[10.0] "Ray Mendoza is in the upper echelon of Lucha Libre stars. The patriarch of the Villano family. He became synonymous with the NWA World Light Heavyweight title in the 60s at a time when the title was very prestigious and was recognized as one of the best lightweight in ring wrestlers in the world. His first major run was as a rudo but he became perhaps even more successful later as a tecnico, feuding with his old friends Karloffe Lagarde and Rene Guajardo. He was a key star in getting the UWA off the ground."
