[8.0] "A top of this world talent with a 'wait and see' lid placed on her potential as her booking is hopefully good on the main roster. Regardless, in her time across Stardom, AEW, and NXT she has really come a long wsy to shoe she's one of the very best in the world. She is, now will her career live up to such a lofty truth? Who knows, so, like I said, wait and see."
[10.0] "Blake is insanely talented. Since the days of when she was sitting in the crowd and watching PLEs, and workikg for wwe shop, she was always a bright and beautiful girl, when she joined the business, everyone realized that she is not just another pretty face but she's an incredible wrestler. Her career in stardom was proficient, she exceeded expectations, her feud with toni storm really put her on the map with her ruthlessness and aggression, which today's wrestlers lack a lot. Joining NXT, loved watching her sadly her title reign was cut short due to a botched finished but nonetheless now that she's on smacjdown and feuding with Giulia, I have no doubts that she will be making waves in the international wrestling community again. Whether it's in ring skills, promo skills, acting skills, selling, it does not matter because Blake is put of this world for every single categories you put her in. She oozes of Charisma and a history maker. She's already a very influential figure in the world in professional wrestling, she will definitely be a wrestling legend in the future. I really hope that wwe feeds her as much as they can so she can grow into the massive megastar that she's meant to be. Blake will one day be in the greatests list conversation and I cannot wait to watch her grow, I plead with fans to rally behind her and support her. She is definitely someone to look out for, she has that anger and wants more. She has insane passion for this industry, the wrestling industry is very lucky to have someone as passionate and talented as Blake, her resilience, versatility and consistency never fails to impress all of us. All the hirls on main roster should be on notice because Blake Monroe is not here to sit arround, Blake is here to take over."
[8.0] "Blake Monroe is a very capable wrestler, but what makes her stand out goes beyond her actual ring work. She's technically solid, has a well-rounded moveset, and tends to deliver when she's given a big PPV match. But where she really excels is in her character work and in-ring psychology. She plays the cowardly, self-important heel extremely well, and it comes across so naturally that even the smaller mannerisms and reactions feel like part of the character rather than someone consciously trying to "act" like a heel. She also has a great, distinctive look that immediately makes her stand out. Her promos range from okay to genuinely good depending on who you ask, but her delivery is at least memorable. She sometimes uses this slow, exaggerated, almost regal way of speaking that can sound unusual, but I actually think it suits her heel character. It gives her a personality beyond simply being another wrestler who can cut a competent promo. What's strange is the trajectory of her career. She went from being a major talent in AEW, to an upper-midcarder in NXT, to... whatever WWE is doing with her now. That's frustrating because Blake seems to put everything she has into whatever she's given. Her acting is convincing, her ring work is solid, she understands psychology, and she has enough personality and visual presence to make relatively simple material entertaining. The problem is that she's the kind of wrestler who benefits from booking that actually understands what makes her interesting. If WWE doesn't tailor her presentation to those strengths, I can easily see her getting lost in the shuffle. Instead of being perceived as something genuinely special, she risks becoming "that interesting British blonde who can work, " which undersells what she actually brings to the table."
[9.0] "blake monroe/mariah may is generational talent that both aew and wwe had/have no idea what to do with. in aew, she did get a huge, and the best women's, story ever with fantastic matches with toni storm, but when toni took her break after mariah won the world title from her, it's like tony khan's brain shut off and didn't even know HOW to book her. she missed a lot of ppvs for whatever fucking reason and got very lackluster opponents (like why on earth is thunder rosa still getting title opportunities? ) and poorly produced matches. it's because tony doesn't give a shit whenever a woman who isn't toni or mercedes has a big push. it's like he just kills all of someone's momentum to put the titles back on his two favorites. even though her world title reign was two packs of ass, she at least went out of aew with a bang by having one of the greatest women's matches ever. you'd think wwe would've saw how incompetent aew was at handling her and would've done something about that right? haha, of course not! they put her in nxt with like no plans whatsoever. she pinned the nxt women's champion on her first match in wwe and got NO TITLE SHOT from it. yeah she turned heel the next day and jacy was a heel too, but WHY would you have her pin a champion if you're just not going to do anything with that? it all gets worse from here. they decide to put her in the midcard title scene and have a fun rivalry with zaruca but then thea hail accidentally pins her on a random episode of nxt (not blaming her at all, the incident was an unfortunate accident) and they book a rematch with thea on new year's evil so all will be corrected... well no... instead of doing that match to get blake her title back, they instead write her off of new year's evil? and give the title to izzi dame instead? WHAT? then she gets stuck in a feud with JAIDA PARKER for like a month until FINALLY she gets something of substance which was a feud with tatum paxley. that feud was arguably her best work in wwe so far and she went out of nxt with a banger coffin match. so she gets called up to the main roster.... WITH ZERO PLANS. week after week after week, blake gets video package after video package saying, "the glamour is coming to smackdown" AND IT GOES ON FOR AT LEAST 2 MONTHS. so fast forward and she FINALLY debuts on a fucking taped show and attacks giulia, seemingly rekindling an old stardom match from 3 years ago... or at least we THOUGHT, but no, now she's currently stuck in backstage segments taking out women one at a time once a week. it has been 3 fucking months since she had a goddamn televised match. 3 MONTHS. she was SUPPOSED to get a title shot against tiffany at summerslam, but the incompetent dickwads in charge of wwe creative decided that just made TOO much sense and completely scrapped it in favor of tiffany, THE REIGNING US CHAMP MIND YOU, be apart of the women's interim championship ladder match. WHY? what the actual FUCK are they doing with blake? i seriously cannot believe wwe is doing a worse job at booking her than aew did. do you know how fucking idiotic you have to be to fumble talent like her? apparently having triple h as your favorite wrestler doesn't do jack shit for you. she is desperately needed weekly in ring on that cesspool that is smackdown, but we have to make room for fucking chelsea green and nia jax graps am i right? blake monroe is the whole package. i had the privilege of meeting her last year during evolution and she was one of the sweetest human beings ever, so seeing her get absolutely fumbled right before our eyes AGAIN, but somehow even WORSE than last time, truly saddens me to my core. she deserves so much better than this."
[4.0] "She's had a quick fall off of a cliff in her career since joining NXT. Her character work is an embarrassing attempt to be Toni Storm, her in ring work is WWE paint-by-numbers style which means it's sterile and uninspired and and she has been a completely inconsequential part of the roster since joining. She went from what is considered one of the best rivalries on the past decade, male or female, to giving dog shit promos that include, but are not limited to, body shaming."
[2.0] "Possibly the most obvious case of hype blinding the audience, the wrestler formerly known as Mariah May can work and take bumps but the overall result is at best a throwback to the divas era...This is the lanky and less athletic version of Tiffany Stratton."
[5.0] "She has had better "so far" matches in WWE than all of her career prior to that however she is still an average worker in the ring . As a character she has nothing to offer from what I have seen but she is still relatively new"
[9.0] "Blake Monroe is not only just a great wrestler overall, but she has one of the best characters in women's wrestling. I love her work as the glamour Mariah May in AEW and the woman from hell stuff in NXT was good too. She's had what might be my favorite women's feud in years with Toni Storm."
[8.0] "She's a fantastic actress, great on the mic, and not bad in the ring. That's all true of Blake. I really enjoyed her time in Stardom, her run in AEW, and now her work in WWE, where she's clearly destined for greatness. The gimmick is appealing, and she's clearly the best fit for their product."
"been following her career since aew and have absolutely loved her work, especially the whole feud with toni storm (and that hollywood ending match was just the icing on the cake AND the cherry on top) plus learning more about her backstory pre-aew and all the shit she had to go through to get to where she is now only made me even more of a fan than i already was; though her booking as of right now in nxt is a little rusty i still have more than enough faith in her as the future of the women's division, and i know she'll be nxt women's champion in the coming months"
[9.0] "Watched her since Stardom and I instantly knew it was a matter of time when WWE or AEW would come calling. She had the best women's feud for the last decade and alongside the best women's match of this last decade with Toni Storm. A former North American Champion in NXT, but the women's championship will be in her sight in the next year. There's no rush for her to be on the main roster despite their struggles. Her, Kendal, Jaida, Kelani are the future of the division. The woman from hell character was some of the best work I've seen!"
[8.0] "Huge fan of Mariah May's work in AEW with Timeless Toni Storm, and the work she's put in has paid off now that she's made her way to the big leagues in world wrestling entertainment as Blake Monroe - definitely one to keep an eye on, as WWE's women's division quickly becomes the best"
[9.0] "I am a big fan of Mariah/Blake, one of the things I appreciate the most about any performer is that they try to get any storyline they're given over, and she goes above and beyond every single time even when the material isn't that good. I hope to see big things in her future down the road because she gets the wrestling business."
[6.0] "I saw some of her work when she was floating around AEW; however, since jumping ship, she has been alright, most commonly beating jobbers or needing to cheat to win. Already becoming bland, especially for someone who has just won gold straight away. I do like her glamorous entrance; it was very well represented. Decent on the microphone as well. I might need to see more before making any final comments; might have the return back to this review."
[5.0] "A flash in the pan at this point. She hit some pretty great heights in Stardom and AEW, but has plummeted since joining WWE. All the hype she built up was reduced very quickly. From the start of 2025 to now is a very stark difference, to say the least. Still was involved in one of my favorite matches and feuds of the year, and I hope she's able to find herself once again."
[10.0] "I've seen enough, she is excellent in the ring. She is so comfortable and so direct with her moves. So far has been able to make every match she's been in a must see match. I can't wait to see how she progresses in wwe."
[10.0] "Blake Monroe Is future of wrestling proud of her future wwe women's champion long Live the glamour..... What a star at age 27 the future is bright with Blake Monroe real role model for everyone to follow their dreams"
[10.0] "Blake Monroe/Mariah May is the definition of a star, she's proved herself everywhere she's been so far. From showing out on the UK indies, to making a name for herself in Stardom, to signing with AEW and now WWE. She's truly inspiring, this was her dream and she dedicated her life to get here. I immediately became a fan of her once she debuted on Dynamite, her charisma, her look, her character work, her ring work is good, she's believable, I truly believed she was a horrible human being. She had one of the best modern storylines with Toni Storm those two were perfect for each other and pulled off an excellent story together along with RJ City. She's a fantastic heel, I enjoyed her heel work in vignettes, promos and during matches like at ALL IN with the infamous slap to her own mother, or taking Papa Rosa's cane at World's End, are just some examples. In WWE, she just had her first great match on WWE against Jordynne Grace at Heatwave where I feel like she got to showcase her talent for the first time in a competitive 1v1 setting, and she's just getting started. I think she will be one of the important pieces of the future WWE women's division, she's got it."
[6.0] "I've been following her run in NXT and unfortunately, as I expected, her success in AEW was almost entirely thanks to Shirakawa and Storm. In the ring she's nothing special; good on the mic (as a heel), but she still needs strong opponents or else things risk falling apart. They paired her with Grace and now she's feuding with her, which is the right choice, but I don't know how long she can keep going with this little game. She's 27 and still has room to grow, but right now she's NXT-level material and nothing more. She needs to learn to stand on her own two feet."
[3.0] "Blake Monroe might have the look, the gear, and the Instagram poses, but none of it feels like her own. Watching her wrestle is like flipping channels between Toni Storm and Tiffany Stratton -- except she's stuck on "bootleg mode." She's got Toni's "rockstar rebel" swagger but without the effortless charisma, and she's got Tiffany's glam-girl persona but without the timing, wit, or presence to pull it off. In the ring, her moves feel rehearsed instead of reactive, like she's more focused on remembering someone else's playbook than telling her own story. The mic work? More like karaoke night with someone reading from a script they didn't write. Instead of carving out her own niche, Monroe is content to be a patchwork version of two women who already do everything she's trying -- and do it leagues better. At the end of the day, Blake Monroe isn't bringing anything fresh to the table; she's just reheating someone else's leftovers and hoping no one notices."
[8.0] "I see her as I see Mina someone whom i see has some who has peeked yes she has that one classic match with Toni. Mina does not have that classic match outside of that they both huge consistency issues, output wise"
[4.0] "I think she's pretty overrated. She had, what, maybe 4 or 5 matches that were noteable and worth watching? And three of them were against Toni Storm. I'm not gonna say Toni carried the story, but she definitely helped it more than Mariah did. The fact that as soon as Toni went away for a whole and Mariah had her title reign, it was very uninteresting and kinda bad at certain points. She's alright in the ring but doesn't really stand out. She's got decent enough character work but doesn't really stand out. Nothing about her really stands out. She is young and has plenty of time to improve, and I hope she does. I'm happy for her that she's "home" and wish her the best."
[10.0] "Edit from previous 9 rate in 04/06/2025: i think that heel turn at Evolution 2 was the icing on the cake for a 10, Blake has a great in ring ability, her run on AEW was absolutly increable, awesome matches, awesome gimmick both in WWE and AEW, awesome theme song again in WWE and AEW, simply amazing. His mic skills are also great, his way of selling the moves reminds me of Maryse, she nail being both babyface and heel"
[8.0] "Mariah has some of the most upside in pro wrestling. At her young age she already has the best women's storyline and match in American wrestling history. Very talented and has a great look"
[10.0] "When she debuted in AEW I didn't know much of her, then finding out she made her name for herself major in Stardom I realized how big of a deal she is, and then, wow, the career and literally everything she did in AEW was just perfection man. She can wrestle, talk so well on the mic, she has the entire package, personality, she is a massive draw. With her incredible feud with Toni Storm was just everything the women's division needed with AEW, they were literally carrying PPV's almost all the time when they were booked. The Hollywood Ending was just how Storm would say, CINEMA! Buuuttt now. She no longer there anymore, she moved up, big times. She has finally debuted in the WWE in NXT. Mind you she had 100 out of her about to near hit only 200 matches, were in Stardom, like the amount of praise with the hype she carriers with not even 200 matches is crazy to me, unreal. We all are waiting now for her to become NXT Women's Champion sooner than later of course. The dream matches that we can only imagine now within NXT and the WWE main roster of the women's division on Raw & Smackdown. Big things to come for Mariah May, I also don't want damn TKO or whoever that wants to change her name, she should be allowed and no reason to not keep it, if not, it is what it is, just hope she gets the proper treatment that we believe she does deserve."
"Everything is pointing to WWE wanting to change her ring name; let's hope it's something good. As for Mariah herself, it'll be interesting to see what she'll do in North America without Toni and Tony. She kinda looked a bit similar to Stratton last night; I hope her gimmick and character doesn't become a copy/paste of Tiffy's because I know she can be more than that. Welcome to your dream promotion, Mariah!"
[9.0] "My wife is raging. My feelings are complex. I'm not even a fan and Mariah can generate this much...emotion. She was a star in AEW. She'll be a legend in the Fed. Tony Storm's masterpiece. And now, that character is completed with the final betrayal. What if Luke had stabbed Leia in the back or if Sam had stolen the ring? There's a tragic beauty in this. Pain. In a world of fake, real hearts are breaking. And Mariah's may be one of them. This couldn't have been an easy decision. Tony Khan gave her everything. And she took it all and walked away for more. Now, we'll find out if it was for the money, for the culture, or if it really was all about Mariah."
[10.0] "One of my favorite talents in aew Mariah May is an absolute menace on the mic her promos are insanely good she is the perfect heel. And is very good in the ring she is an excellent story teller from start to finish I've been following her before she became a wrestler and was a YouTuber creating wrestling content I am extremely proud of her she deserves it and hopefully gets to fulfill her dream to go wrestle for wwe."
[9.0] "Mariah had a good starter career in Stardom & then quickly conquered everything that AEW had to offer. She's now expected to move to WWE, which is where the true test will begin. That said, I feel like she's still at the very beginning of her career. I'm hoping she can make waves in WWE, where there is much more room to dive into more stories. I don't want to take anything away from her program in AEW with Toni. It was probably the best story from AEW's women in that company's history. But the problem for Mariah is that there was nothing for her to do there once that concluded, as Tony Khan had not built up anyone else for her to work with. Mariah is good in the ring & has the ability to make some good memories in this business, so long as she has people to work with."
[10.0] "Mariah is unbelievable! Her career has just gone from strength to strength since I first saw her in Stardom, and through an all-timer feud with Toni Storm (solidifed by an all-timer Hollywood Ending! ) she has established herself as one of the premiere wrestlers in the world today. Awesomely compelling on the mic and in the ring, Mariah rules, and I cannot wait to see where she goes from here!"
[10.0] "She's a wrestling prodigy, a standout in this century. Her talent in the ring is undeniable, matched by exceptional mic skills and a captivating charisma. This combination makes her a force to be reckoned with. Her acting and storyline prowess, especially alongside Toni Storm, elevates their narratives to new heights. Their chemistry is electric, showcasing her ability to deliver compelling performances. She's not just a wrestler; she's a gifted entertainer, weaving stories with skill and passion. Her potential is immense, marking her as a future icon in the world of professional wrestling."
[8.0] "Mariah May plays the best "bitch" in wrestling. IMO she's a better version of Liv Morgan, a harder hitter, better promo's, and better in the ring."
[10.0] "Edit: I freaking LOVE this woman. I am giving her the full 10 here. She is an ABSOLUTE star, and she makes for an entertaining & compelling villain. AEW struck gold by pushing her to the moon, and committing with Mariah since Day 1. Now here is the rest of my old review that I made earlier this year. Honestly, Mariah May seems to be good in the ring from the limited matches/highlights that I've seen from her on YouTube and Twitter since summer 2019. I particularly like the execution of her Springboard Miissile Dropkick (off the corner) as an example off the top of my head. I'd like to see Mariah compete in WWE or in AEW some day. EDIT: I made my original review for Mariah May back on August 28th, 2022. I freaking LOVE Mariah now! She is THE full package. Mariah is pretty damn good in the ring. She is a really good talker. She definitely oozes charisma. She has a lot of personality, and she shines brightly as a character with Toni Storm. She is one of the hottest acts in the AEW women's division. She also has an excellent look too! Mariah May is secretly one of AEW's best hires on the women's side over the last 2 years (along with Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone). I am bumping my original rating from a 7 to a JUSTIFIED 9 here. I would not even be surprised if I give Mariah the full 10 within the next couple of years at this rate (which I eventually did several months later)."
[9.0] "Mariah May is more than just a pretty face. She's an exceptionally good wrestler as well. And since joining AEW last year, she has impressed us with her wrestling prowess, as well as her promotional skills. Also, who could forget that storyline she had with "Timeless" Toni Storm?"
[9.0] "She is a great wrestler and has improved greatly since coming into AEW. She and Toni Storm have one of the greatest women's stories in AEW. Her mic skills improved and she still young talent wise."
[8.0] "Mariah May is a good wrestler. She has improved a lot since coming to AEW. Do I think she really is the best in AEW? No, However top 3....yes. Has great promo skills. Solid wrestling work and very charismatic. Her feud with Toni Storm has been great. Hoping her to rid AEW of Toni and her terrible overacting.. I think putting the title on her so new to the company has been more strategic as I expect Jaymie Hayter is being setup to take that title back, which would be "best for business." However, Mariah May has a bright future in wrestling."
"[8.0] Shes great, genuinely one of my favorites to watch at the moment, probably has my favorite segment of the year and rivalry of the year with Toni Storm shes a Great promo and has a great confident look but she can definitely in prove in the ring, I say give it a year and shell be one of the best female wrestlers on the planet"
[7.0] "Mariah May is awesome, she's a quick learner, was born to be a star, has the business in her hands, the way she quickly fit in so well in AEW is impressive, never looked to have a trouble adapting, she is a really valuable asset into any women's division, and is also extremely reliable in the ring, can work incredibly stiff, and carry most of her matches, in the ring and also with the charisma. A perfect mix of talent and personality."
[7.0] "She's solid in the ring, especially for her level of experience. I think she has that presence & charisma that'll make her a star in this business."
[8.0] "Above average worker, needs work on her promo work, mostly just with her breathing and getting her voice under her. She has another gear or two to reach before she really puts it all together, but she's damn entertaining to watch"
"She's extremely talented. Totally immerses herself in whatever she is doing. Solid in ring work. Needs a little work on the mic. Within year she will be top tier"
[9.0] "Mariah May is that bitch! Its crazy to have seen her since 2018-19 when she was recording YouTube videos and talking about wrestling schools and was known as WWE shop girl to now. As an in ring competitor shes improved so much competing on a level many wouldnt have thought of she can have a hard hitting matchup a fast paced one and she knows how to get the crowds on her side she can cut good promos and has a character & personality. She truly is gonna be a star if we cant call her one already."
[7.0] "May has a lot of things going for her. She developed into a very good wrestler during her time in Stardom. She knows how to get a crowd involved in the match and she has pretty good charisma and mic skills to make herself stand out in any women's division. She is still young and she has a lot of time to reach her potential in the business."
[8.0] "An absolute rising star with boundless potential, anyone that doubts her ability should go and watch her epic bout with Giulia. Massively excited to see what she does in AEW as she seems to have come at the perfect time as AEW seem to be investing a lot more time in their womens roster. Wishing her all the best in what im sure will be a generational run! :)"
[5.0] "She looks like a star and carries herself like a star but for me she needs a lot of work in terms of in ring skill. She has improved since being in Stardom but I feel she is still not on the level of the of the top female wrestlers in Japan or from the UK"
[7.0] "Mariah May have all the tools to be a top star anywhere, she has the personality, charisma and looks, she was a solid wrestler before Stardom but now she's definitely way better, she has improved so much, her being part of Club Venus was really something super useful for her."
"10.0 Stars Mariah May is hands down one of the best up and coming stars , I got to meet her back during the Rumble 2019 and I have been a fan of hers ever since , Living her dream of being a champion in Stardom cant wait to see her take over the world, -Cage211"
