[2.0] "It's impressive how fast he can run, but unfortunately being a good wrestler is much more than being a fast runner. He also has no charisma or aura to speak of. There's a reason why people call him an Ospreay clone on Twitter. He is what Will Ospreay haters think Ospreay wrestles like."

[6.0] "Callum Newman isn't it brother, as even though he isn't the worst in the world, in terms of a hopeful Will Ospreay replacement, he's extremely off what NJPW want him to be. Therefore, ranking Newman outside of the obvious Ospreay replacement is very difficult, (he practically has the same moves ffs), but there's still nothing to really get excited about. Newman is relatively emotionless, uninteresting and overall kinda bland, practically a far cry from Ospreay in 2016. This ranking could very very premature tho, as there's still time for something to change, but as of now there's just not a lot to get excited about, if you want another wrestler for Ospreay-comparisons, you're better off looking at TJP or Francesco Akira. :/"

[7.0] "Callum Newman, if he stays healthy, will be a very good wrestler. He isn't there yet, but eventually I will probably be ranking him an 8 or 9. He got a lot of inspiration and mentoring by one of the best in Will Ospreay.. He is just 22. Being in a group like United Empire can only help him. The G1 Climax was a good vehicle for him. Hopefully he can build on that momentum. I would like him to also improve in his character and promo work. Being a gaijin does have some advantages as wrestlers such as Prince Devitt, Kenny Omega, AJ Styles, and Will Ospreay were hugely popular in Japan, but their wrestling and promo work helped get them there."

He clearly takes a lot of inspiration from Will Ospreay, which I have nothing against, but the lack of selling and the bad executed moves pisses me off big time."

It's a nice gimmick to have, but it doesn't make his matches any different than other Ospreay-lite wrestlers. Maybe he becomes more dynamic as time comes on."

In multi man tags he seems to bring a different level of energy to the proceedings. He enters and the action picks up. I would have given him about a 4 or 5 just a few months ago and now was thinking between 7 and 8. Im rounding up to 8 because of his age, potential, and rate of improvement."

I get a lot of people see him as the one to eat pins at the moment, which is fair, but I seriously think within the next few years we're gonna be looking at an absolute star. So much fun to watch, and as he gets more experience, he's only going to get better."

Luckily for him he's in New Japan which is the best promotion to improve and maybe become a bigger star someday. But for now he lacks charisma or any character direction and what he has showed in the ring is alright but pretty generic. A lot of work to do."

He has all the tools of a top name in the Junior Heavyweight division - which is always in need of new stars. Currently, he exists to help bolster the numbers of the United Empire, take the falls in multi-man tag team matches, and improve to showcase himself in Best of the Super Juniors 2024."

Da ist noch viel Luft nach oben und ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob er in allen Bereichen noch was verbessern kann."
