[9.0] "As someone whose recently went back and did a full rewatch, Pittman was one of my favorite acts in early Nitro. The battering ram finisher was so absurd but over with me!"

[5.0] "Don't ask me why, but I just spent the last 43 days doing a daily fact about our Sgt. Craig Pittman here, and through it I've learned so much about a man who contributed so little to the business. He's one of those classic wrestlers who claims he was meant to be huge, and admittedly during 1995 he really did command that, but as soon as the Monday Night Wars kicked off, it was clear he was just not built for the wrestling main event, despite him claiming in many interviews he was positioned by Bischoff and Flair to be the next big thing. Despite saying he helped train Goldberg and worked with HHH and inspired Sting and Owen Hart, and despite rumours he was meant to be the big UFC signing from wrestling before Haku declined and Severn got taken, he was not anything special in the ring. His character was just a military guy, his feuds were just big face and some impact, and his wrestling was headbutts, big strikes and the Code Red, and above that, not much else. He did proper MMA and fought Karelin and did Vale Tudo and all this other stuff in Kuwait (and he also claims he was particularly enjoyed by Saddam Hussein! ), and I think if he had stuck with his amateur background rather than professional wrestling, maybe he would have contributed more overall, but he came in at the wrong time, got left behind quite fairly by the fast moving business, and then got spat out with nothing much after his WCW career floundered. Apparently he did pretty well as a corrections officer and sheriff in his retirement days, and for giving me a month and a half of entertainment he's worth that much, and hey, he had more WCW world title matches than Eddie Guerrero, Vince Russo or Alex Wright, so maybe he is just a special little nugget of 90s history. Or maybe I've had my brain so very warped that it's become almost entirely Sgt. Craig Pittman. Who can say for sure?"

But when they NEVER improve, AT ALL...you want to get behind them n push em offa cliff. Craig had a few decent moves, some alright expressions and the idea wasn't bad on paper. But he was sometimes just straight up awful. Poor dude, just not the business for him."

[3.0] "The sadistic drill sergeant gimmick Pittman used could've had potential, but he lacked skills. In the ring, he was a pretty generic mat wrestler, nothing special. Out of the ring he lacked mic skills. He started late – he was well into his mid-30s during his WCW run."
