122.03.2024Cort3z7.0Why people are still rating this guy for his wwe days (when he hasnt worked there in like 7ish years) is beyond me. But Fred is legit one of the most improved wrestlers since leaving them. His work in NJPW as a wrestler and as a trainer has been very good and i can only see him doing more great things.
217.03.2024TripleCrown4.0Was struggling to choose between 3 and 4. Decided to go with 4 because I think 3 is too low for him, but he's the definition of a generic wrestler. He isn't very good at promos, he doesn't have a look, his ability in-ring is very average, you'd be crazy to think he could put on a 5 star match with anybody. Was the better partner in Prime Time Players, had a really strange gimmick with Bob Backlund. Will give him credit for doing something for himself post WWE, but that's as far as my praise will go. Average wrestler.

411.02.2024justenjoywrestling6.0I'm struggling to understand such a low rating, which I am guessing is from other work he's done which I've not seen. I've seen Rosser wrestle a few times on NJPW Strong and thought he was pretty solid altogether. Certainly better than under a 5.0 that's for sure.

2717.05.2023Anarchkitty8.0At the risk of repeating a lot of other comments here, Fred Rosser has come a long way since the Darren Young days. Solid no bs type wrestler.

2904.05.2023Wrasslinfan6198.0I really enjoyed the PTP, and make Darren Young great again. But now finally he's revitalizing his career and he's become great.

3501.04.2023crs2858.0Did not get a chance to shine in WWE but hit the ground running when he was released. His time working with NJPW on Strong has been a highlight. Hope he stays with NJPW and gets to work with some of their top talent both in the US and in Japan
3612.03.2023StarrySparkz7.0He is a rare example of someone who was very mid in his WWE time, has actually gotten better since joining New Japan. He does solid work in 2023 and could be seen as someone to take note of if he were to work other places outside of New Japan
3702.03.2023Bring It Back7.0Best known to most TV viewers as Darren Young from WWE. Got released from WWE in 2017. He was one-half of the Prime Time Players, a team I grew more disappointed in due to the comedic presentation and losing record. After WWE, Rosser's singles career became more credible with more serious matches. His physical appearance and in-ring performance vastly improved and looked more convincing as a competitor. I'm glad he's signed with a company again and hope he enjoys his time in NJPW.
3819.02.2023CounterCultureCantCount7.0His recent metamorphosis has been nothing short of breathtaking. Who would've thought that jobber Darren Young would turn into a bona-fide badass ?
3919.02.2023Gameplayer5.0
4012.02.2023MrKFG7.0Has come a long way from his WWE days as a Prime Time Player. A very decent technical wrestler and has shown well as NJPW Strong #1 Babyface. Hope that time there gets him a run in New Japan proper as he's definitely deserved it.
4131.01.2023respect-wres8.0Good for him for turning things around so late in his career and for having gotten so much better during the last few years.
4226.01.2023joaosousa206.0
4311.01.2023benh25.0He looked really green back in his WWE days so I was surprised to learn he was wrestling for a long time before that as I'd never heard of him. His work there didn't set the world on fire in the ring and he didn't really have the charisma either. He's really stepped up since popping up in NJPW though and puts on consistently decent matches.
4408.01.2023Paul048.0He has grown so much since the Nexus days, and beating Lawlor for the STRONG Openweight title is a good for him

4930.11.2022BillyGoatUK7.0Since leaving WWE, Fred Rosser (aka Darren Young) has improved in-ring & on the microphone. Good matches on NJPW STRONG have really elevated him, & hopefully he gets & good run with the STRONG openweight belt.
5015.11.2022MainEventMaster8.0He has REALLY improved since leaving WWE, he deserves the Strong Openweight Champion, I wish he would get an opportunity on the big stage again.
5102.11.2022jonsnoe5.0
5213.10.2022PunkPariah6.0Fred has improved so much since parting ways with the WWE, and honestly Im so glad to see it. He may not still be a top tier worker or a killer on the mic, but he has the ability to connect to the fans and that's what made him a staple of NJPW STRONG. Hopefully people continue to realize that he's gotten better.
5302.10.2022Acetylsalicilique6.0
5404.09.2022DammitChrist7.0Yea, Fred Rosser is way better now as a performer than this score currently suggests. He's having a good run on NJPW Strong atm. This dude had an awesome banger against Tom Lawlor a couple of months ago for the NJPW Strong Openweight title, and his mic work is fairly good atm. I might not be a fan of Rosser personally, but the dude should really be reevaluated again in 2022 since he's not the inexperienced (tag) guy from several years ago anymore.
5501.09.2022Klauwis8.0Currently sitting at 4.65, I completely understand why Fred Rosser was slept on by a majority of the IWC. While his work in the WWE was serviceable at best, I think his current run in NJPW (and by extension, his few appearances in the NWA) has shown he made great progress. Sitting as the current NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion, Fred Rosser completely changed himself from his WWE days and greatly elevated his performance. His character as a "tough love locker room leader" is really compelling to follow and make a great contrast compared to the typical baby faces who usually leads a brand. His feud against Tom Lawlor (himself, among my favorites) and his team was also interesting to follow and lead to a great series of matches. While I understand he isn't t to anyone's taste, his great progress as a wrestler is undeniable and Fred Rosser showed to me that he can easily lead the USA branch of NJPW.
5601.08.2022fiction8.0One of the most improved wrestlers of the last few years. Understands the basics of wrestling as a babyface heavyweight at a fundamental level, something of a lost art. A highlight of New Japan Strong more times than not.

5901.07.2022Cakeboyo10.0Mister No days off really fits that trademark/nickname. The man has worked so very hard to make his name in New Japan. And now becoming the new Openweight champ really puts him one step closer to elite status. Hopefully soon we'll be seeing the former Darren Young at the level he was meant to be. Proud of him and can't wait to see NJWP show the world the perfection that is Fred Rosser.

6813.02.2022IFeelLikeAi38.0All I can say is, Wow. I remember seeing Darren Young on NXT Redeption and I thought he was a good hand, definitely a ceiling as a Tag Wrestler. But now, I see him on the Shin Nihon mat, and this guy is a Psycho MadMan! ~ Mr. No Days Off certainly takes his nickname to the Heart, and to all you out there who rate him low, I have but one thing to say to you... #BlocktheHAte. In all seriousness, if you're a fan who didn't like his gimmicks in the NY Fed, you will be in a surprise of your life if you watch him in the ring now; If you want Strongstyle Strikes, he can give you those in spades! But Also, if you want that NOAH Brand of Kings Road Pro, he truly walks the Royal Road, with his Takeshi Morishima slobberknockers. A Multifaceted Athlete. If you step into the squared circle with this Psycho MadMan, and you're not ready, I'm sorry for you.
6918.01.2022texasyosh6.0His work in NJPW Strong is very solid, and I think his rating is very much dated and undeserved. He was put into a box in WWE.

7102.01.2022Sesh8.0Darren Young is a very good wrestler. I like his move-list. He is charismatic even if he has a little less than Titus. I wish he had won a solo title during his wwe run.

8315.06.2021Psycho67.0Mr. No Days Off has seemingly greatly improved from his days in WWE. He was a perfectly fine wrestler before, and now I genuinely look forward to seeing him
8414.06.2021arkhamoutlaw108.0Fred Rosser fka Darren Young is the perfect undercard wrestler, one that any company should be lucky to have. Perfect at 10 minute matches or less, funny, charismatic, good on the mic and is truly one of the most likeable people in the wrestling industry. His work on NXT Season 1 and NJPW Strong is genuinely really good.

8605.05.2021StrongStyle20206.0
8703.05.2021jchiofal7.0Rosser has gotten to show so much more in New Japan . His style doesn't fit as well in Sports Entertainment. In New Japan he's been able to show his skills as a wrestler with an older school style that isn't as common as it was before. NJPW US doesn't have competitors of the same callibre as that of New Japan in Japan, but with time there, he can definitely stand out and kill it. Right now, he's done a good job separating himself from his WWE days.

8908.04.2021pierreMinne6.0Fred Rosser is a good wrestler. Even if I am clearly not a fan when I see WWE matches of him, I can clearly say that outside of WWE, he fits pretty well with some styles and can do good matches. I liked some matches of him in NJPW Strong and he can do a really good job with the NWA style.
