However, it always seemed that injuries would interrupt her momentum during her career. Her best year was probably 1998 in ARSION, and at her peak, Candy Okutsu was definitely an excellent wrestler."
[8.0] "Candy Okutsu is one of those wrestlers where you wonder just how far she could have gone if not for being plagued by injuries. I have a real soft spot for ARSION as it was my introduction to the world of joshi and Candy was an immediate standout in a promotion with no shortage of talent. Even though the Tiger Dream gimmick fizzled out, it spoke volumes to me that she was given that role to begin with. She was a great talent that I wish more people today knew about."
[9.0] "One of my favourites from the first couple years of ARSION before she fell victim to the rapidly changing style and then retiring (again) in 2001. The big babyface push early on didn't go down that well from what I've read elsewhere but 1998 Candy was awesome. Mixing her high-flying with the shoot style game, winning the ARS tournament and facing Yoshida to crown the first champ was a real great trajectory for Candy that sadly she never really got back to after that. Her role in CAZAI being elevating AKINO and mainly Ayako was nice though, she kinda filled the gatekeeper role of ushering in the new high flying rookies. Bags of charisma to her, the three faces of Candy was sweet too, even if Tiger Dream and Red Lynx were kinda bad but I'll always have a soft spot for the Red Lynx mask and look. An underrated piece of ARSION and it was very cool to see Mei Hoshizuki recently call her an inspiration. Wish Candy had any sort of contact to the modern world, hope she's living peacefully on a farm somewhere or something."
