[10.0] "A wrestler that never needed charisma, Kazuo Yamazaki was the last of the shoot kick artists breed from the original UWF in New Japan (as Kido was from the grappling artists breed). Not only helped raising UWF shoot style wrestling, but also was the one who carried his deceased company's banner in NJPW through the 90's, still preserving it to newer generations, like Yuji Nagata. As years went by, having Yamazaki was even more important, as the 1998 G1 shown that by seeing the lineage of wrestlers he defeated to reach the finals against Hashimoto, and since retiring, he kept himself there commentating and sharing experiences along the years. A credit indeed to pro-wrestling!"

[10.0] "One of the best shoot-style wrestlers ever. Yamazaki's work goes back all the way to NJPW in the 80s, where he followed Maeda and Takada to UWF, and eventually UWFi. He perfected his craft and later became a quality wrestler for NJPW in the 1990s, where he would have an epic G1 final match with Shinya Hashimoto. Yamazaki was a brilliant technical wrestler that had the kicks and strikes to back it up."
