[7.0] "While not the best Joshi wrestler in the company, The Casual Beauty finds herself wedged on a narrow line between brittle excellency and infinite decency. Due to the combination of a semi-limited move set, the lack of a push to the top of the card she gets for a legit gimmick, and set ups for feuds that fall flat, TJPW seems to fail to see how good of a talent for the mean pretty girl heel they have on hand which are the poison laced dagger and silver studded bullet that kill any hope of her being the great wrestlers she could be"
[7.0] "She's nowhere near the big TJPW wrestlers and I think her former/occasional tagmate Maki Itoh is well ahead of her in terms of ring skill, but Kamiyu uses what she has well- a solid "glamorous heel" aura, her above average height and her looks to full advantage. I do sometimes miss old McDonald though."
[8.0] "At a time where TJPW does not have its greatest roster ever, Kamiyu has developed into a really strong heel wrestler and 2023 has been her most complete year to date. She's quite charismatic and has a great look (which is to say that she is beautiful and very aware of that). She's also tall with long legs, which informs her moveset greatly, opting for kicks that keep distance between herself and her opponent and different submissions. Her ring work was actually the only thing she was truly missing for a while, as she has everything else you'd want out of a heel female wrestler in 2023. Because she's lanky, some of her strikes do still look awkward at times, but she's still significantly better than she was in previous years. She's also fluent in English, and while I personally don't think not being able to speak English matters as long as you're good at everything else, the fact that she CAN will help her get over with certain American audiences if she ever opts for a tenure in the United States. If a different company doesn't scoop her up in the next couple of years, I can see her winning the Princess of Princess Championship and having a decent reign with it (assuming TJPW expands their main event scene past Mizuki and Miyu)."
[9.0] "As someone who tends not to enjoy the 'glamorous bully heel' type wrestlers, I didn't think I would enjoy Kamiyu's work when I first saw her. Thankfully characters in TJPW are rarely so one dimensional and Yuki Kamifuku is so much more than she first appears. Kamiyu is a lot of things and all of them inform who she is as a wrestler. She's a statuesque model so her entrance feels like a fashion show and her height plays a huge role in her moveset. She uses her long legs for everything. Big boots, corner chokes, absolutely brutal shotgun dropkicks, a gnarly looking manji stretch and her finisher the Famouser. She can even do that last one on multiple people due to the length of her legs and I honestly don't know how many wrestlers could even pull that off, but Kamiyu does it effortlessly. She does the brainbuster too and I love a good brainbuster. She's also bratty in a really fun way. You'll see new and exciting ways for her to land her eye pokes from match to match and her tag team with the much more sheepish and awkward Mahiro is odd couple style comedy gold. Her improvement from her early days in 2017/2018 is honestly phenomenal and worth highlighting. She has put the work in and while she has always been very charismatic, she's got the in ring skills now to be a real asset to TJPW and I always enjoy her matches. A great worker all around and one of the most underrated joshi working today."
[8.0] "Count me into the group of people who thinks Kamiyu has improved enough to be an 8. I had her at a 7 at the start of last year, but she's made notable improvements in the ring. She's still great in terms of character and charisma, meaning she's become fairly well-rounded. She's not going to wow you with her matches, but she'll find a way to make you care about them."
[8.0] "I was lukewarm on Kamiyu for a long time but she's really improved a lot over the past 12 months. Her character work has been great as she's adopted more of a heel persona and her in-ring work has come along too. She's still not going to put on technical masterpieces but she's developed a solid moveset that compliments her character well, with her brainbuster being a particular highlight. With Saki Akai seemingly having put her Sakisama gimmick on ice for now, Kamiyu has filled the tall, heelish and glamorous void left in the TJPW roster. Looking forward to what she does in 2023."
[8.0] "It's really great to see Kamiyu improve lately. She always had an almost ridiculous amount of charisma, and spoke english fluently which always helps, but for a good bit of time she lacked in-ring skills and character work. But since the beginning of the year, maybe since her match against Veny, it seems like she found what she would be great at. Her heel work is just great, and although she's still limited in the ring her character allows her to work around it, and I easily prefer a wrestler that plays their character well over a bland wrestler who has 600 different moves. Her teams with ASUKA and Mahiro Kiryu, even if they are totally different, both bring something different to the TJPW product, and I hope she'll take the tag titles with one of them in the future."
[8.0] "I think, Yuki did a very good job after winning International title last autumn. Kamiyu improves as a character right now: maybe she is still not a good wrestler, but her heelwork is a fresh air in TJPW."
[7.0] "She is an extremely weak girl in terms of technique and work in the ring. Appearance and heel work clearly negates this, but the lack of emotion does not allow me to put it more than 5, for now."
[6.0] "I think Yuki is one of TJPW's weakest in-ring wrestlers, especially as a striker, but she has an aura to her that I can't really pinpoint and her abdominal stretch submission looks pretty good."
[3.0] "Her character might be not too bad, but her wrestling skills are absolutely horrendous, she has a lot of work to do regarding her in-ring-skills"
[8.0] "She is so unique; really tall for a Joshi wrestler and makes great use of her incredible physique in almost all her moves; the majority of which look amazing. Maybe not the best pure wrestle; but I like so much else about her. Her gimmick is pretty cool, no doubt coming from her time growing-up in the USA. Her legs are just ridiculous and she oozes charisma. I was sad to see 'Old Macdonald had a farm' go but her new entrance music is amazing. Worthy International Princess Champion as well because, like she said, she is the most 'international. ' Randomly; I also love how she dances to her opponents/partners entrance themes."
[4.0] "A 4 on this website is defined as adequate and adequate is what Yuki is. Her English skills open up a lot of avenues for her and I hope I can change this rating in the future, but for now I find her terribly overrated and her wobbly move execution holds even her most skilled opponents to a lower grade. It does not help that she has a similar build to Saki Akai and Kamifuku will always, at least right now, come up short in any comparison of the two."
[6.0] "Decent enough in the ring. Strikes could definitely use some work, but that's sadly to be expected in the modern Joshi scene. She speaks english well, I hope more promotions in the US take a chance on her."
