[7.0] "He was a pioneer of the Moondog gimmick. Lonnie Mayne was a household name in the Pacific Northwest. He was decent in the ring and his role of a wacky wrestler was excellent. He was untamed in the ring. He was also popular in San Francisco winning the US title. He helped put Roddy Piper on the map in Los Angeles. They feuded just before Mayne was killed. The promos he did were amazing!"
