[6.0] "Before I glow, the name "Giant Kimala/Kamala II is a bunchacrap, his other names (Uganda, The Botswana Beast, even Mambo Warrior) were better. I've also only seen a small blip of his work in Japan. Anyway, when Kamala would balk at a low level payoff, this guy would take anything and was definitely passable wrestling. Surprisingly quite good actually. Exceptionally nimble for his girth. Had some good looking chops and kicks (quite different from Kamala original). Had a great running senton, some nifty dropkick-esque maneuvers and a cool flying double chop as well. Able to work fairly well with others and was giving every time he needed to be. Despite my positive review, he's no more than a 5.5."
Considering he was a blatant Kamala clone, I always found his work to be pretty entertaining. Surprisingly mobile and agile for a 400 pounder, he was throwing dropkicks, rolling sentons, and a pretty impressive top rope splash. When I really started getting into All Japan way back when, I was surprised by how successful he had been in AJPW. He worked in AJPW (and later IWA Japan) for over a decade, forming memorable teams with Abdullah and Jun Izumida, among others. As his partner, Izumida went so far as to don the face/body paint and loin cloth, you can't help but get a kick out of that visual. I couldn't disagree more with some of the low ratings on here. Obviously someone calling themselves "Giant Kimala 2" never set out to be the second coming of Lou Thesz. But he made the most of what he had to work with and consistently put on entertaining matches, particularly in tags or six-mans. In singles he was usually best served by going in there and just eating up a preliminary guy in short order, hitting his monster splash from the top, wham bam thank you ma'am, 1.2.3... He often provided some lighthearted comedy to a product that was, for the most part, presented as serious athletic competition. Not a bad thing in my opinion. Although the original Kamala no doubt did a better job of actually working the gimmick, Kimala 2 was a good big man and memorable monster in his own right. Easily a 6/10 in my opinion, maybe even a 7 when comparing him to the majority of modern wrestlers"
[2.0] "When you are the Great Value brand version of a more famous wrestler who could barely put together a match in his own right? Yeah, that's Giant Kimala."
[4.0] "Giant Kimala has had some success in Japan, while being quite limited due to his size. He wasn't particularly good as an in-ring performer, but he was quite an impressive big guy who often contrasted with smaller rivals. 4 points."
[6.0] "Honestly I always thought he was better than the original Kamala, he laid it in more and moved a bit better, Giant Kimala 2 wasn't going to set the world on fire but he's fun enough in tag matches."
[3.0] "Kimala is unfortunately the downside to AJPW's amazing gajin roster: for every Hansen or Williams, you get a half dozen of guys like Kimala and Johnny Ace: guys who get employed purely for look and for being able to wrestle even somewhat competently. Unlike Ace, whom could be carried to pretty strong matches as long as everyone else knew what they were doing and he had everything paced out, Kimala was always destined to be the lower end of the card, usually being in comedy bouts but got semi-legit pushes when it came to stuff like the Real World Tag League and whatnot, usually getting some wins but never being anything beyond a attraction, mostly just a budget Kamala that had maybe a dozen moves. He can wrestle a safe, basic style but it isn't engaging or unique in anyway."
[7.0] "giant kimala ii, giant kimala ii is good. giant kimala ii goes "KIMALA! " and it's good. he does a good senton, he does a good splash. he does a good belly slap. giant kimala ii is good. (ok on a serious note watch his match vs. RVD at ECW it's really good)"
[0.0] "Giant Kimala II is an terrible wrestler, simply terrible. His selling is absurdly awful, his ring-skills are something that make me wanna blind myself with my own fingers. I don't even know why AJPW signed this guy, he's just horrible."
[8.0] "This is my book report on Giant Kimala 2. Giant Kimala 2 is a professional wrestler. Giant Kimala 2 was the second edition of Giant Kimala, and he was also giant. He fought Giant Baba a lot and also other wrestlers. One time he faced Giant Baba and worked over the leg. I thought this went on a bit long. But then Giant Baba hit a DDT on him and pinned him to win a match. I thought this was exciting. In conclusion, Giant Kimala 2 is an example of compare and contrast. Thank you for reading my book report."
[0.0] "Terrible wrestler! He's a spin-off of Kamala. Kamala can kick his butt any day. Watched him on Youtube and can't even fight using only his head, feet. arms or belly to hit an opponent. That's not exciting. One of the matches I watched he was fighting with Miguel Perez and Perez was way better than him. Perez lost the match because of Kimiala's gut bust. Not wonder he didn't last long in wrestling because he was horrible. Thank god WWE never signed him or wanted him to wreslte in their company. Just HORRIBLE! One of the worst wrestlers in the world."
