127.10.2025KaptainCirk2.0As an individual, he didn't do a whole lot. Even as part of his team he was the guy who literally got the table, pantomimed the sign of the cross, and waggled his tongue before putting his face in an opponent's taint. You don't have to go to wrestling school to do that and in fact, Devon was a below average worker and promo. Hew as the Jim Neidhart of his team but with less charisma believability as a tough guy.

321.10.2025ClassyName9.0All-time tag and hardcore great. In house shows, his crowd work was 100x better than the cameras would allow. He's also been a key contributor in some legendary TLC matches that stand the test of time. He and Bubba were electric in ECW. Get the tables.

1222.07.2025Mark4Lyfe7.0A true tag team legend. D-Von was never the flashiest in the ring, but he was consistent, intense, and brought so much credibility to every match he was in. His chemistry with Bubba Ray as the Dudley Boyz is iconic--they helped define an entire era of tag team wrestling. While his singles career was less memorable, his work behind the scenes and as a trainer deserves recognition. Definitely underrated in terms of his overall contribution to the business.

2717.02.2025kaszi2K6.0While sharing many of his partner's qualities of being a forgettable singles wrestler, I personally found D-Von to be the better half of the Dudleys owing to him always doing the little things right in the ring as well as the Reverend character being an opportunity for him to show his range.

3031.01.2025ultravioletshiroi6.0Devon is a solid worker, with a decent moveset. He may be a tag specialist, but he can hold his own in the ring. He mainly loses points for being an overall underwhelming singles competitor, and lacking the charisma and promo skills necessary to be a bigger star.
3114.01.2025jsborts6.0Huge tag team specialist, carried a lot of his matches and did a lot of the good work to position matches in a strong way. Didn't have a lot of variation in terms of character and doesn't have a good catalogue of singles matches, but deserves a lot of credit for being the worker in the group and having a lot of the fundamentals needed to build some of the best tag team matches WWE's ever had (low bar)

3308.01.2025Conquistador379.0D-Von doesn't get enough appreciation for being so fundamentally sound (Johnny Rodz as a trainer is surely to thank). Often glossed over possibly due to that. Although he was never a flashy worker, his spinning back elbow is a thing of beauty and he had perfect timing as well. Committed and credible worker. Under appreciated mic skills, he was completely confident and had a vast array of facial expressions that sold the moment whatever it was. I also feel if D-Von was born 10 to 15 years prior, he would have fit into the golden era perfectly. I wanna circle back to his timing and how that lends itself to re-watchability, even if just to study how solid & dependable his work is. Can't leave a comment without mentioning The Dudley Boys tag team which is a top shelf team in my estimation (duh). Underrated in my book and the older I get, the more I'm constantly rewinding 5-10 seconds just to watch what his feet and arms are doing in regards to what's *about* to happen. 9.25 rounded down.

3624.11.2024crs2857.0Great tag team wrestler. He never had a memorable single run I can recall but he and Bubba were a great tag team across multiple promotions. He could go in the ring and get the crowd excited or heated on the mic.

4027.10.2024Wangler8.0Prior to the PG WWE Dudley's and hailing from the Southside of Dudleyville, the slim, trim and cut D-Von probably had even more heat from the ECW crowds. Gave plenty of abuse back too. The run in and reunion at Survivor Series 2002 is still a great moment, both WM TLC matches classics and the carnage of the first One Night Stand's end brawl a throwback to what the Dud's built careers on. Always found it odd that Bubba had the easier Cutter part of 3D, whilst D-Von did the heavy lifting setup. In a way that perfectly encapsulates the Dudleys. Second in command, yes, but 6.3 is very harsh on one half of one of the most iconic and successful tag teams ever and, by a mile, the best table finder & fetcher in the game. Testify.

7102.09.2023BEER CAT7.0I really don't care if D-Von was a limited sngles wrestler seeing as how he almost never worked singles matches. The more I go back and watch the old stuff, the more I realize what a pure "carpenter" he was. Always in the right position, always working realistically towards the next spot, always selling and working and staying engaged in the moment (this last point is why the Dudleys are so essential and read as such over-acheivers). Mediocre wrestlers more often than not looked good against the Dudleys and D-Von was the biggest part of that equation. I'd love to know what his peers think of him. Anyways, massively underrated for a first-ballot Hall of Fame type.

8620.01.2023benh25.0Wrestled only about 10% of his career matches in singles so it's hard to judge D-Von on that. He was a very good tag wrestler though, underrated in his ability to make a match really good despite the participants not being on that level. Lacked charisma or any decent character work which explains why he never had a notable singles run.
