[7.0] "Fuego is dead. Long live KJ. Dude was a strange lucha. Dude went on mike on GCW and my wife fell in love. I had turned out but I listened. He was good. Clever. Well spoken. Smooth. Who is this? says I. Fuego del Sol says she. And I was like the F you say? What the h is with smooth talking half-ginger lucha? What a strange road to have taken! He's hit rock bottom, tore off the mask and found his nature. Him and Stackhouse building him back up. It's ring rehab. But GCW is the place you go when you got too much fight to sit out contracts. It's a family. You go. You give. We show you the love. KJ Orso has an immediacy and authenticity. He fights like a man who's down to three cigarettes, one bullet, and an empty bottle."
"My Rating: 7.3 Fuego is fun to watch. He has been buried hardcore by the big companies. He had the best match on Janela's Spring break. Cool moves, cool guy. Might not be the most charismatic. I hope he gets another run in the big feds."
[8.0] "Fuego, I hope you read this. The Cogar/Fuego fnial match, was your best match. It was amazing. I have always admired your talents. Very ballsy moves. Not gonna lie, you pulled on my heart strings at the end. Ryan Nemeck and Fuego were both my introduction to AEW in 2019-2020. I hope you don't quit. I think you've found your calling, at last. I hope it's not too late. This whole Cogar/Stackhouse/Fuego rivalry has been awesome, from start to finish. The only thing I will say about Fuego, that I believe is holding him back. 1) His name. It reminds me of those Doritos chips that no one really likes. 2) The costume. The final match costume was pretty amazing. Also, the introduction at the beginning was awesome. With all the other Fuego's doing the Spinnning Tornado DDT fingers. The more I think about it, the more I love the Spinning DDT gimmick. Fuego, this is the longest review I've written on this site. Please don't quit. You've finally got my attention. Go heal up, come back, reinvent yourself, ditch some elements of the costume, maybe go by your real name? Or Fuego Del Taco-Phoenix. Love you man. Hope to see you perform again. That rivalry between you and Atticus, was better than all of Wresltlemania weekend. I even told my wife. lol."
[7.0] "I have a soft spot for Fuego Del Sol and his career. He started off as a YouTuber who would film himself and other kids doing wrestling moves on a trampoline and he managed to turn that into a wrestling career. He has some impressive moves and has had some moments within wrestling like his AEW signing and just recently his match with Zack Sabre Jr. I feel like he could be a somewhat bigger star if he upgraded his attire or somewhat bulked up."
[6.0] "Really goes to show the state of AEW that one of their better talents is a youtuber in a lucha mask. I like Fuego, he's a solid jobber and puts over his opponents well. But he's decent at best. Never was too big on him even back in the days when I was into AEW."
[7.0] "I think Fuego gets a bit too much of an undeserved bad rap for his run with AEW, where he was a perennial jobber, occasional punchline, but most importantly, Sammy Guevara's best friend. It's a damn shame he was never really given a chance to shine on a big stage like AEW because brother, this dude can go. Very crisp, clean lucha fundamentals and a surprisingly solid mat game as well. He can also cut a great plucky babyface promo in the right situations too. But most importantly, he brings a certain kind of special energy that few can. If there was a Mount Rushmore of "Dudes who I would always put in the first match of the show to get everyone in the crowd fired up and ready for a great night" then FDS would absolutely be up there."
[4.0] "Seems like a nice guy and all, but he doesn't have "it." Not saying every wrestler needs to have this element of superstar aura but it's very clear what his ceiling is. He's decent in-ring, wouldn't really say I'd be excited to see him on TV or at a show. Will forever be an undercard guy, can turn it into something good if he understands that."
[8.0] "a perfect fit for his role, an solid versatile and high flyer of a wrestler and he can put great matches and conect with the audience he doesnt have the it factor by any means but he is great for a cruiserweight and can really shine over the right spot and as a tag wrestler."
[6.0] "He's quite athletic, hits his moves crisply, and is at least ok at telling a story in the ring. His promo work is fine? A little tryhard sometimes but he does have some charisma. Seems to be lacking a certain "it" factor to propel himself past the level of lower midcarder."
[6.0] "I first saw him as a jobber in WWE, and as time progressed, and I've seen his Fuego del Sol gimmick, it's clear that's where he excels. An occasional win is fine, but right now he's the perfect jobber and needs to stay in that zone."
[5.0] "Not sure why Tony had to sign everyone. This guy counts as one of those people. So green and he had very little experience. He needed a lot more time on the indys."
[4.0] "Fuego and Serpentico are the greatest jobbers to ever job in AEW. I think Fuego Dos would be proud of his father if he was still here to witness his awesomeness."
[4.0] "Fuego Del Sol has a really special place in my heart. He was KAGE in KBW Wrestling, a backyard YouTube show where a bunch of kids wrestled on a trampoline. It's been really cool to watch him go from a kid that did that to being an AEW wrestler. Just awesome stuff."
[5.0] "If you don't watch the Sammy vlog you probably won't care about Fuego, and I don't hate myself so I don't watch it. He's a decent high flyer, but with his small size he won't even be much more than low midcarder. I'm not gonna stop what I'm doing to watch a Fuego Del Sol match, no sir."
[5.0] "Entertaining cruiserweight that has a surprising amount of support and fans, but he's already become an afterthought in AEW. They took advantage of his growing popularity and put him in against Miro, eventually earning himself a contract without doing much of anything. After that was over, he's just become another lightweight guy in a mask. He's likely never going to be in the main event picture, but he's capable and his DDT's are cool. Likely will stay a jobber, but he's good enough to seem believable as an underdog character."
[2.0] "If there's a storyline without sense in AEW you can pretty much know that Fuego Del Sol is involved in it. He's a fun jobber who always got a positive response from the fans. But the few times he appeared on Rampage and Dynamite against Miro were underwhelming. Poorly written segments may not be his fault, but he only appeared in those sucking spots, so probably there's not much more to squeeze from his character."
[8.0] "A very fun wrestler that portrays the underdog babyface so well. His character work is excellent, and he is solid in the ring. Not a technical mastermind, but he is extremely entertaining and is great at getting the fans behind him. He sells so well, he seems to be AEW's go to guy for getting heat on a monster heel."
[8.0] "I have nothing but respect for a wrestler that will ragdoll and yeet themselves at any given opportunity on b show squash matches. Am a sucker for a nice tornado DDT. Fuego's also shown some good instincts for leading a match based off his indie work. Has a fun match vs Bryan Keith on YT that shows what a more pushed Fuego could do"
[6.0] "Fuego del Sol is one of the best pure jobbers to the stars in the business right now. He's just a natural at making his opponents even more strong and dominating than they already are and he is a pretty good seller as well. A pretty rare talent nowadays and since AEW has already signed far less useful folks than Fuego is I don't know why he isn't already locked in a long term contract... apart perhaps for providing material to Sammy Guevara."
[7.0] "My favourite jobber right now. Fuego Del Sol is arguably the star of Sammy Guevara's Vlog, as he bids to get signed by AEW, losing on Dark pretty much every week, and trying but failing to hit his supposedly devastating Tornado DDT... and when he did hit it, his opponent rolled out of the ring before he could pin him. God loves a trier."
[7.0] "Fuego is an athletic high flyer. He's has good offensive moves. I've seen him do some big time spots for small crowds. He has good charisma. He's a very solid worker. He often has the best match on IWR card. With all the positives I still think his size limits his future. Even for a cruiserweight he looks puny. There just isn't any muscle to him. I still enjoy his work as an indie guy. That's probably his ceiling though."
