[5.0] "NOTE: 5 points is the highest rating I give to regional Indy wrestlers who are unproven on television. 5 points for a regional indy wrestler indicates that they are among the best in the territory. The ceiling I place on my ratings of regional indy wrestlers has nothing to do with talent, but with them being unproven on a grander scale than their normal audiences ... Call me old school, but if I'm a promoter in the midwest, I am booking this guy on every show I run. He's nothing spectacular in terms of talent, but his size alone makes him a valuable part of every show. The art of wrestling is getting increasingly smaller and smaller. Indy wrestling is, by its very nature, filled with younger wrestlers. So with a scene filled with small, young-looking wrestlers, here we have a huge MAN. Every show I've ever seen him on, he gets a huge pop based on his size alone. If you're a booker, get this man on your shows! He's huge. He can throw around anyone on the card while also creating a built-in David vs. Goliath story. This man should be one of the most in-demand indy wrestlers out there. Like Andre the Giant back in the territory days, his value to a wrestling show is the juxtaposition of size, therefore he is best suited for multi-person matches where his size can really stand out. At the time of writing this, he earned a Freelance World Title shot for whenever he wants, so I'm really hoping Freelance pulls the trigger on him at some point in 2026. There are some very bright young talents in Freelance right now who I think will benefit from working with a World Champion Darius Latrell. While I've talked enough about his size, he also has a stoic charisma that nobody else in the region comes close to. Not to mention, he always has awesome gear that compliments his character and aura very well. I believe I'm using the term right when I say he's "aura farming" at all times. If I didn't use that correctly, forgive me. I'm old! Darius Latrell is simply the coolest man in the venue every show he's on, and I hope to see more of him around the area, because the fact of the matter is that he should be booked whenever and wherever he wants. While his wrestling ability isn't anything special, he does have several fun moves, such as when he "dribbles" his opponent's head into the turnbuckle pads like they're a basketball. I love that gimmicky stuff that also is a killer move. He probably never made it to the next level due to his physique, as it isn't anything special. He's in great shape, and better shape than I will ever be in, but his muscle tone is lacking quite a bit. Whatever his goals are in wrestling, he should always have work whenever he's looking for it. Simply seeing a man of his stature, charisma, and athleticism is always a treat."
