[7.0] "Originally written 03/16/25: I really like Wifebeater, but I know it's bad. His matches are generally bad and fun. I feel that they are based a lot on resistance, it makes it slow and not very prominent. And it does not help your arsenal and their rivals be mediocre. His "essence" is bad, his essence of "yes, I'm hard. Yes, I like to insult. Yes, I'm rough. Yes, I'm a redneck" already very used and obsolete. EDIT: I've been reflecting and I think it was very unfair to Wifebeater, I still think his redneck gimmick is bad, his matches are based on giving and receiving a lot of punishment, a true battle of resistance, and to be honest that's what CZW was all about back in 2002 or so, it's a niche type of match but I can still enjoy it. For his time, Beater was an unstoppable force and pretty much in line with what CZW stood for. That raises my rating from a 5 to a 7. I don't know why but I have to end my comment with... THE WIFEBEATER NEVER QUIT."

[9.0] "Wifebeater may not have been the most technical guy, but that didn't matter. His presence alone made up for any technical shortcomings. His bulky bruiser appearance combined with his signature weed whacker made him instantly magnetic in any match. He brought raw brutality and though his career was relatively short, he established himself as a pretty damn good wrestler. Beyond the ring, he was often visibly nervous in post-match interviews, which I find incredibly endearing. This is most evident in the post-match interview after the BJW vs CZW match he did with Nick Gage and Justice Pain against Honma, Yamakawa, and Kasai. Wifebeater was the only bloody one, having committed most of the violence. While Gage and Pain spoke, Wifebeater was between them, fidgeting and looking kind of guilty, almost haunted. His eyes were darting all around and he didn't seem entirely present in the moment. It was moments like these that you could see the man behind the madness. The contrast between his in-ring persona versus his actual self made him all the more compelling. Despite that nervous and guilty demeanor, he really went wild in "I Quit" deathmatches against Zandig. Nothing Zandig did could make the tough bastard say "I quit." Every strike only made Wifebeater more determined, more angry, and more stubborn. I had previously given him a 7, but after studying his "I Quit" matches, he deserves a 9 for the combination of his presence, intimidation factor, willingness to go all out, and his sheer stubborn determination in the face of extreme pain. The Wifebeater truly never quit."

[0.0] "Having John Zandig listed as one of your "trainers" is a hilarious red flag. He could only do one thing. The ultra hardcore, deathmatch style is for people who can't work properly. They have those matches for the sake of having them with no story or purpose as to why it's happening. Total junk, mudshow "wrestler" with a horrible name to boot. It's the kind of thing a 13 year old comes up with as a gamertag when they're left home alone for the first time. He wasn't good in any aspect required to be successful in wrestling. I've only seen 6 matches of his and I only did that to make sure I thought I had enough information to form an opinion. Maybe I missed some mat classic in Hillsview, South Dakota in 2002 so if I did, my apologies."

He mostly traveled around the indies but found a home in Combat Zone Wrestling where he made his name infamous. He had a decent look and when it came to his wrestling he was alright as well. Where he excelled at was bashing people's brains in with chairs and lighttubes. 3x CZW World Champion, 4x CZW Ironman Champion, 1x CZW Tag Team Champion, 1x BJW Tag Team Champion and much more. Despite his wrestling career being relatively short, He managed to write his name down in professional wrestling history as a Deathmatch Legend."

[10.0] "The un-fuck-with-able face of ultraviolent wrestling. When I think disturbing, blood and guts, violent high spots, I tend to think of The Wifebeater before almost anyone else. And he barely ever wrestled, which speaks volumes for the impact he had."

[9.0] "It`s so frustrating to see the same ignorant "he cant wrestle"- comments by the internet "experts" who have never wrestled in their lives and make such blatant exaggerations based on their subjective bias. Most of the time they have never even seen much else than few Youtube videos of the wrestler or promotion they are commenting on. Wifebeater is a deathmatch legend in the east coast who came out of nowhere and in short time build himself as one of the most over and loved characters in the Philly/NJ area. To this day the CZW crowd will chant hes name randomly. He had impressive size and had a great look for independent wrestler. He wrestled some classic wars and won two Tournament of Deaths & was really impressive in Japan working for BJW. If you want to see Wifebeater wrestle regular style watch some of hes matches in Japan where they had many normal singles and tag matches. Hes main focus was the deathmatches. (which seems to be hard to understand for some. ) He did some power moves and brawling, but the whole point of hes character was that he was booked to be almost undefeated tough as leather ex-marine hardcore guy who never talked, but rather just let hes actions do the talking. Hes style was very straight forward, stiff, big bumps, high energy and never backing down. He always delivered. I have never seen a boring deathmatch from Wifebeater thus why so high rating as 9. Along with Necro Butcher and Zandig one of the true masters of the American deathmatch style."

Aber um wirklich einen Eindruck zu hinterlassen fehlen da einfach ein Paar Jahre, ändert aber nichts an der Tatsache das er ein grandioser DM Worker war."
