[9.0] "One of my friends recommended checking out Rene Ben Chemoul and he really clicked with me. Rene Ben Chemoul mixes a playfulness and technique that is so amazing, his charisma really pops out of the screen. I still not overly connect and am getting used to French Catch (the show showcasing French promotions from the 1950s to 1980s). Outside of the LunaCatch and pool matches its not something its not something I fully clicked with but, watching Rene Ben Chemoul like Steve Grey in World of Sport has been a great gateway to enjoying more even with matches that don't involve him. My favorite French Catch match ever is him & Gilbert Cesca vs. Anton Tejero & Pancho Zapata from 7/18/65. It feels like a French Midnight Express/FTR (I called the team FrenchTR) and it will probably make GME (Greatest Match Ever) list in two years. I did not rank him higher because of I have only seen 6 of his matches (a lot of the matches are long). We have less than 30 matches of him on tape, I can feel comfortable extrapolating that he was very fun to maybe one of my new favorite wrestlers ever great from the first match I saw of him in from tape 1957 to the last match I saw of him 1978."
[9.0] "His matches are suuuper one-sided, and thus can be a little low-stakes, but the man's like everything great about Antonino Rocca x10, a real life Willy Wonka type who defies all laws of physics and gravity and conducts the crowd like a symphony, he just pops off the screen like nobody else I've ever seen in the history of wrestling. I implore you to check him out."
