[4.0] "If I'm rating Luna a 7 & Spitfire a 5, the hammer has to fall somewhere. She has repeatedly shown that her talent at least excels the levels of notably-worse workers like Indi Hartwell, the Iiconics or Xia Brookside, but for her gimmick to be this boring " I'm Kay-Ray-Zee! " thing & to not even meaningfully explore it the way that people like Shotzi Blackheart, Rhea Ripley, or Daffney do/did really isn't very forgivable. For me to ever rate higher, she'd need to focus on improving her character work, because at 37, it's not like she's going to get much better physically. She's not a terrible worker, but being forced to work with Dana Brooke a trillion times throughout 2024 & not being able to stand up & carry Dana to persistently great fare (or literally even one match that I remember in any positive way) really fixes her in this kind of " She's alright, but she's never great" position. Throughout '24, once I saw through this contrived character work, I realized that she's not all that. The " match by elegance" where Dana strikes Jody's skull with a foreign object & Jody doesn't even sell it is fucking awful. Spitfire being made to break up & her response being little more than a bit of shallow melodrama & never touching upon it again is fucking awful. Lars Frederiksen appearing & mentoring Threat+Luna to face each other, only for it to be a snorefest match with an inconclusive ending before Frederiksen absolutely disappeared & it was never touched upon again was fucking awful. Surely, it shouldn't be this difficult to write excellent stuff for a gimmick like this."
"Every time she steps in the ring, she brings this mix of raw power and punk-rock chaos that makes her matches feel different from anyone else on the roster. She's not just another cog in the Knockouts division -- she's got her own vibe, her own presence, and it feels fresh. Online, Jody's just as cool. She's constantly posting gritty training clips, behind-the-scenes photos, and little glimpses of her personality that make you realize she's the real deal, not some over-produced act. She doesn't spam fans with corny promos -- she shares just enough to keep you hooked, and it makes her feel authentic. What I love is that she's carving her own space without the big push or nonstop spotlight some others get. She's out there grinding, connecting, and proving herself match after match. TNA has a gem in Jody, but right now it feels like only the hardcore fans see it. With the right stories and a bigger platform, she could absolutely blow up. To me, she's the definition of underrated."
[7.0] "Jody Threat ticks all of the boxes for me. She has a cool name, a cool look, and isn't afraid to take bumps. She is one of the most underrated female wrestlers of this current era."
[5.0] "She runs to the ring and spins her head really fast before starting a match. She's a competent performer but there's really nothing about her that stands out."
[7.0] "The Wild Child, Jody Threat. She is one for the people! She is high speed, and doesn't slow down too often. Perhaps her only downfall is she only knows two speeds: fast and even faster. She is a hell of a lot of fun to watch and she produces a hell of a match with someone who can match her energy in the ring. Josh Alexander must be a solid trainer because she has improved on screen by miles from when she debuted in TNA until today. THREAT!"
[8.0] "It took me a while to come around on Jody. I get the over the top character is not really for me but the more I've watched her the more I've started to enjoy her. Glad she is getting a shot in a bigger company and hope to see more of her in the future."
[7.0] "She;s looked good in IMPACT so far, and she was always solid when I saw her on BEYOND and those Northeast indies. If IMPACT give her proper build, she can easily become champion in a couple of years."
[6.0] "Jody is fun to watch and has lots of energy. She has the right look to make it, and here is hoping she can do that sooner than later because I suspect she got a bit of a late start in this line of work."
"Great wrestler from Toronto with a great look and great energy. Have seen here at Greektown and Demand a few times and she always kills it. Definitely ready to go big."
[9.0] "Jody is awesome! I've seen her live with Revolver and have seen her multiple times via YouTube, subscriptions to random promotions, etc. She has a cool look and can truly be hard-core if needed as well, great talent."
