[9.0] "Chris Sabin might be one of the most underappreciated champions of the last two decades. He isn't flashy on the mic, and he doesn't carry himself like a superstar, but his work speaks volumes. Sabin was one of the original centerpieces of TNA's X-Division and helped shape its identity through fast-paced, innovative matches. His smooth transitions, crisp timing, and bumping ability made him one of the most reliable workers in the company. He won the X-Division Title multiple times and eventually captured the TNA World Title in 2013. While that world title reign was short and didn't fully click, it was a testament to how respected he was by the locker room and fans alike. Sabin never needed to cut 10-minute promos or chase headlines. He just showed up and delivered quality matches year after year. As a singles wrestler, he could keep up with anybody. But as a tag team wrestler, he found something even more special alongside Alex Shelley. Sabin is a ring general who stayed consistent for over two decades. Quiet, dependable, and criminally overlooked, especially by casual fans."

He never got a ton of shots at world titles, but Sabin is what you want in a talent due to just how willing he is to work in any role. X-Division, tag, mid-card, main event... He's got you. And he'll make your guy look like a million bucks if you need him to. Hail Sabin."

[10.0] "A superb wrestler. Chris Sabin is one of the best wrestlers in the world and also one of the most underrated wrestlers on the planet. Motor City Machine Guns are most probably the best tag team in TNA history and Sabin is the greatest X Division champion in TNA history. I would love to see him win the TNA World Championship one last time at some point before he retires as a TNA original and mainstay."

[10.0] "I remember watching his match vs Shelley at Genesis 2009, and watching it I realized that Chris Sabin does for me what maybe 4 or 5 other wrestlers ever have done for me and actually made me want to wrestle. It'll never happen of course, but Sabin making me think that shows just how exceptional he is. In the sky or on the ground he is up there with AJ Styles and Sting as one of the best TNA/Impact/TNA (again) guys ever in the ring, and the fact he still is able to do what he does best almost 25 years later and do it better than most wrestlers today is absolutely wild."

"incredible Wrestler, incredible in tag team matches and a king of the X-Division. He was part of the best tag team in TNA history and remains relevant after so many years in the company. I hope scott D'amore books a fight between alex shelley and chris sabin, i need to see this"

[10.0] "Basically the Kobe of flippy ****. Turns out he really was that good after he went singles. Total package. Best living flippy **** legend after Alex Shelley. Much better psychology than some of the younger guys doing the style. A real innovator. Another of these guys AEW should be writing royalty checks to. Never seen the guy wrestle a bad match. Cruiserweight height and weight and going singles too late in his career (which has been a great run) held him back IMO. Terrific in solo and tag team stuff. If you like wrestling, esp the flippy **** watch Sabin/Shelley Genesis 2009, their more recent match or any MCMG tag match. The Young Bucks whole schtick is MCMG (Shelley/Sabin)."

Unfortunately, I don't believe the way Sabin shaped the business will be recognised until he is long retired. You can not watch any major UK or US promotion without seeing shades of Sabin and Shelly mixed throughout every level of the card."

[8.0] "Chris Sabin might be most well known for being one-half of one of the greatest tag teams of the 2010s, the Motor City Machine Guns, but this 20+ year vet is also one of IMPACT's greatest wrestlers. When I think of some of the greatest matches in TNA's history, Sabin has got to be in at least half of them."

[7.0] "When people remember TNA's X-division glory days, they love to mention AJ, Daniels & Joe. But it was not just those three guys who made a name for the TNA brand. Low-Ki, Amazing Red, Austin Aries, & Chris Sabin really deserve to be brought up more than they are. Sabin was great in the ring. & did some great things with the X-division when it was around. He then successfully transition into a tag team that people were wild about for a few years. I'm kind of surprised he's often forgotten about today. All that said, he was never one of my personal favorites because he just seemed to me like he belonged in a boyband. Perhaps that's why others tend not to talk about him with fondness?"

MogGuy wrote on 06.11.2018:
[6.0] "I honestly don't know what anyone sees in Sabin outside of tag team wrestling. He's a decent worker but I feel he's pretty overrated. TNA should have never put the world title on him and his reign is very forgettable. I do remember him shining to a certain extent on the mic during his angle with Velvet Sky but that's about it. And that whole 'Hail Sabin' stuff in TNA was so cringe, lets be honest here. EDIT: Changed my rating from 4 to 6 because he's better in tag teams."

Awesome singles and tag team wrestler. He was great in Motor City Machine Guns. Chis Sabin is definitely not worse than Shelley. One of the best performers in the history of TNA"

Strezemann wrote on 10.08.2016:
[6.0] "Sabin's always been slightly bland to me as a singles guy, but he's obviously a very talented worker. Doesn't bring a ton to the table in terms of mic skills or character work, but excels in tags and high-flying situations, and really found a perfect partner in crime in Alex Shelley. Sabin getting a world championship on a national stage was a bit of a head-scratcher and a bit of a credibility hit to an already faltering promotion, but kudos to him for his years of service and for being able to come back as good as ever despite some rough injuries."
DanTalksRasslin wrote on 19.04.2015:
[8.0] "Until his departure from TNA, Sabin had been a staple of the X Division almost since the beginning, and for good reason. He was always exciting to watch in that fast-paced, high-flying environment. He also had lots of opportunity to shine as a tag wrestler, most notably in the Motor City Machine Guns with Alex Shelley, with whom he had fantastic chemistry and tons of interesting tandem moves, and also while teaming with Sonjay Dutt. His mic skill might be his weak point, but it's not a big deal if he's placed where his high-flying skill can do the talking. And anybody who names themselves after a 'Final Fantasy VI' character is A-O-K by me. His short run with the TNA World Heavyweight Title was poorly handled, but that's hardly his fault; he shouldn't have been put in that position. Has had regular work on the indy scene since leaving TNA, and it's only a matter of time before he shows up on TV again."

[10.0] "I'm a fan of both Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, and even though I love them as a tag team, if I ever see the Motor City Machine Guns break away from each other and become singles stars, I see Chris Sabin as more of a world champion caliber athlete than Alex Shelley to be honest. I know I'm maybe going to get heat for that, but this is just my personal point of view and preference on the whole subject so whatever. Don't get me wrong, Alex Shelley is great in the ring, I'm not denying that one bit, but I just can't get into his personality cause he tries too hard to be funny on camera to entertain the fans. When I look at Chris Sabin, I see him as the better worker than Alex Shelley, I see him being more talented than Shelley in the ring, and unlike Shelley, he doesn't try to be funny on camera. He's more serious on the mic and it seems like he has more fire than Shelley has and I really like that about Chris Sabin. Again, I know so many people would probably disagree with me, but like I said, that's just me and how I view Sabin from my perspective."
