage in the speed and aerial department, Violent J had a better physique & was able to brawl & be taken a bit more physically seriously."
[7.0] "Is Violent J a technical mastermind or, at this stage in his career, even able to really move around a ring? No. Am I having tons of fun every time I see him in a pro wrestling ring? Hell yeah, I do! Doesn't matter if its his 90s stuff in WWF and WCW, his run in his own promotion JCW, or most recently his cameo at a BJW show in Korakuen Hall, Violent J wrestling just makes me happy."
[10.0] "Recently NWA has given Violent J an opportunity to shine and he has flourished. Violent J has always been part of an entertaining duo (ICP) the Insane Clown Posse. But seeing him as a manager on his own has been refreshing to see and a joy to watch. HIs run in NWA alongside the Brothers of Funstruction has not only elevated himself but also the Brothers of Funstruction to new heights only others could dream of. From musical talents and his wrestling passion, Violent Js mindset in NWA will be very valuable to Billy Corgan and the management team at the National Wrestling Alliance, He has come a long way since his days at ECW, WWF and WCW, opening a younger audiences eyes to his true valuable self and finally showing the wrestling world how talented He truly is."
"I am really surprised of how low rating Violent J has. I think ICP was one of me most unique tag teams in wrestling. They had a strong fanbase and wrestled in all major companies. Very underrated talent!"
[2.0] "I was never a fan of ICP & think they, alongside Jerry Springer, epitomize the trashiest aspects of that era. However, I will say that ICP didn't bring all the trash they could have to the wrestling world when they decided to enter it. They were mostly just silly C-list celebrities. Perhaps an ounce of credit goes to them for actually respecting the business."

I am not a huge ICP fan, but I respect the hustle and knowledge he has for the music industry, and those traits are apparent in Violent J's wrestling career, as well. While his ring work is not my cup of tea, he did rub shoulders with most major American wrestling companies. On top of that, his JCW promotion did its job to introduce myself and others to wrestlers who may otherwise not have had the stage to perform on. All that in mind, this 3 star rating almost seems too low. You know, until you pop on one of his matches. Then you remember why you voted thusly. The Oddities theme is an underrated gem, though!"
[10.0] "Anyone who dares to say they aren't entertained by Violent J has either never truly watched anything he's done in the realm of pro wrestling, or is a belligerent, boring, killjoy of a person. So. Yeah. From the WWF to WCW to JCW, Violent J is a highly entertaining figure in the world of pro wrestling."
[4.0] "As a wrestler? Average. Never would have made it anywhere were it not for his infamy (that's the best word I can use) in the music business. As a promoter... JCW is unlike any other wrestling company running today. They do just about everything unconventionally. I give this guy a higher rating than most people on here because of his passion and knowledge of the business. Not too many celebrities are that dedicated to the sport. You have to respect that."
