| 1 | 16.12.2025 | MattHall | 6.0 | Not much to say about DJ Peterson, he kind of looked like Jerry Allen but taller, I think Peterson was a solid in ring worker, but he lacked charisma and mic skills. He had a good enough look and he was tall. It seemed like every place he worked for, he was either low card or mid card at best. I think Peterson was one of the few positive things that happened during the dying days of the AWA, he did a have a brief feud with Curt Hennig, but it went nowhere because nobody cared enough, and people were tuning into WWF TV. Peterson did actually have a small run with the WWF. He was pretty much put into the role of Jerry Allen/Scott Casey type jobber, but his WWF stint was cut short for whatever reason, even though I thought he could've stayed longer and he would've made more money. Peterson eventually came back to the AWA and became the last AWA tag team champions with Del Wilkes, and a few years later he died in a motorcycle crash at 33 years old. |

DJ Peterson had one of the best bodies in the biz (think peak Hercules Hernandez but tanned and with larger pectorals) and was silky smooth with his work. That last statement is full of irony because only with Hercules was there a shoddy spot to be found. I'll always feel he was about 2 or 3 years away from a complete character and persona makeover - however his life tragically ended before such a fantasy could occur. I really wish there was more to say about his career but what's there I appreciate. |

Had a nice run in Central States and was an AWA tag team champion during the last legs of the promotion, Had a great look, but below average the few times I've heard him on the mic. Almos killed Hercules when he accidently tripped him to the outside of the ring during one of his few WWF televised matched. Died in a motorcycle accident at age 33 so who knows what could have been. |

Who knows where he could have gone in his career if he did not die in that motorcycle accident. |

He had a good run in the midcard of the AWA in that company's later years, most notably being half of the last AWA World Tag Team Champs along side the Trooper (Del Wilkes). He was the kind of guy the WWF or WCW could easily have picked up and turned into a star on the midcard level or perhaps even higher, but sadly he never had the chance, as he lost his life in a motorcycle wreck in 1993. |
