[10.0] "Criminally underrated. Manny was a standout when I first started watching in The Golden Era of the mid-80s. Now, in 2025, I'm rewatching NWA of the mid-80s and he's still a standout. His agility is better than anyone else in the NWA of this era. It's really outstanding considering his size -- he wasn't thin. He had a nice, stocky build but moved around like a lightweight at times. His promos were always rapid and articulate, as well. Easily one of the best wrestlers of this era."

[8.0] "Edited for mild point embellishments, even though I'm knocking him more...whatever: Rather fun to watch talent from the 80's, there isn't much documentation of his stuff post '89ish, which is good - because he was terrible by then. While the ring work was super great for the time/Crockett territory, his promos often deteriorated into near unintelligible gibberish with spit flying everywhere. In fact; those slobber flingin' promos kind of drag him down, even at his in ring peak. In the ring he delivered with gusto; explosive and consistently fast paced, a bit of a trail blazer in such regards. Could bring the crowd to a frenzy regardless of the side he was on. Very satisfying work as both squeaky clean baby face and a dastardly heel. GREAT team with Rick Rude, that's my fav stuff of his. 7.75 rounded up. The promos can get... yikes."
