One is the bland low-to-midcard babyface wrestler NJPW has used for years, the other is the incredible heel that fought Tiger Mask IV and is now part of CMLL's 2023 resurgence. His work with Volador Jr. and the new Mascara Dorada has been nothing short of phenomenal: even the press conferences are absolute must-watch."

In tag teams he has been great whether it was Roppongi Vice, Forever Hooligans or Havanna Pitbulls. [7.0] "Rocky is deceiving with his upbeat and often goofy persona, since there's actually a very good worker behind all that. In his early days he did a great job playing a straight "shooter" with a more strict striking-and-grappling approach. Not only was his technique on point, but he came across well with his 'cold' expressions, making him feel like a little killer. He's obviously massively lightened up since his earlier days, now featuring a lot more high-flying spots plus some more comedic-based spots (which thankfully always maintained a good sense of realism). He's now at the point where he's incredibly endearing for how positive he is while still showing off convincing offence. He's primarily become known for his strong tag-team performances, but he's also proven to be a very good singles wrestler when given the chance to show that. He may not be any sort of totally great wrestler, but he's thoroughly enjoyable to watch."

Edit: My original rating for Romero was a 6, but I must change it to an 8. His in-ring skills are certainly much better, and his most recent NJPW stint shows that he can still run with the best."

A mainstay of the Ring of Honor's tag division for over a decade, he's won gold with a multitude of partners including Ricky Reyes (as the Havana Pitbulls), Davey Richards (as part of the No Remorse Corps) and Alex Koslov (as Forever Hooligans), while also winning titles in NJPW and CMLL. After Alex Koslov went on hiatus in early 2015, Romero began building yet another tag team legacy with Beretta as Roppongi Vice, which has already enjoyed featured roles on both sides of the Pacific. Wie zb. bei RPW gegen Will Osprey. Dazu hat er meiner ansicht nach ziemlich viel Charisma! Echt Guter Worker!"
[3.0] "Also er wirkt alleine Farblos und scheint als Komplett-Paket nur dann aufzufallen, wenn er in einem Team oder Stable auftritt! Wenn man ihn nämlich im Singles-Bereich sieht, kommt er zu oft mit seinem merkwürdigen Ausspruch "Asuka", und wirkt wie ein ungläubige Mischung aus Rick Rude und Eddie Guerrero mit einer kräftigen Prise Disco Inferno! Mehr Kraft und weniger Show, vor allen Dingen KEIN "Asuka" mehr, wäre echt hilfreich!"

[7.0] "Im Ring über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Zu seinen RoH Zeiten kann ich nichts sagen aber als Black Tiger gefällt er mir sehr, was auch daran liegt, dass ich das Gimmick an sich gut finde. Bei der AAA in Ordnung aber ich würde ihn schon gerne mal wieder dauerhaft in den Staaten sehen."

[8.0] "Der dritte Black Tiger. Zu Beginn mit Reyes noch relativ farblos aber als er zu den NRC wechselte gefiel er mir immer besser. Ein guter Submissionwrestler der auch noch recht stiff worken kann. Würde mich wirklich freuen ihn wieder öfter bei ROH zu sehen. Sein Wrestlingstil sagt mir sehr zu da stört es auch nicht weiter das er glaub ich nur 1-2 mal nen Mirko in der Hand hatte."
[8.0] "Rocky Romero ist der Grund wieso die Havana Pitbulls meistens gebookt wurden, eindeutig der bessere der beiden. Insgesamt finde ich ihn persönlich sowieso klasse, da er so ein harter Hund ist. Dennoch ist er nicht überragend, 8 Punkte würde ich ihm deshalb geben."
[8.0] "Rocky gefällt mir richtig gut. Ich mag seinen Stil im Ring, seine Kicks und all seine anderen Moves. Wrestlerisch richtg gut, schön schnell und technisch auf sehr hohem Level. Sein Auftreten und sein Look sind auch ganz gut. In Japan oder im Team mit Davey Richards immer erster Sahne."
[8.0] "Rocky hat sich sehr gut weiterentwickelt - durch die Aufnahme in die NRC begann sein Durchbruch. Zeigt auch gutes Wrestling - sehr viel Submission ist immer gut - und hat ein cooles Gimmick."

Toller Wrestling Stil, der von Schnelligkeit und der Technik lebt, scheut sich aber auch nicht davor mal zuzutreten. Romero ist ein charismatisches Talent, das aber dennoch einige Feinheiten lernen muss."
